- Some Cambridge Surprise Major rung at Beeston. These bells have a lovely, mellow tone and are very easy to ring. The back eight bells have a rich history, with origins dating back to 1870 and 1877, with the eighth bell probably being a recast in 1967. In 1998, two trebles were added, completing the set. These additions have integrated seamlessly, resulting in a harmonious and well-balanced ten that work really nicely together.
