I know this carol well. Being Canadian I learned it as a little girl and have performed it off and on in choirs all my life. I’ve even done a couple of arrangements. I’ve never heard it done so beautifully. Thank you. ❤🇨🇦
Wow... thats really captivating and attention holding... Wow! Im in awe! Its beautiful. I don't believe in a religion but, I love organs and I love choirs. Goosebumps right now!
Nice to see Eleanor Daley's work performed; I sang for her in a church choir here in Toronto back in the 1980's and have sung her works in various other choirs. Great performance!
Really captivating, great arrangement, and beautifully, very musically sung by fresh, young people - and behind that all is, of course, a very good choir-conductor. And still: very beautiful, inspiring place to sing with great, supporting acoustics, and a very good recording & sound quality! Christmas greetings from Finland 🎵 🎄
Our earlier and so far only if I'm guessing right. Didn't Simon Weil say in her essay on the Iliad, Poem of Force, that when you hit perfection on the very first go, it provides you with little impetus to try again.
A good choirmaster and a good choir. Great ! But I was shocked at first. The leader looks like my math teacher 40 years ago. I knew even then that she would never die. Best wishes from Hamburg/Germany 😀
A beautiful, haunting carol, for sure. One of my faves. But so fun, to watch the eyes of your sopranos and altos. Anna, they worship you. They want to be SO like you. You are just a few years their senior, and YOU are their inspiration. Thank you, for giving them that excitement. And taking on the responsibility, of leading these young souls
Thinking of St Jean de Brebeuf penning these words and notes in a wigwam as the winds howled round him makes me grieve that he didn't write more of them. Did the Wendat live in wigwams? I have no idea. How remiss of me.
I'm assuming you are kidding about who wrote it. It was written by a Jesuit priest in 1643 as a way to bring the story of the birth of Christ to the First Nations of Canada in a way that they would understand. If you were being sarcastic, then whoosh for me.
Lovely! Well done. ..the only change I’d make is to have the women quieter on the second verse so the words from the men come through better. ..not a big deal since most people know the words anyway. Thanks for posting!

Anna has so much passion and love for all she does! I just adore watching her!

Thank you Choristers for your fine work and dedication.

I have checked and this is the best version of the Huron Carol on RUclips.
I don't know what to say. This is pure joy. Most beautiful. Thank you very much.
SAY YES TO THE CHORAL WORK OF ANNA LAPWOOD

Eleanor Daley is a genius. What a beautiful arrangement. Also, such a lovely choral group.

Anna is a multi-talented woman .
Beautiful harmonies !

Anna! This is so wonderfully and sensitively done! 👌 Thanks for also featuring Canadian music and our earliest carol! 😍🇨🇦

You just brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.
Beautifully done!
I totally agree with what you think of the way that Daley writes for upper voices. It gives the piece such a sweet quality.
Magic!
This lady has such passion doing something she enjoys you have to admire her
So beautifully sung, a wonderful song, I love it, also my three year old friend!

I have lost count of how many times I have watched this particular; it is that beautiful!
Oh God! I’d loooooooove to see you once, live in Poland 🥰😍🔥
This was written in Huron and French by Father Brébeuf in the 17 century. I've sing it in a three languages version.
Gorgeous setting. You're doing fantastic work with these singers. Thank you for this!
Excellent performance.
That was absolutely heavenly beautiful !
Learned this for school and sang it with my class in the 80s. Lac du Flambeau, WI

Good response and respect reverence moment Sing Young's.Amen.
beautiful!
Wow!
Very nice!
Beautiful. (I'm also impressed at any singer who can get through 'ragged robe of rabbit skin' without giggling)
Sounds funny but I suppose that’s what Native babies might have actually worn 😊
We have been singing that hymn since Burl Ives wrote it way back when... but I have never heard such a beautiful arrangement thank you.

Great woman

Though this is not my kind of music - I can hear the passion and artful work from all of you thx
love it. But I'm not a streamer - can I buy a CD? (old fashioned gal!👵🏻)
