  • BMX Trick Show from July 1986 in Newton, NC. Trick team was sponsored by Hutch Bicycles and Extraordinary Cycles. Trick riders were Leigh Ramsdell, Eric Sanborn, Matt Sherr and Greg Bloom (may have names misspelled). Throwback to 1980's BMX riding with the 8ft tall by 8ft wide quarterpipe and lots of ground tricks. Enjoy the 20 minute show!
Show recorded with an RCA VHS camcorder, apologies for the lack in quality. This was high tech back then!

Awesome to see how it all began. Van Halen playing in the back ground priceless.

Crazy how much the sport/tricks have evolved since then. When I was a kid, these looked like amazing advanced tricks.
Imagine how blown away these guys would be if a 21st century x-games rider showed up pulling triple back flips off a giant ramp.

Good show and good riding for the time. We spent some time hanging out and riding with the Havelock NC crew. Good riders and all around good dudes.

    I was offered $3,500
For my old trick star. The bike has too many great memories for about ANY amount.

sold my 81 goose, araya, takagi , shotgun, etc , etc mint mint ( even the nipples were meticulous. ) for 1, 100
and as I watched it rolling away across my lawn, i felt like a total loser..
big mistake, cause now its gone for good
even the decals; it was drop dead gorgeous
the quality of the chrome was so true , if you put that bike in a bike store now next to all the other shit
      nothing else would sell
Although some advancements have been made and the sport is faster than ever, vintage quality is still way way way superior.

It's amazing that I still have my BMX bike from the 80s in the attic. I was surprised to find out that it's worth almost three grand.

I mean I know this was in the 80s but all the times their feet touch the ground on a flatland trick is crazy
