One of the many downsides of having Essential Tremor is what people think of you. Especially if your under 50. I’m 35 but the tremors started in my 20’s. People tend to think younger=healthy so if you’re shaking it’s for some other reason. I’ve had cops pull me over & ask “Why so nervous?” so I’m automatically more suspicious to them (even after I explain). People think I’m nervous or on drugs & make assumptions about me that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’ve found that the blood pressure medicine, Propranolol tends to help a lot but I’m needing higher doses of it over time. It’s just a shame how people jump to conclusions. 😕

I had also drank a energy drink a couple hours before which made me shake even more. These tremors have held me back my whole life from jobs or meeting new people. Going to drs for other reasons they’d assume I was doing illegal drugs. I just wish they’d at least calm down. The meds i’m on now don’t help at all.
There are people in life who would bully someone with hand tremors conditions like that and would mock such people born with conditions like that in life!
Okay so make a million of these and sell them at a reasonable price to all people with these issues walk away with a billion dollars and happy healthier customers

Has to be approved by your primary care physician. Not covered by health insurance. There is no cure. I have tremors (genetic inheritance from at least a couple generations back) and am trying other things to manage it. I have tried propranalol and primidone so far to no effect. Now I am using weights/exercises to see if strength/control improve. Sometimes better, sometimes not. Time may tell.

Afraid of meds, even otc's I try not to ever use now. Can't find any answers on the supplements I take that may be effecting it, no one wants to talk about supplements. I just take the Bs, C, Zinc, A, and collagen. I've eliminate all those for up to 2 days without any seeming effect. My head shakes badly, and my hands. But I manage still at least.
