Is the Geely Azkarra worth your money or not?

- The Geely Azkarra was introduced to the Nigerian automobile market in 2022 and just as in the whole world, the feedback has been similar.
It comes powered by a 1.5l turbocharged engine that was co-developed by Volvo and is paired with a 45v battery pack. This mild hybrid system returns optimal fuel economy while delivering enough power for daily commute.
The cabin was designed to make one feel at home and offered as standard are lots of safety and technology features to make your driving experience seamless.
Having provided these, it is also important to note that the Geely Azkarra is built by Geely who owns Volvo (the safest car brand in the world) and owns the highest shares in Daimler AG. Shouldn’t these eliminate the stigma of being regarded as an averagely built Chinese crossover?

Chinese cars with the small engines assisted with turbo. I see shared technology there with the Volvo B3 system which a good development..as for the price, maybe about 18m.
Is it possible you make a post on affordable brand new cars and also trucks in Nigeria. Maybe between the 5 to 25m bracket.

Ridee with me, Geely Azkarra is a Cross over with low Horsepower For a Crossover,plus it's interior is made up of plastic, no infotainment system at the back which isn't a good selling point.I recommend they work on Wireless charger and other issues like the hybrid system.Thanks
Uhm I was confused when you mentioned infotainment system at the back why?? You mean seat screen that’s attached to the headrest ?
Well it's fairly ok to drive though you don't actually feel like the power ratio is so much of an issue wen you floor it, I can check my walk around on my channel to see it for yourself it's smooth and the system "if serviced well" would serve and save you an illusive amount of money on gas. Yes no infotainment behind because for the range it's not really meant to have and that's forgivable trust me In some pricy SUV's you don't still get a screen behind. It's still a mid sized SUV.

It's built to be a daily driver that's easy on power delivery and economy while delivering a smooth ride. It's an affordable crossover built to suit a market that wants brand new cars in the very affordable segment. In order to do this, the company has to compromise on a few things. Additional quality and features would only increase the cost of production and in turn, the cost of purchase.

The mild hybrid is always active... what is not active is the "automatic ev mode" which only works if you are in confort or eco and with the air conditioner off.. which is only used to maintain momentum as soon as you touch the pedal it doe sturn on the ICE engine... or when you do a full stop which also turns off the engine, but the electric motor is always on that is why is so neepy all the time specially in sport mode.... BTW I have an Azkarra for over 10 month now... so I know all its quirks and features by now

This has a very attractive exterior and interior. I dont think anyone in their right minds will take this baby off-roading due to its delicate finish.
Additionally, the use of a turbocharger will cause wear and tear on the engine very fast, potentially shortening its lifespan.
Furthermore, the hybrid system, which comes from a Chinese manufacturer, is known for its complexity and difficulty in maintenance. The limited lifespan of the batteries, which typically lasts only 10 years, also raises concerns about the long-term cost of ownership.
It may be best to consider the potential financial burden before committing to such a technologically advanced vehicle. Even Benz and Volvo are not all that reliable cars generally, their technology is always their weak point.
