    So glad you didn’t turn off the camera when rolling out the dough. I am not successful with pie dough and watching how patient you rolled the dough, taught me how to do this. Didn’t fast forward, Kevin, because this is what I needed to see. Thanks.

    Hi Kevin, agreed no need to apologize for long videos; there is so much work to preparing and making these videos for all of your subscribers. After all you are right there are sure to people who are trying this for the first time. Pie crust can be a lot to master without such thorough instruction. My husband has birthday on Monday so we will be making this. Thanks again

    Thank you very much for this video. I've been told that making a crust in the food processor is a great method, but no one has really shown me all the steps. Now I know what texture I'm looking for at different point in the prep. You're my hero Kevin. Thanks again.

    I think the key is the technique of rolling the crust out. I’m glad you showed that part!

    My grandmother taught me how to make pie crust using two butter knives to cut the flour into the shortening. The food processer was a game changer! I also use all butter, now too. I think it tastes better.

    Nope, no fast forwarding here. Been making pastry for donkeys years….always rushing to roll it out to get it done. Well, for donkeys years I’ve been doing it wrong…who knew, you did. Patients Carol, patients lol. Thank you Kevin, this tip is golden. Cheers form Alberta Canada.

    I have never been able to make a good pie crust....UNTIL NOW! Thank you, Kevin! This crust was delish and I also doubled it to make a second pie. The crust was light, flakey, and delicious for once. I have attempted pie crusts in the food processor before, but they never worked. Always tough, but your instruction made all the difference. This is a keeper for me. 40 years of never making homemade pie has now come to an end! xx

    Thanks for showing your rolling technique. I have always just quickly rolled in all directions and ended up "piecing" the holes. Your crust is much neater.

    My friends mother was a professional chef. She made Pinecrest with vegetable oil. I5 works good butter tastes better. Your butter crust may need many trips to the freezer but it is worth it.

    I use a pastry cloth but don't put mine in the dryer at all. I just hang it over my shower curtain rod to let it dry. I'm sure the 'Air Dry' or 'Cool' setting would work just as well but more quickly! I then told mine and put into a freezer bag and store on the door of my freezer. That helps to keep the pastry dough chilled.

    Can you make several of these and freeze them before rolling out? Thanks. I have been able to make pie crusts. Love the food processor way!

    • @kevinleejacobs1364
      @kevinleejacobs1364  2 года назад +1

      I sometimes do just that: Make several crusts, form them into disks, wrap each one in cling film, and freeze. To guard against freezer burn, you can put the wrapped dough in a plastic zip-lock bag.
