1:18 seconds in and this immediately makes sense to me. I'm an environmental consultant and heavily use GIS software which is the same... just a giant package of links to the actual data stored in directories elsewhere on the computer. Great to see this perspective applied to Ableton, will be handy when I get going!
Your student's Sylenth1 is installed as an audio unit and yours is installed as a vst (or vst3). Live recognizes those as different plugins and gives you an error message. To fix this, install the plugin as AU and/or enable Audio Units in Live's preferences. Hope that helps!
perfect video exactly the answers to the question I had in my mind as hoping to get use a third party to complete my musical ideas on Ableton many thanks!!!!
Hi, Underdog! Thank you for this tutorial! Have a one question. What if my friend send me back his edited version of project, would the unfrozen plugins play like they were played before I sent project for editing?
Hey Underdog! I was wondering where u are saving and collecting to? do you take extra steps to separate your projects to save to different folders? thank you!
@@am5790 Yup! Make sure u install the splice app to ur Ableton folder so it can scan ur projects, then u can share those projects with anyone with a splice acct.
