Hull burned him early (cant really blame Eagle on that one) and the Bassen goal was stoppable...after that Belfour was brilliant in shutting the door. Fun, nasty game. Both teams were out for blood and there was chippy stuff going on after every whistle. Pre Devils Stevens (at least before Lemaire/Lamoriello calmed him down) could be an unpredictable powderkeg of a player. Jablonski had some terrific saves as well. One of those games where no fan leaves feeling cheated...it had it all.
12:23 "Boy the North Stars have sure turned their fortunes around" - prophetic words!

Jabonski played a great game other than one soft goal. Should have been 2-2.

One interesting point about this game was that when the score was 2-2, it was actually Dan Quinn who made the pass to Steve Larmer from the boards on the winning goal, hooking the puck away from Creighton and pulling it through his (Creighton's) skates right to an open Larmer.

Thankfully, we only had to wait one day to see Manson kick Stevens ass.
