    I developed a head tremor 9 years ago. My trick was to place my knuckle under my chin when people are near which would stop the tremor. I notice it is not working any more. This condition has caused much social anxiety taking away my normal livelihood.

      Is it shaking when simply sitting your head still ? Does it fade away when you walk ? I get a “tremor” I guess but more less like a stutter feeling when I specifically look down. I’m only 18 and this came on with anxiety but hell if I know

      I used to do this too, also wore a collar for a while but my Neurologist told me to remove it or my neck muscles would get to weak to support my head, and it worked, another trick I did was place my two middle fingers on my forehead and press gently just above the eyes. I had Generalised Dystonia and Blemophspasam which was the worst part, I've since had Deep Brain Stimulating which thankfully was a success, having my life back to normal now means so much to me as I'm a real outdoors kinda gal. And back horseriding. Best of luck to you going forward, I wish you the best ❤

      @PacManCj Hello. Tremors can be a result of many biological responses. If you haven't seen a neurologist, it would be best to do so.

      @unasmyth1379 So glad to hear you have your life back!! These neurological conditions can feel so debilitating. I have considered deep brain stimulation but have many reservations about it. I, too, was thinking of wearing a neck brace since a physical therapist recommended it, but idk. I wish you much continued success with dbs!!

    I do many of these tricks. Also if I wear a tight hairband it can help but then I get a headache. Some family members always asked me why i laid down a lot.....to rest my dang head! People without the constant tremor do not understand not only the physical pain but the societal embarrassment of always shaking.
    I also have MG, lost my spleen to ITP, bouts of vertigo, RLS since childhood, seizures as a child....blah blah blah. I'm a walking medical conundrum and since most docs just want to push a pill I do what I can do control my body best i can.

    Excellent tip but my situation is something different. I am 52 and have been diagnosed with PD almost 18 years back but started on the medication about 10 years back. I also have a degeneration of my spine which the orthopaedic surgeon did say. My current problem is when i go to sleep at night the moment i lie down flat on the pillow my neck movement starts rapidly and i sweat a lot at my back and my left leg seems to be moving rapidly. This movement subsidies after 30 to 45 mins. The Dr asks me to take zolcoma which is a sleep pill that makes me feel drowsy all day the next day. Any tips or guidance would really be helpful

    This head tremor I have is so annoying. I first developed several years ago. Probably been going on for the past 10 years. I have noticed it has gotten a bit worse over the past year. I am only 54, but I have the head tremor of someone in their 80s or 90s. I don't understand why. I don't think it is Parkinson's; but I am getting concerned. If I sit up straight and arch my chest forward and my head back, the tremor declines. My neck does always feel tight. Also, an xray from 2 years ago showed a calcium deposit in neck behind my head. It is located near near the C7 bone in my neck. I think it has something to do with my head tremor.

Very frustrated. I have been tested for everything pretty much. Bladder and bowel issues also and sometimes extremem head fog. personally, I think I have MS and had an MRI that showed some periventricular hypersensitivities. Wish I could get a diagnosis....

    • @joshkatieellis639
      @joshkatieellis639 Год назад +2

      Sounds like cervical dystonia. When your head shakes that will cause the dizziness and balance problems too. Definitely get checked out for MS but it could be cervical dystonia brought on by neck or jaw or back problems? Accident? Your eyes tell your brain to center themselves, according to my neurologist, and so they tremor to try to get your head back in the center. Botox from neuro specialist can help.

    Thankyou for the video. 37 years ago when I was in a very stressful situation in school as a 13 yr old child ,my head just began shaking out of the blue ,for years it would shake only in anxious/stressful situations.Fast forward over the years I have been to see different neurologists and have been diagnosed with different disorders.
    I recently went to see a movement disorder specialist,and he said he’s 95% certain it’s functional neurological disorder but is not entirely sure so has organised for me to see an MDS in London for a second opinion. My question is if I have FND ,would it have caused my head to begin tremoring under stress all those years ago? I would love to hear your thoughts.Thankyou in advance . Vanessa from 🇬🇧

      My son has head tremors as well as nystagmus. He has been billed by his peers and teaches because they think he’s being obnoxious when he talks to them. He has been “ disciplined “ for simply telling his side of any conflict as they think he’s speaking with arrogance and is being “ snotty”
      He is now 15 and hasn’t been to school in a few yrs, and his only friends are online. It is absolutely awful.

The rocking back and forth ones are sometimes soothing till they move up and go sideways into a 5 hour shake down till I sleep from pure exhaustion and they either keep ripping in my sleep or go to sleep. I wake up like I worked out and ran a marathon lol. Repeat if they feel energized till I exhaust again then pray for a day of tremors at bay where sleep takes over and it's once again Tremor time round and round we grow to live together in perfect harmony. I am getting to know this bugger inside me and hopefully soon I will find it's source and healing begins to release this invader from harming another humans being. No one deserves this monster mayhem and together we are on the cure to the pathway we make for all in better DayZ . They can curb kick us and still never be close to hittin it.
