I've run into the same problem with punched out holes in tags, and what i usually do (because i don't have any distress inks sadly) is i take a marker/felt tip pen and rub the sides of the tip on the edge of the paper inside the hole. The sides usually give less ink than the very tip, so you don't soak your paper through and get a subtler look. And you can get pretty much any colour you want if you have a pen like this. Just thought someone might find it useful.

The little journal is all those things your viewers have said: precious, sweet, cute, grungy, etc!! It's interesting that even though it's a smaller journal, there are a lot of places to write! The clear butterfly wings are awesome and the cute ways you used them really stand out. I also absolutely LOVE the tiny little clips, so perfect, since everything is so compact. Thanks as always for sharing your art. I am absolutely going to try to make one of these tab journals. :)

What a cute little book. Not too big to be overwhelming to do and not too much writing space to stare at. Thanks for showing how everything is made. I haven't ever made a tab binding but I love to incorporate fabric so that's perfect.

This little book is so cute. Love it. I am always fearful that the glue will not work. You use glue sparingly and it seems to work just fine. I usually create a mess of glue because I use too much.
Barbara: 5 thumbs up. I wish I was going to be home for the next couple of weeks because this is so fun. You actually gave me an idea,too. I have some card in my stash that I do not like. Why not bubble it!!! Why did I not think of that before. I can use whatever colors,oxides and let the ugly background only peek as much as I want! Yay! You are a magician, too!!

I love the tab binding. I’ve made a couple of them using Tim Holtz fabric tape and also with fabric medical tape for a more neutral effect.

I love my DCC membership! So worth the money! It's like a travel hairdryer🙊 wonder if a hairdryer is gentle enough 🤔 hmm. Lol I've dyed with gravy browning when I had no instant coffee🙊. Am I right that it's like the Jacob's ladder pattern? My brain thinks it is but that's no guarantee lol. I like that it opens out flat. She's awesome! So cute 😍.
