The MG HS is the Sino-British automaker's second entry into the compact SUV segment, with the other being the RX5. With its excellent pricing and great style, is the MG HS a better vehicle compared to the Ford Territory?

A very straightforward presentation. This review somehow cements my decision to get the MG HS, which I believe suits me better, being a more "seasoned" driver. I'm done with fast driving and flashy looks. I lean more toward relaxed and comfortable rides; The HS is elegantly styled, which I find very attractive. Thank you for your excellent review!
I’ve driven this and honestly, same sentiments. It’s perfect for people who doesn’t want to blend in a sea of ford territory (which I’m also not a fond of the way it looks, awkward proportion) and who’s not really an “overtaker” kind of driver. a black hs looks like a cayenne if you squint hard enough while the RX5 looks like a BMW X5 so props to MG’s design. The driving dynamics is not for me though, I prefer a sportier ride, but I believe the passengers would enjoy the HS.
Great review. Now, I'm in a dilemma either MG HS Trophy or MG ZS Trophy should I buy for my parents as family car. If I ask you, what would you prefer between the two MG?
Love the review. I do agree how this is a better overall package than the Territory(sorry, never was a fan too) but I also do agree with the cons that this vehicle has. I also do agree with other comments saying the GS4 seems to be a better pick, despite only having one basic variant that isn't as well-equipped as this.

You mean the GAC GS4? Halos same ng features and power yung HS at GS4, mas mura pa ng 300k ung GS4.
@@erickgutierrez5700 👍 The GS4 is indeed more practical (P1. 098M). Smoother transmission also, I think. The only disadvantage of GAC is the limited number of dealerships.

I think the GAC GS4 is a better option in terms of driving dynamics, and a lot more affordable.
Been reading a lot of positive reviews about GAC, but unfortunately their dealership presence is still very small.

Definitely. Hoping they'll further expand their dealer network and damn follow the marketing strategies of Geely and MG. GAC is one underrated brand overall tbh.

The smaller MG ZST and the TOTL MG 5 have 360 cameras, but the HS only has a reverse camera :(
I think I saw a front facing camera just below the MG logo
No 360 degree camera for HS. What you're seeing is just a provision for a 360 camera up front if it's equipped with such :(

It’s a bummer that there is no 360 cam for this model that the lower priced ZST has. If nabawi lang sana ng driving dynamics pwede na pagbigyan. Nor even adaptive cruise well atleast sana meron. MG must really step up rin sa transmission segment.

Is the HS competing with her sister the RX5?
Supposedly not. We also asked this during their press conference at the HS's launch, but what they intend with the HS is to be the more premium option compared to the RX5
