Don’t understand the thumbs down… this is the most clear explanation of saving and exporting. I agree with another commenter about your explains the how and why perfectly and succinctly. Thank you!!!!

I gotta say, even 2 years after the recording of this video, the info is still very relevant and helped me out tremendously, and I thank you for putting this together, in such step by step detail, well done 👏

You can also use the loop to select what you want to export instead of highlighting all the tracks.

Good morning brother... First of all, THANK YOU for being without a doubt one of the most proficient and on point teachers in the game. I hope you can just clarify one thing for me in the rendering options. If my MASTER TRACK has EQ/Multiband Dynamics/Limiter or anything like this, am I supposed to turn "ON" the "Include Return and Master Effects" box ??? Thanks again for being YOU! I have subscribed quite naturally... Oh, and to clarify, I am exporting the MASTER not individual tracks... Have a blessed day!

Great video! I've been a musician for a long time but just getting into recording my own material. Question: if using Ableton for windows can I share files with someone using a mac and vise versa? Sorry if this is a stupid question. As I said, I'm new to this. :-)

a bit missing is exporting a mix that you want to save before doing a different mix; I assume that the best (only) way is to Save a Copy though it seems odd to me that there isn't a save mix option

Hi hope you can help here, i recently recorded a live set in Live Lite.. 3 midi tracks and one audio (Drums) via the inputs on my interface, when I play it back I hear everything including the audio track, but when I collect and save and send it my friend who has the same version of Ableton, he cannot hear the audio track (drum track from my Alesis kit)...any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone encountered distortion/popping sounds at the beginning of your audio export? I have this constantly and at a loos as to what causes it

    Nice Video.Regards from Portugal.
I Have a problem i need Help for this
    Can anyone explain me ?
In Protools i bounce several tracks
in a group track with all pan worked
but i dont Bounce in Stereo, i Bounce
    in Multiple Mono.
Than i Open a project in Ableton Live
and import the 2 Mono tracks for 2 tracks in Ableton
i assume the 2 tracks together its a Stereo File in ableton right ?
    in Ableton , the 2 tracks i put in Center ( C )
Than if i want export again the 2 tracks in Ableton
    but in Multiple mono ?
    In Ableton i only see ( Stereo ) or ( Mono )
if i export in mono one track than the other
i need to change the Pan all to Left and the
other track all to R ?
Or i export the 2 tracks in Center ( C)
    Preserve the Stereo fild ?
Ableton dont have Multiple Mono L and R
    Thanks !

Hello how are you? For some reason Live is not saving what im doing to it; It's not saving any changes i'm making to the set. example: i change a bunch of parameters and volume of each track, then save the set, then load it, and it loads the old set before the changed were made.
    thanks

Ableton? Logic? Soundtracker for Amiga? Users worldwide have abandoned them for Cubase. Good for them.

I have a really terrible issue and i desperately need help. I've been producing for about a year now and to cut a long story short all my projects are saved within one project (the first one i ever made) I thought it was no problem as it as organised but now that I've come to trying to move and export stems for other computers' and producers to use i realise its become a huge issue as my files are always offline. is there any way i could sort this out, thanks in advance to anyone who knows

    • @tonyc110
      @tonyc110 2 года назад

As in they are in one project's folder or they are actually in one Ableton set? If you use Collect All and Save, you can ensure that your samples etc. are copied again into your project so there will be a folder including them. Then whoever you send it off to should have them.

Why does my exported audio sound completely fine on ny laptop but it sounds more muddy on my phone? How do I make my exported audio sound good on all devices?

Hi Tyler, do you mean when you play music back on your phone speaker vs your laptop speakers?

    • @tylerdelatorre8230

@@MusicTechOfficial Yes, when I listen to the exported audio on my phone it sounds less clear compared to when I listen to it on my laptop.

many things you are saying are wrong.... like render loop option explanation which is misguiding of what really does, which is more simpler
