Hey Alex, do you know why the HeadRush units seems to sound better through studio headphones or USB recorded like your doing vs using the HeadRush frfr ? I’m trying to get the best tone using my HR 108 but the sound is very different. Thanks.
Just surfed in and found your channel, and can't for the life of me understand while you're not getting more traffic and likes. Great presentation and explanations!
Thanks so much, Kurt! I really try to make modeling feel and sound real and relate each model to its real life equivalent. As for getting more traffic, there is 1 other channel that's been out there for a few years that has an edge on my recent startup channel so the algorithms probably bring people searching there first. I'll get there someday, for now I just wanna make the best quality content I can make with my resources and limited time, while also not being a carbon copy of other said channel lol
@@alexmansman - I get it. I recently picked up a HeadRush Gigboard, and as a bassist, I'm trying to find IRs and rigs that really work for me. The unit is kinda limited on those right now, but I have heard that HeadRush plans to release a newer firmware soon (later this year?) with a lot more bass-specific content.
@@kurtodell3990 yes there is definitely more bass content coming in a future update. IRs can be tough. The most difficult part of modeling is getting the output source right. I highly recommend starting with York Audio impulse responses. He's got a few bass ones as well.
@@Tremenzz thank you, glad it was helpful. Yes they're fully compatible with the MX5 but the footswitch assignments won't all be there obviously because it has less of them
@@alexmansman Great! Downloaded them all from your different YT movies. But some were missing a link for instance the Mesa Boogie rigs. Any chance on sharing all of your rigs via a Dropbox link? Anyway, many thanks!
@@jojo2becbec you'd need to download the whole thing unless you wanna sift through specific files of mine you don't have yet. You definitely don't need to download load the same IRs over and over. And you definitely don't need to download the se effects blocks over and over like the parametric post eq and compression. But honestly none of the files really take up any significant space and if you for example drag the entire "Blocks" folder to your Headrush it'll tell you which files are duplicate and you can just select "skip these files". That to me is the cleanest way to move things over and avoid duplicates on your Headrush. I know it can be a little cumbersome but the reason I make the rig packages that way is once you start using .rig files with custom named effects and amp blocks in them and you go to load the rig, but the custom named blocks aren't on your headrush the rig can sometimes be broken. I hope to find a better solution at some point.
Thanks! It's Ibanez RG350EXB. MF and GC exclusive models. I think they only sell it in blue now. Found this one used for $200! And my wife and I made the racing stripes with vinyl we bought at Walmart
Thank you so much!! I am monitoring through a Headrush 112 mounted on a pole next to me, but that is not what you're hearing. What you hear is the Headrush's USB out recorded directly into my computer.
Sounds great.... Thanks for sharing
Thank you!

Really Nice tones and explanation man! Learned a lot. Are these rigs also compatible with the MX5?

@@Tremenzz I unfortunately don't own a Headrush or those files anymore. I don't know why I never uploaded the Mesa ones

Hey Alex, that guitar was wicked. Cool. What model and type of guitar are you using?
