I would add one to my truck too. But, when adding an aftermarket front bumper a lot of times that won't fit anymore.
I bought a trd skid plate the other week ago, I just got done spraying it black since my truck is also black, looks great with the red TRD lettering. Hopefully I have time this weekend to install it. Looks simple enough

@@111MediaMT I used a flat black rustoleum. It still looking fabulous after a year.

Hi mumfy, this is more like a question, does one REALLY need those two front parallel steel bars to install the skit plate? I ask because I don’t have mines no more.
These bars are the ones you screw on to the front of the skit plate
Not sure if it can be secured properly without having the bars. Perhaps you could find them at a pick and pull location.
Can you cut back on the db's for the musak

If am am running stock on my 2018, will I need to remove the bottom front bumper protector. I put this on my 2nd gen, though I want to put it on my 3rd gen now. Do you have installation instruction in pdf? I have replaced mine
Im not sure if a 2nd gen skid plate will fit a 3rd gen. You will need to remove the air dam to install it.
I just got my plate today, however, it's missing the 12 mm bolts on the rear. Can I reuse the 12 mm bolts off the old plate on the back, or do they also come with spacers like the 17 mm bolts do?
I believe you can. You may need to get a couple washers. The only issue could be that they aren’t long enough.

The tires I have in this video are the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in a 285/70/17. The offset for the Toyota wheels are a +4.

Keep track of what you spend building your Taco and let me know if I did the right thing by paying $48750 for my 2020 Super White TRD PRO.
I could price out what I’ve done to closely resemble a TRD Pro if that is what you are asking. A lot of the additions I’ve done will price over the Pro base price.
Do you have link of where you purchased it?
I ordered mine off Amazon. I just added the link to the description.
If you not purchased it yet, go to your local dealership it will cheaper and way cheaper if you pick up at dealer.
Really want to get one but it seems to be able to get stolen really easy if you’re parked outside your house
That is a possibility, but there are also thieves that will chop your cat off the truck as well, so you can only do so much to deter thieves.

Will this oem skid plate hold up well in the winter climates compared to the stock on the TRD sport model?
The OEM skid plate is aluminum, so you won’t get any rusting issues. It will get dirty from normal daily driving though.
