The funny thing about that 5-1 Rams start is that it was actually NOT via a cupcake schedule. They beat 3 teams that finished with winning records (Packers, Bears, Falcons) and the other 2 were decent at 7-9. The only team they beat in 95 that was below average was the Kotite Jets. Guess this Niner game really affected them THAT much
The Rams thought that they were back and were going to make a statement, but got brought down to earth by the 49ers. That loss was so devastating that they went back to suck the rest of the year and suck until Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk came along in 1999 and won the Super Bowl. This loss was that devastating and it showed.

This would be the last game at Busch Memorial Stadium played on artificial turf. Afterwards, the surface would be replaced by natural grass for the baseball Cardinals and would remain that way until the stadium's closure in 2005.
Artificial turf (or Astroturf) was an understandable invention but it was so damaging in the long run to the health of those who played on it. I think of the turf at the old Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, when it cold, you might as well have been playing on cement that was painted green. I guarantee you that was what ended Michael Irvin’s career two or three years sooner than it should have, getting his head slammed into that turf.
I think most fans would agree with you - especially considering the glorified convention center that they moved into after this game. Had they actually had a decent, real football stadium instead of that dark, drab place they probably would still be there.
as a 49er fan...back in the day I consider free wins when playing the rams....bt this beatdown was bad that some of the rams that played for that 99 rams team that won the super bowl. that they never forgot about this game and always haunted them.. and they were so many times that in and after the 99 season..the rams pounded the 49ers to the ground...and its the year 2022 and the rams are back in L.A and won the super bowl...
Hi I just wanted to know if you have any more old Niner Games from the 1994 season. I'm looking for the December 94 games against the Falcons, & Broncos in particular.
I forgot the first four home games were played at old Busch Stadium until they moved into the monstrosity known aa the TWA Dome. If St. Louis is again blessed with an NFL team they must do a better job on building a stadium. Copy what LA or LV did.
Here are the 1995 buffalo bills. That are missing from this year 1995 week2 Carolina Panthers at buffalo bills 1995 week3 Indianapolis colts at buffalo bills 1995 week 6 new York jets at buffalo bills 1995 week7 Seattle Seahawks at buffalo bills 1995 week10 buffalo bills at Indianapolis colts 1995 week 12buffalo bills at new York jets 1995 week 13 new England Patriots at buffalo bills 1995 week 17 Houston Oilers at buffalo bills I would love to see these games I every seen these games I would love to have these games in my collection and in the 1995 NFL season chronological games please post them please ☝️
The 49ers couldn’t even crack 10 points against either team. Maybe they used up all their scoring in this game lol but in 1995, the Niners weren’t the same team as they were the year before, age and injuries were starting to catch up with them.

52:27 one of the reason's why Summerall and Madden were the best duo of all time

I miss Sunday football with Madden and Summerall on cbs. Lots of great memories watching those two call games back in the day.
Those two men, the all time greatest sports commentators.

Of course the first 3 minutes were cut out and theres was a touchdown
The 49ers dominated their rivalry with the Rams in the 1990s. 49ers 17-3 against the Rams in the 1990s.
Those two losses was in 1999 when the Rams FINALLY had the talent to beat the 49ers with Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, and Torry Holt
The last football game played at Busch stadium , two
I wonder if there’s more 1995 and 1997 San Francisco 49ers full length of classic Football Games.
This was the Same Ole Sorry Ass Rams game and last at Busch Stadium before they moved into their new digs the Trans World Dome a few weeks later.

St. Louis Busch Stadium looks similar to Pittsburgh 's Three River Stadium.
That's funny, because they're both Baseball stadiums.
Yep, ha ha! NFL really don't have stadiums the shared with MLB anymore. Except Oakland
More like bengals stadium then 3 rivers
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

After this game the Niners had the lowly Saints and Panthers, should have been two easy wins and a 7-2 record going into the Dallas game. NOPE.

New city same old rams
No make that same old sorry ass Rams
Horrible video quality
Watching the Rams on artificial turf never looked right. Glad they are back in Los Angeles where they belong.
So the Greatest Show on Turf looked unorthodox to you?
