New York State really has it all. Atlantic Ocean. Two Great Lakes. Border with two Canadian Provinces, and mountains, lakes, farms, quaint towns in between.
1:10 started at 8am this morning on THE LOOP. Finally. Don’t know if we’ll catch up but we’re on the way. On NEBO and Facebook Beach House Tales. Stay warm Thanks D.
Thank you, as an old man now, I spence my summers with my grandparents at their camp between Clayton & Cape Vicient. I remember Clayton of the 1960's and 70's, what a change. I glad for the people of Clayton, but it looks like as priced out the people I remember having a modist cottage on the river for the summer.
You missed the Boat Museum! It’s the world’s largest fresh water boat museum. A campus of buildings for canoes, skiffs, sailboats, runabouts, cabin cruisers and race boats
Enjoyed this video! Tim loves jumping in freezing cold water and swimming around. I definitely do not haha. I would do the same jump in and get out right away. Clayton looks like a cute spot! Ollie looked so happy at the end with the sunset ☀️🥹The chick pea salad looks yum! All got multiple days of leftover -Helen
Hey that’s our Wicked Good in the background coming into Clayton. Met you briefly with the lost duckling and didn’t know you were vlogging. Subscribed when we found your channel as we are planning another trip but up the coast to Georgian Bay and Mackinac Island. The water was cold and clear and we planned on three days in the Admiralty Islands but spent two weeks. Yes it’s that kind of place. We went down the St Lawrence and completed the Triangle Loop before returning to Florida. Will be watching your videos from here to ? Thanks for sharing.
Great videos!! Really glad that you enjoyed the Clayton area. We have a boat in Clayton very close to the museum. We love the area. Love the River. Keep the great videos coming.
Our stomping ground, we bounce between Clayton, Cape Vincent and Alexandria bay all summer and once again, we missed you by a day. The ROAM app makes it easy for us Canadians to check in without hassle. BTW, we call them Muskoka chairs, kind of a friendly arguement.
Being a wooden boat owner you arein one of the fine spots to see some great work. Smart sitting out the next blow because the great lakes can be deadly. Enjoy the clear water while your up there. A season change is coming.
We cruise the North Channel and Georgian Bay - we always have our wetsuits with us to enjoy a swim even when the water is cold. 62Deg is comfortable in a wetsuit.
Love the shots of Ollie..such an expressive face! and the commentary regarding the ducks. Hope you are well & I am always looking forward to the next video. Fair winds.
Beautiful area! This is were i spend my summer weekends boating, south of Clayton in Henderson Harbor...but my boat is a little 😁 faster... smaller to....take care great videos
Elliot, Jen. and Ollie, I have beeen following you for about a year. I am an avid boater and have really enjoyed watching you carve out a liveaboard lifstyle. I am also mostly a plant based whole foods vegetarian and have enjoyed watching what you are preparing and eating, but why don't you consider doing a weeking cooking video on what you make and how to prepare foods and overcome the challenge cooking while cruising and when your through with the great loop you could publish and e-cookbook on cooking and living a vegetarian lifestyle of a livaboard boat.
I live here. Have my whole life. On that downtown strip. ❤ the Harbor hotel. The most commercial place in town. Lol. My husband built almost the entire shoreline that runs along clayton. Super neat to see on RUclips. It's definitely a one of a kind town. You have to come late aug and visit potters Beach in a hot not windy day. You'll meet everyone who matters on the river.
Elliott, I didn't get that you were a competitive swimmer before, but that dive into the water only comes from years of racing starts off the blocks. Decent stroke too, but I'm with you Jen; the water is too cold to enjoy a swim The marina, town and museum all look great - I'd love to visit Clayton someday. For now, I'll enjoy the visit through your videos..
Im enjoying following your journey. As a NY'er all my life. All non NY'er's think of is going to NYC. Wrong !! That place is a Dump !! You guys are seeing the real NY. 👍
How many months are your videos behind time the temperature today where you are should be a high of 42 with snow flurries you would not be wearing shorts and short sleeves or swimming
An interesting concept of North American history. First the Algonquin, then the French, then the Americans came. I wonder where the "Americans" came from? 😂😂😂

Hi Michael! Thanks so much! We'll have to produce a video about our cooking style, there are definitely some challenges but we love it!
Another great video - I'm really looking forward to seeing how you captured the Trent Severn Waterway!
Thanks y’all!

Bro that's crazy. Are you Derek Schafer sister? I used to live in Clayton.
Fun stuff... 14:27 great shot.
Thanks! Ollie was posing for the camera (or maybe just thinking about the ducks) haha

Haha it was probably too cold and yes good eyes haha, I competitively swam most of my younger years. Cheers!
I have been to Thousand Island but not to Clayton NY where my Mother was born. Now she lives in Syracuse and I live in CA.
Why aren't you using Nebo any more? If you stop in Carrabelle give me a holler.
As a native of Northern NY, the Thousand Islands is a paridise .
Absolutely agree!
Great video, love that area.
Same here
👍 Thank you.

Now pizza …beers and ice cream must really challenge the digestive system….great beginning…this is a terrible idea! Ha ha ha
haha thanks Luke
xd
yea Jen!
Question: where can you dock a boat in Atlanta?
The closest large lake to Atlanta is Lake Lanier!
Do y'all post on other social media , other than Facebook and RUclips?
We post on Instagram, mostly stories and we have an email list that goes out every week!
What are spring lines?
Spring lines are your longer lines used to "spring the boat". We typically use them as our midship lines.
Was Elliott wearing a banana hammock
lol just a speedo 😂
@@SchoandJo I was wondering why you two didn't jump in together, are sure you weren't sharing the same swim suit ? LoL stay safe, Tim and Cat
lol!

Everywhere!
Stop saying “on the lake”. You’re “on the river”.
