    Good tip brother, everyone has a 5/16 nut driver for the hose clamp setup and this kit is enough to slow them down to move on to the next truck. Great tip and info! Will be getting one for my F250 for sure.

    Won't theives just buy this kit so they now also have the universal key?

      Former criminal here (I did my time). We wouldn't bother. Much easier to just move on to the next truck which likely doesn't have this product. Once in awhile you see these or something similar and then you just abort because seconds truly do count and it's simpler to just move on

    Mine was stolen a couple weeks ago. Mostly because my dumb ass left my tailgate unlocked. LOCK your tailgate just because you don’t have a shell doesn’t mean you can leave it unlocked.

    Would I be able to install this on a my tailgate with the power gate. It’s a 24 f250 king ranch, and there’s a metal plaque with a bolt already on there

    Do they make one for 2022 GMC Sierra 1500? I’m getting mixed answers online for fitment.

      You know I’m not sure but I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit it. They all use the same basic setup.

    • @JJBanuelos

      Oh for sure. It’s a universal fit. Most tailgates have the same fitting

    What can you install for the tailights, I just got mine stolen

    • @albertolariosmarque
      @albertolariosmarque 5 месяцев назад

      Strip the bolts that hold the taillight.
      You’ll have to drill them out when you need to remove them,

    So only one lock is needed? 2 or one on each side?

  • @cobyporschifer221

    Maybe ? A prybar or Hammer & chisel can break that plastic off in seconds. The hassle and noise might make the SCUMBAGS pick another truck. Thanks for info 👍

      I installed the hose clamp on mine but I put it on so that you can't use a screwdriver or nut driver to remove the clamp. You have to use a 1/4" ratchet and socket which is easy if you have one handy but takes time. I'm thinking of putting JB weld on the hex nut so even I would have to cut it off if I want to remove the tailgate. I'm hoping that they will see the clamp on there and move on to a truck that is easier. I also ordered anti-theft screws for my tail lights since mine have the blind spot radar in them. One guy with a Super Duty had his stolen and the dealer charged 4000 dollars to replace them.

    you do realize that everyone just uses a hose clamp. u can also strip the head so its more of a pain.

    Stealing tailgates?! Tailgate theft is not a problem here in Albuquerque. They just steal your truck.
