    Most of the time the sensor doesn't need replacing, only cleaning with a fine abrasive or steel wool. The orange flame sense LED illuminates when flame is sensed, not when there is a problem. If flame is erratic, then light will blink. If no flame is sensed, LED will not illuminate. Pressure switches usually have clogged ports where tubing hooks up or intake or exhaust passages are not clear. If high efficient furnace-check the drain. It's probably clogged.

    Thank you for telling me there are charts inside the furnace door with information on them. I was able to find out the pressure switch was open after two separate heating and cooling companies were here and said there was nothing wrong with the furnace. One even said it was my thermostat and charged too much to put in a lower grade than what I had.

    He sure makes it sound easy. Lol.. not that simple most of the time people... What he didn't tell you is that the flame sensor being the problem is if your lucky.. those codes don't tell what's wrong all the time, sometimes a code will come up and its something totally different that's causing that code to pop up

    My problem is when I turn on the furnace, it's go on for a few seconds than turn off. Than my furnace board green and red is flashing. Update code for that is 1 hour lockout.

      You will have to look at the schematic and the inside of the furnace door panel, there is usually a description of what all the lights do right there.

    My Honeywell ignition retry seems to be giving off multiple codes but everything seems to be working properly but sometimes the damper flap doesn't open all the way and I just push it a little and it kicks on

    • @MrHardware1
      @MrHardware1  2 года назад +2

      That sounds like it needs replacement, CO poisoning is not to be toyed with.

    LED 2 blinks after starting the exhaust blower on weather king unit. Pressure switch was not turning on. I tracked the house back to the blower and found I couldn't blow or suck from the hose. Turns out some debris was inside the blower tube outlet which I cleared with a small wire. Maybe carbon crumbs because it sounded grainy. So some advice there on checking the hose and pressure switch before spending money on that switch sensor or even telling a tech to bring one because most likely they'll sell it to you to score an easy job.

    My manual and door instructions do not say what the red led means. It is blinking 9 times and stay in for a while before blinking again.
    I notice the red led turns on in your video, but you change the camera position right after it happens. It's it normal?

    troubleshoot my goodman hot forced air furnace. Heres exactly what happened.. replaced the original thermostat with a smart thermostat and the ROLLOUT SWITCH kept triggering. So I went back to the original thermostat and as I was doing so the R and the W wire accidently touched my screw driver and caused the led light in the circuit board to show that it has no power.
    Next, I checked the on/off switch. All good, 120V. I then checked the junction box on the furnace. All good, 120V. I then checked the cover switch, all good, polarity tested fine.
    I looked around and I do not see any burnt wires. made sure there not no disconnected/loose wires, all good. I thought on the circuit board and could I pull a code from there. No light to tell me if there was a code. I have 120 V going to the transformer and 28V? coming out. I checked the 3amp fuse on the circuit board, good.
    I'm at the point where I think the circuit board is dead but not 100% sure any recommendations #hvac please reach out thanks!

      Look on the inside of the door, access panel, hopefully the codes are listed there. Or call customer service, I don’t know all, barely any, codes. I can only compare my lights to my supplied codes.

      This is a longshot, but the flame sensor, which is in the burner area of a furnace, which is a single wire that sensors to see if there’s flames could be the problem. because if it gets dirty and it doesn’t sensor the flames it shuts the unit down in a few seconds. mrhardware.com/articles-and-videos/heating-cooling/easy-furnace-flame-sensor-repair-clean-replace-fix/
