I bought mine mid-April (it's my first bike), and to summarize my experience in one sentence, this bike is more Bruce Wayne than Tony Stark. Confident, competent and yet... so calm and composed. Full of personality. It's in no hurry to show you what it can do, and I love that about it (I felt that the other KTM's have that "pick me" energy, and I don't really like that). Shumi got a lot of points right, but my honest opinion is that the bike is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for the beginner/intermediate defensive rider. It downplays it's abilities on normal days, but once things get serious, it doesn't hesitate to go all out. Some might mistake this bike to be sluggish, but don't get disillusioned folks! Find an open road, rev past 8k rpm, the experience is plain exhilarating. The up and down Quickshifter+ is the cherry on top. I also really like the way it looks. Just wish it had those ring light drls that the svartpilen had. Felt like KTM-Bajaj are deliberately downgrading it to say "THIS IS NOT A FLAGSHIP", and that's a bit annoying. Maybe I am really romanticizing it, but man do I love my "Chillpilen 250". I saved up and bought the all access membership to thank both of you gentlemen and the Motorinc team for introducing me to the world of motorcycling. ATGATT, peace!!
Chai Racer is already a thing, Shumi just coined the term! Great video team, what would you highlight to be the difference between this and the Speed 400? Given both have a laid back sort of manner about themselves?
Yes both feel pretty relaxed. The Speed 400 is more comfortable around the city, the Vitpilen's suspension's slightly better at highway speeds. Speed 400 is smooth to about 105kmph after which it complains and refinement drops. Vitpilen is never fully smooth but the experience is consistent and post 120-ish you'll feel some vibration starting out.
I have bought the vitpilen 250 and it is really a chill bike, I like the vibe and can go zoom on command, vibration after 8000 rpm is there. Overall a head turner and a nice chillpilen.

Ok so I don’t wanna sound like an ass but I feel like Shumi sometimes interrupts Kartikeya when he’s going a lil off topic or joking about something and if this is your dynamic to play good cop bad cop or something and try to stick to the format then by all means please go ahead. I’m just saying that if you guys go a lil bit off track and joke around and banter a little more, I think it’ll be fine and maybe a lot more people will appreciate it. Again, you guys are experienced so don’t want this to sound like a complaint or anything. Thanks for the great content as always.
Also just give credit where it is due, I haven’t seen a lot of car first impressions but from the one or two i have watched, I can see Shumi is listening a lot more and supporting when Kartikeya is talking because he seems to be the expert on cars.
Thanks for a very enjoyable discussion. I drive by a KTM dealership on my evening commute. Most of the time i see customers testing different KTM bikes. The husqverna bikes are a very rare sight outside of the display stand. I sometimes feel that the proximity to the KTM does not allow the Husqvarna brand achieve a distinctive identity.
I have no plans of ever buying a bike but here I am listening to these two. You dudes could be talking about paint drying and I guess you’d still manage to make it irresistibly engaging - thank you for the content!!

1. Chai racing is a thing because we have more of Chai culture than Coffee. I have seen people going from Mumbai to Ahura (Dahanu) just to have tea and bun maska. So, Chai racer can actually be a thing... 😂😂😂 BTW, Very Good review! ❤
Had a test ride of the Husqvarna 250 last week. I am in the market for a 250 motorcycle, because I want the balance of contained performance and financial efficiency. And after VStrom 250, KTM 250, KTM Adv 250 and Honda CB200X, I found the Vitpilen an absolute breath of fresh air. So much so, I don't really care about anything but the vibe of this motorcycle. It's like love at first sight. If it clicks, it clicks. If it doesn't you won't turn around to see this bike again. But if you click, brother, you're going to walk down the aisle for sure. I am just mustering up the courage to commit now. Fingers crossed.
I recently owned this bike ,I use to own R15v3 past 5 years . The R15 was very committed and was not so practical as my parents facing problem in pillion seat . So felt need to upgrade for better practicality and pillon comfort .I have driven the RE classic but didn’t find it exciting over 80 kh/hr . And So on gone through all bike in this segment and price range . And finally bought the chillpilen 250✌️. "People reaction: is it An EV or CNG". so looks are subjective, I’m not fully convinced with the design(drl is a miss) but can live with it . These days finding character in a motorcycle is getting tough but this bike have it own vibe. It’s smoother than duke but doesn’t lag behind . Also my parents really like it because of its practicality and pillion comfort .And it’s easy to manage and pocket friendly ,although the pricing felt little expensive but not much of a deal breaker(on road:2.60lac). Unlike ktm duke this bike will earn you some respect in society .Highly recommended for beginners. Quick summary was so fun to hear, "chillpilen" what a great funky name. Also I noticed Shumi using US slangs like " After 200 kms you gonna need GAS" rather than using Petrol which was something I heard first time in indian motoring scene lol. --->I had some quick question to ask abt my first motorcycle which I am going to buy and I think shumi might add something to that discussion.{also I am upgrading from activa 3g which has 8bhp and 8nm of power figure} -->For my first bike I have thaught of 2 bikes for myself: 1st is xpulse 2004v and 2nd is dominar 250.I am thinking of doing long trips to other state(if my parents agree) for my masters. or else I will be using it most of the time in city ->I want xpulse because I like enduro bikes, its in my budget and I want to buy it because I want to learn to ride tall bikes. ->I want dominar because I love the looks of it, it will give some amount of thrill to me and I want to learn how to handle heavy bikes in traffic and all. >Are there any other bikes around 2.5 lakhs price with manage able power which I should consider or wait to buy till the end of the year? >Also I heard from the motorinc's "first bike" podcast that you should go step wise to upgrade your riding skills, So I don't want to jump from 8bhp to likes of 30ish or 40ish bhp line. I want to experience the middle lane like 20ish bhps.
Hey Meet! We don't recommend the Dominars at all. We'd suggest you re-look at the list and consider everything within your budget up to a max of 30-35bhp. Test ride as many as you can and ping? The Xpulse sounds like a good idea. Be sure to check forums for ownership reviews. The Hero ownership experience isn't quite as straightforward. And do check online for the Xpulse 210 - it might not be too far away
Shumi & Kartik. You guys make bike riding so interesting that car driving 5:23 nuts like me ( I’ve stopped biking since 2008) almost feel compelled to get back.😍
I bought a svart sometime back. It's a good bike, not as aggressive as a 390 sure but it has character. The only mental agony I have is the tubeless tyres, which the showroom doing nothing about unfortunately.
As much as I love these impressions, hearing your thoughts on bigger machines would also be so much fun! The Desert X part just leaves me longing for a little bit super bike content occasionally 😁
This genre of a fireside chat about bikes is so fantastic. Time flies just listening to the two of you. The skewed pricing of the 400cc segment vs the 250 segment is going to be a major disruptor, if it is not already.
I just bought this bike its my first bike and its awesome a chill vibe with powerful engine great electronic comfortable for long rides and a great attention grabber. Just a drawback is the vibrations but can be managed with a good grip puppy (Brand Name)
@@motorincI do get that compliment for my name frequently haha thnx to my mom just an update after the first service the vibrations have gone down a lot maybe it would smoothen out more by the third service and as it get more kilometres on it
I feel I may be one among those few guys who loved the design of the 1st gen Husquies. The design was radical and quirky. The only reason why I didn't get the cafe racer was because it was not available in 400 cc back then. Iam not a big fan of the reworked design. But i feel more people will like this.
35mins for a Motorinc First video just doesn’t cut it. It needs to be at least 40 mins and above. That’s how much I enjoy watching you guys speak about cars and motorcycles 😅 In the future do you guys have any plans of making videos on let’s say Ninja 650 or Trident 660 or even about your personal cars and/or bikes you guys have owned in the past or currently? Really looking forward to your future videos regardless. Lots of love to both of you guys and the entire Motorinc team. ❤
I got his bike... my first bike... so it's well under control for a new rider. Abs works lik.charm.... the tyre width is so good for the ride... I changed the handle to adventure 250 handle bcos I'm bit taller... only issue I faced was..no aftermarket or company accessories available... had to alter another grab handle for add luggage rack at the back...
11:29 that grabrail is a consequence of customer feedback - “my pilion feels like they’ll fall off every time I accelerate 🤦🏻♂️” Seriously, if you’re riding pilion, don’t be a dead weight. Help the rider out, it’s fun for both people.
Here in Germany, having something to grab for the passenger is mandated by law. Hence the handle/spoiler thing. They probably just put it on every bike because it's easier to manufacture, even if it's not required.
I would rather wait around for your reviews even if it's late cause that means the vehicle will be thoroughly tested on the roads as wells and we will get to see the real world issues or advantages. That makes spending our hard-earned money (which is depreciating fast) worth the spend. Never feel rushed. We appreciate what you do here.
Something interesting would be if Kartikeya also takes rides and talks about what the bike was for him as well. One thing I notice about my style of riding is, I'm pretty much on board with Schumi. I find riding my Xpulse on the road boring and find my Duke 390 more interesting. I took a test ride of the RS457 and I wasn't exactly thrilled about it. I was enjoying it, but it didn't excite me because I felt like my duke had a more murderous aura to it that suited my flavour. So for me, when I talk to people about bikes, it's always the ones that are more aggressive that I navigate towards. So imagining someone who's into the "calmer" side also be side by side talking about the same bike would be a good picture to paint.
Thank you so much for your amazing content! This is my first time commenting on your video, but I’ve been a fan of Sumi since the PD days. While the content on this channel is incredibly rich, I would love to see more information on the RTO scenario in India. It would be really helpful to learn about the dos and don’ts of buying and selling a vehicle, as well as tips on navigating the RTO website. Thank you for considering my suggestion, and keep up the fantastic work!
The reason why older models had smaller tank, is because it made you stop for refuels, giving the engine some breathing time to cool down and then get going. It really makes a difference when you stop for 10 mins to the engine. The newer engine is SOHC setup, less complex, thus could do more functionally and practically. Everything is done in some rational design and process.
guys, precisely at 8:40, that's Kartikeya expression summing up working with Shumi. Oh, what a time to give a Galaxy watch with a wide bezel reference! I would call that a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra or something like that.
The fact that the riding position is not as sporty as before is a bummer. I LOVED the earlier Vitpilen's riding position..... And don't worry about delaying your vids. Schumi's take is worth the wait!!! (I'm typing this slogan for the third time tonight!!! 😉😉)
28:28 How should someone in the 300-400 adv segment, with next upgrade ideally in 700-800 segment think about the fact that both Transalp and V strom DE are launched with tube type tyres? We cannot consider the tuareg 660, or the Ducati desert X, because of the price quotient. It would be good to know if reviews for any of these bikes are planned.
Currently we don't plan to cover any of these bikes @aakrdwivedi6452 but that's a valid question. Hopefully one that will be taken more seriously by manufacturers.
Had the opportunity to ride the “Chillpilen 250” and I agree with Shumi’s views on this bike. There’s a sense of real calmness in this bike, something that I’m not used to coming from a Dominar 400 which is quite calm to begin with 😅 but I’ve always considered Husqvarnas to be a lifestyle choice rather than a performance choice like the KTMs.
Absolutely loved the review. Was waiting for this past six months... Finally bought the Vit few days before this video... Love riding this bike ... Very important points brought out in this video, specially the comparison with other similar priced bikes.... One thing bothering me is should this get heated up so much that i feel the heat radiation on my thighs and face in just four km of city ride from home to office... ?? Any owner feedback on heating issue..?
Hi Motorinc, hope you both are doing well. I am confused between N160, MT15 and RTR 200 4v. Which one should I buy? Need for local commute and good mileage. Please suggest.
The Vitpilen 250 vs bajaj NS200Z/Hero Mavrick 440 conversation is what i have between the BMW 310GS and the Triumph scrambler 400X for the past 6 months.
i have the old husq svartpilen 250 bought it 2 years ago. i wanted to know whether i can replace the tyre hugger with the new number plate mudguard? the only flaw in the old bike was the rear number plate. the height and position of the plate is so bad that any vehicle's front wheel can damage the plate. in my 2 years, i have the changed the number plate 4 times. suggestion would be helpful. thanks in advance.
Hi folk! Thanks for the video. Throughout your conversations, I’m constantly amazed with the level of insight and motorcycle acumen that you bring forth. Have you ever thought of doing market analysis pieces? Something along the lines of the current market needs, future launches, etc.?
Thank you @Petrol_and_positivity. Thank you for the suggestion too but we'd like to reserve our comments about vehicles that are available to be purchased as we think that's the most beneficial way to share knowledge. 😊
@@motorinc of course! I understand. I’d just love for more ways in which we (the audience) can pick at your brains to better understand and learn about motorcycling knowledge. Be it economic, financial, or practical.
Hey MotorInc, this is a question towards Shumi. I'm upgrading from unicorn which makes arround 12bhp. I like a little bit of off-roading since my unicorn doesn't have abs, it's fun to slide the back wheel haha but i recently rode R15 which helped me appreciate how beautiful the commited nature feels like. Cutting the cake, if i were to buy a 25bhp motorcycle, ironically in the same price bracket we have vehicles with 40bhp. Looking at Duke 250, we have 400Z as well as 400X almost in the same ballpark It's true that 390 duke might be out of my reach as of now but if we were to look at Swartpilen 401 or even Himalayan it's kinda close to the price bracket as well both around 40bhp. It would be helpful if you can point out which of these 40bhps are actually like a 25bhp in terms of headroom and which of these are in the territory which has a headroom of 50bhp+ class. Really appreciate your response, I'm willing to wait for a proper one from you guys. Take your time. I would also love to put forward the idea that classifying motorcycles in terms of headroom in each category would make a good video :')
I love your videos guys. The way you both conversate and explain the behavior of the bikes. I'm looking to buy a mid lever tourer which can do a bit of offroading. Can you guys make a video about the best options available in India. And shortly upcoming ones. I currently ride duke 390 2018 model. Thanks
2:35 Saying Cafe Racer in India is a BS idea is absurd. Continental GT has a pretty large fanbase, Husqvarna just needed to rectify few mistakes and make it a suitable cafe racer like the Continental. Not entirely turn it into a different category. They should've kept the Svartpilen for comfort public and Vitpilen for niche public. That's how companies should work, have separate varities, not turn every bike into the same variety

The skewed pricing of the 400cc segment vs the 250 segment is going to be a major disruptor, if it is not already.
Thanks for joining us @aceleon6237. We think it already is!
@@motorinc For me, with a budget of 2.5l for a touring bike, it certainly has become a bit more difficult.
Oh my gosh! I have waited so long for this video. Thank you guys!
Thank you for waiting @billyfromindia!
I just bought this bike its my first bike and its awesome a chill vibe with powerful engine great electronic comfortable for long rides and a great attention grabber. Just a drawback is the vibrations but can be managed with a good grip puppy (Brand Name)
Thanks for the tip @urvakshmaster! Very unusual name there! 🤣
This one’s more practical for india.
Hey @bondof69! Others have echoed this sentiment too! Fully agree on the previous ones coming as 400s would have changed things
13:07 that sound
😊
For the first time I find Shumi at a loss for words. The exasperation is making me sad.
🤜🏽🤛🏽
What happened to him
35mins for a Motorinc First video just doesn’t cut it. It needs to be at least 40 mins and above. That’s how much I enjoy watching you guys speak about cars and motorcycles 😅
In the future do you guys have any plans of making videos on let’s say Ninja 650 or Trident 660 or even about your personal cars and/or bikes you guys have owned in the past or currently? Really looking forward to your future videos regardless.
Lots of love to both of you guys and the entire Motorinc team. ❤
Thank you for joining us @yudhajit07! And for the suggestions... 😊
Love the opening as always❤
I have been using this bike for the past 6 months. I always love to ride my husky🤍. For me it’s an awesome bike and really underrated.
Glad to hear that @_ROCKY_OP! Thanks for sharing.
Hey man. Can you please tell me about servicing charge?
@@vinayakpujari3613 first service cost was around 1600
Great video ❤ I'm currently saving to get this as my first bike
All the best @mohit_mohite. Take plenty of test rides before making a decision (this is our recommendation for any bike!)
Thank you for sharing @cheekuzee! Glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far. How has the service experience been for you?
@motorinc good... only did first service ... i booked service slot online , no issues...
11:29 that grabrail is a consequence of customer feedback - “my pilion feels like they’ll fall off every time I accelerate 🤦🏻♂️”
Seriously, if you’re riding pilion, don’t be a dead weight. Help the rider out, it’s fun for both people.
Here in Germany, having something to grab for the passenger is mandated by law.
Hence the handle/spoiler thing.
They probably just put it on every bike because it's easier to manufacture, even if it's not required.
The most waited video, finally arrived from #motorinc.
As usual awesome compose video
Thanks for the video
Thanks Satish!
17:23 Only Honda pulls off but no other brand has really cracked that
Honda is honda 🗿
Shumi: I am going pretty quickly on the wet now....
Kartik's head turns with a smirk!
That smirk made me realise the nasty.
😂😂😂
😆
I would rather wait around for your reviews even if it's late cause that means the vehicle will be thoroughly tested on the roads as wells and we will get to see the real world issues or advantages. That makes spending our hard-earned money (which is depreciating fast) worth the spend. Never feel rushed. We appreciate what you do here.
Thank you @asitkhanda! Appreciate it.
I would wait 6 months if I have to, to watch your video with a genuine and full review. There is no hurry when it comes to quality.
Thank you @shauryapathak310!
Thanks for the suggestion @akhiljude8803
Well said 💯
Beautiful discussion as always ❤
Thanks for joining us @dr.ranadhishrajan2797.
Thank you for the suggestion @dangsince94.
Hey Motorinc team, would you guys know if the Vitpilen is getting the same TFT display from the 2025 Duke 250?t
It might not get the Duke's TFT but it should get Svartpilen's TFT. It would be awesome
I love this channel!
Thank you @art_seer.
Thanks guys
Shumi sir !! I'm close to getting my first bike ( with my self earned money, as you insisted).Shall I consider Xtreme 125r ?
Yes! We should have a View story for you soon too!
@@motorinc TYSM !! 🌼🤍
Perfect review.. Same thoughts of people
Thanks for watching @rsivapradeep.
Chill pillion 😁 thank you so much 🐐
🤜🏽🤛🏽
guys, precisely at 8:40, that's Kartikeya expression summing up working with Shumi.
Oh, what a time to give a Galaxy watch with a wide bezel reference! I would call that a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra or something like that.
😅
Eagerly waiting for GUERRILLA 450 review from your guys...their tyres are tempting 😋
Hey! Early August it looks like
The fact that the riding position is not as sporty as before is a bummer. I LOVED the earlier Vitpilen's riding position.....
And don't worry about delaying your vids.
Schumi's take is worth the wait!!!
(I'm typing this slogan for the third time tonight!!! 😉😉)
Gotcha @irb911, we just responded to your other comment.
A superb one, great clarity....
Thank you @ajayadhiya2010
28:28 How should someone in the 300-400 adv segment, with next upgrade ideally in 700-800 segment think about the fact that both Transalp and V strom DE are launched with tube type tyres?
We cannot consider the tuareg 660, or the Ducati desert X, because of the price quotient.
It would be good to know if reviews for any of these bikes are planned.
Currently we don't plan to cover any of these bikes @aakrdwivedi6452 but that's a valid question. Hopefully one that will be taken more seriously by manufacturers.
We are same bro😅. I love how Shumi gives reference points to Karthikeya to explain his experience. 😂
😅
Dark Shumi 😈
Love it! 😀
Thank you for joining us @theredpulsar_
@@motorinc Always
Seeing shumi from powerdrift to here feels wow
🤜🏽🤛🏽
Had the opportunity to ride the “Chillpilen 250” and I agree with Shumi’s views on this bike. There’s a sense of real calmness in this bike, something that I’m not used to coming from a Dominar 400 which is quite calm to begin with 😅 but I’ve always considered Husqvarnas to be a lifestyle choice rather than a performance choice like the KTMs.
Thanks for sharing @navneeth.r7683
I was riding with pillion on 3rd gear at 25km/h to 27km /h. I was damn impressed
Thanks for letting us know your experience @ujju7858. Have you ridden the older Vitpilen by any chance?
That's my first experience with new Vitpilen @@motorinc
I've said that before and I'll say it again- if I was planning to start a RUclips channel, this is the quality I would try to replicate!
Thank you very much @mohammadfahmidhasan.
how good are the suspensions ? are they as good as speed 400 ?
A little confused as to why whenever 250 class and touring comes up Shumi never suggests the Vstorm 250, It's spacious, decent engine, good economy.
The discussion isn't about that @duhanaayush. Besides, the V-Strom isn't a unilateral recommendation! Only specific kind of people will like it.
@@motorinc being in that niche, i guess my views are slightly biased towards ADV bikes. Anyways thanks for clarifying.
when is the guerilla 450 according to your schedule
July end, early august

One thing bothering me is should this get heated up so much that i feel the heat radiation on my thighs and face in just four km of city ride from home to office... ??
Any owner feedback on heating issue..?
Congratulations @125junu!!
Heat: Let's see post first service once the engine settles a bit? But faster bikes will generally be a bit warm for sure
@@motorinc thanks for the reply !!

Fucking FINALLLYYYYY!!! And man it was worth the wait. It's always worth the wait. Thank you!
Thank you for waiting @pranatsinha.
Will upgrading the duke 250 chassis with the 390 suspension workout? What's your thought on it?
Yup. Can be done!
Can I put svart401 headlamp and old vitpilen front fender instead of the new one from after market.
😲 Why @ankitjha4474?
2:36 Me Shumi !!! Me. I am riding the cafe racer 60Kms a day in Chennai traffic everyday.
As long as you're having fun @jaswanths4326!😊
Where does Shumi gets his shirt from? (serious question btw)
We'll have to get back to you on that @sho_k1!😅
@@motorinc looking forward to it
Hi Motorinc, hope you both are doing well. I am confused between N160, MT15 and RTR 200 4v. Which one should I buy?

Thank you so much @YAANTRA1
The Vitpilen 250 vs bajaj NS200Z/Hero Mavrick 440 conversation is what i have between the BMW 310GS and the Triumph scrambler 400X for the past 6 months.
Hey @puneethmys152! Quality and comfort aside, there's no reason to think 310GS at all. _None._
@@motorinc Yes. that's what i have concluded myself recently.
I think it'll be nice to have bike reviews from Karthik time to time. Or both can provide their views
Thank you for the suggestions @gyanprakash6706.
the theme song SHOULDNT BE SUCH A BOP TO LISTEN TO 😭😭😭
i have the old husq svartpilen 250 bought it 2 years ago. i wanted to know whether i can replace the tyre hugger with the new number plate mudguard? the only flaw in the old bike was the rear number plate. the height and position of the plate is so bad that any vehicle's front wheel can damage the plate. in my 2 years, i have the changed the number plate 4 times. suggestion would be helpful. thanks in advance.
@shumi sir , please come back with videos like your PD simplified , they are really helpful want more of them. :)
Thanks for the suggestion @Mohit_Choudhari.
What about parts availability? Is this company user end repairs friendly? Or there are any restrictions ?
KTM Service is pretty decent, @vardaankaushal8560. You should be okay
@@motorinc that's good if they're providing good service but do they sell parts to customers so that repairs can be done private garages ?
All right! Feedback noted!
Nice video. Waiting for your review on the Guerrilla 450
Coming soon!
How would this compare to the gixxer 250’s
The Gixxer 250 feels much more like a commuter than this, Ronald
Hey MotorInc, this is a question towards Shumi. I'm upgrading from unicorn which makes arround 12bhp. I like a little bit of off-roading since my unicorn doesn't have abs, it's fun to slide the back wheel haha but i recently rode R15 which helped me appreciate how beautiful the commited nature feels like.
Cutting the cake, if i were to buy a 25bhp motorcycle, ironically in the same price bracket we have vehicles with 40bhp.
Looking at Duke 250, we have 400Z as well as 400X almost in the same ballpark
It's true that 390 duke might be out of my reach as of now but if we were to look at Swartpilen 401 or even Himalayan it's kinda close to the price bracket as well both around 40bhp.
Please suggest regarding service availability, interval cost , network parts and all
We'll be covering that in the full review @saurabhojha9166.
Shumi's references to the body works 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😊
That smile at 15:23 😂😂😂
