I can’t believe it’s been a year since you stepped away! You are so good and creative. You got me into bait making and it completely revitalized my love of fishing.
I was doing up a house and only just moved in this weekend, still got some work to finish but should be back making videos hopefully by the summer, thanks for the kind words
tm_is_hmong I agree 100%. I’m new to this channel, but love the calm delivery, the explanations, the soothing music, the underwater footage. All very enjoyable to watch.
Good idea. I use the corkscrew attachments, you way is a far less expensive way to do it plus you can use slimmer tails. Love your channel it is excellent
I really find useful see lure action underwater, I always have an idea in my head what the lure is doing and that is often very different from what the video show, cheers
Wow. Good idea. I live in the U.K. And I've only just started to lure fish. I always fish on flout and weight and I have done for the past 5 years. Any tips or tricks to get me started. It would be awsome if you made a video on tips and tricks for lure fishing. Love your vids. Keep up the good work
it is odd concept, slow lures down and it takes me a bit of time to adjust to winter fishing, I spend far too long banging lures along before I remember, cheers
Good idea I've even thought about this. Been adding stuff to stuff and to get more auction to baits. But I like then clips I just used then screw like wire. It goes onto the ring and into the bait. But I'm gonna try to find some wire and make your clip that's nice. Thanks sir another great idea. God bless
Hey Paul your work is incredible.. what apoxy resin is it that u use as a finish coat on your lures? The one that gives it the hard shiney plastic look? and is this the same as the 5 minute apoxy that u coat the wooden lure with before you paint it.. If you could help me out here it would be great thanks
hi have you seen them headbanger lures from i think sweden for pike? they look like the one in vid but with a popper front on a link so it popper head solid body with rattle then curly tail on link at back
The reason for making instead of a screw which i have made lots of and there even in other videos is I made this on the lakeside originally where making a screw with the tools I had and the time was not practical, so I made this and it worked and I caught pike with it and I have never had a problem with it , is it is good as a screw possibly not but so far I have not had any letters complaint from pike.

This was an excellent video! You should definitely make more lure hack videos!
thanks, I have few more up my sleeve
Great idea. I do the same thing with spoons to slow their descent and add a bit of action on the fall
That is a good idea, may have to give that a go
Classic Handmade Fisherman Video enjoyed every minute, great work, well done Paul!

Man, awesome editing. You are the best.
0:50 I call them needle nose pliers👌🏻
Good point on the tail slowing the action of the bait. Just like catching a weed does.

What a great video. Thank you for that. Definitely going to try it
Nice video my friend 🎣 😉 👍

i should also go fishing more, there is never anything with more fishing
Careful Paul, any cooler and the universe will self destruct.
I have no idea what you mean, but I will take it as a compliment, thanks
A good idea that I must try.
let me know how you get on
Amazing....
Great music choice mate
Лучше спираль сделать. И клеить не надо тогда. И поменять можно на другой цвет.
Nice have to give this a go 👌👍
good luck
Do you think this increases bites?
this is a killer if you use a buoyant or slow sinking lure

Very cool...subcribed---
Will it work with a single hook as well
Muito boa a dica!
thank you
is it work?
greatings from poland 👍
Why muck about and just arrange the treble and put the tail on one of the treble hook?
try it and see what happens

Isn't that a lipless crank?
in the uk they tend to be called jerk baits because you jerk them, but the names change depending where you are in the world
jeeerk bait
that is how we say it up in Liverpool, but normally with a few more eeeeee's
Poor contraption to attach the tail. Better to make a shallow screw for the tail. Holds the tail better on, and no need for the glue.
