Your reviews on the Azkarra are one of the main reasons why I got one, and glad I did before the latest price increase. No regrets!! thanks again Kyle!👌
With the massive price hike of Geely, idk if they still have the advantage they had a couple of years ago. And their lineup doesn't have ADAS, they aren't the safest/techy anymore.
@@KyleLiongCars agree. But on the safety and tech part, they should really start giving their clients the adas feature. Like in the coolray SE, you can see the abang for radar. I think it would be great also if they can offer an upgrade once the adas system become available to geely cars.
Kyle, please review another compact crossover but priced like a subcompact (GAC GS4, P1.098 M). A lot more affordable than the HS and Azkarra, admittedly w less features, but a lot of positive reviews in terms of build quality and driving dynamics. Thanks!
ATM, it's 1.8M but can get it for 1.5M with the 300k discount. Hesitant to purchase now baka may lumabas na upgrade or a facelift version anytime soon. Sayang eh.
Id go with the azkarra, it has the best handling and transmission performance. MG has a jerky transmission. Driving an azkarra is like driving a japanese car. It does not feel chinese.
Geely Azkarra is a much better choice if you don't consider the price (but damnnn, 1.8m?). But they do need to update their exterior because it already looks like a 5-year-old car from Geely.

hands down geely azkarra wins, MG HST feels like a toy and performs like one too. aside from the emgrand all other geely offering are the best bang for the buck in its segment. the quality, the feel, man you cant go wrong with azkarra. points: Azkarra has a thicker sunroof, the MG sunroofs are mesh which is meh, Physical button control for AC and etc, you'll regret buying a car without one when youre stuck fumbling for it in MG's clunky software Android Based HU, most cars claim they're better bcoz they have "android auto" and "carplay" but they're wired, so in the same sense geely have wired mirroring which achieves the same thing and does the same thing (big plus is the ability to jailbreak it, which unlocks a ton of features, i will pick android based HU that doesnt have AA/Carplay all day) NVH, geely is probably one of the best cars brand that uses inline 3 englines, its really smooth and zero vibrations on idle Interior quality is top notch, quite similar to mazda's
Gotta agree with most of your points. I do love the Emgrand though. More so than the Oka and Coolray in the Geely lineup. Also, I wished the Azkarra had ACP and AA.
I agree a builtin ACP and AA is nice, but it needs to go with a great HU, for example the ford territory, it has an AA and ACP, but its wired.. and if you browse through their FB groups.. they dont like the fact that its only wired, and what can they do about it? Nothing.. because their HU isnt android and it sucks.. the only option for them is to replace the HU, which costs a lot, needs hardware modification, trimming the interior and doesnt look and feels nice because its a replacement and not stock While looking at the geely, most people are just buying wireless car kit dongle.. which upgrades ACP and AA to wireless, plug and play with minimal software modification. The man advantage of an android based HU is when unlocked or jailbroken its just like an android phone, you can install waze, spotify or whatever app you want thats available on android.. which opens up a world of possibilities,
Not when you're in the shit-road Philippines! The market speaks for itself that's why Lotus, Aston, Lambo, Polestar, Ferraris etc are building SUVs. Idk what posh "auto community" you hailed from but certainly not on this planet lol.
@@ecproth9296 What does SUVs offer better than sedans or mpvs when it comes to our supposed "shit roads"? All cars have suspension adequate enough to work on our mediocre roads
@@SadBheeseChurger If you happen to cross on "rural" type of roads then you will definitely wish for SUVs. Lots of unmaintained roads having deep potholes caused by shrinking of the soil beneath it, uneven asphalt caused by water always sitting on top of the road for a long time, floods caused by unmaintained drainage systems, slippery roads because of muds(also caused by poor drainage systems), cracked roads, incredibly steep roads(just like here in my place since we are just beside a mountain), unpaved roads with only gravel and some stones. Theres a reason why SUVs are so popular here in PH. Sedans would definitely bottom out on these "potholes" and unpaved roads unless if you drive like 15-20kph. Agree with your choice.
I am anticipating a face lift for the Azkara that may make it a compelling choice.
