Anne's powers seem to be triggered by, not _just_ anger, but most likely her desire to protect her family/families and friends 🥺🤗.
I think our powers are actually evil in a way if you want Rebecca Rose videos she deciphered the book that Andrea showed them and it mentions how the three girls could either help amphibia or destroy it maybe that's Andreas plan or he's trying to kill the girls to prevent amphidia downfall

I got to give Anne props for having so much hope in Marcy and that she’s alive despite what she did. Anyone else would assume she’s dead but Anne has the determination for Marcy no matter how bad her situation is.

Ok some people are saying she’s grieving from what happened to Marcy because of her denial. I was thinking about this a little more and it’s likely the case. We’re only on the first episode and there’s plenty of episodes where this will be addressed again when Marcy’s parents had noticed her disappearance. Judging by the article of Matt’s interview they’ll have to make an appearance. The trauma will return when Anne will surely have to catch them up in what happened while they were missing. But at the same time I think Anne tries to stay positive rather than looking at the bad side of things too.
The fact that Anne’s mom is voiced by Matt’s mom makes it even better

Five months seems about right - the first season said it would be about three months until snow cleared from the passes. Then a couple of weeks to and back from Newtopia, a couple of weeks there, and another two with the Temples.

A little thing I picked up on when I first watched this episode, was in the last scene when Anne’s father said that he is starving in Thai and the planters said “noodles” because they knew exactly what he said even though Thai isn’t their second language. I wonder if they knew what he said because in Wartwood they heard Anne say a couple of words in Thai and one of the words she said was “starving”. So they picked up on a few Thai words from Anne.🤔

Anne is the only one of the girls that keeped her clothes from the human world and didn't just switch to an armor like sasha and marcy
She was the one the most missed her life in there and still wanted to keep some "connection" with her home
10:09 Um, no. I gotta disagree, King Andrias is basically the Belos of the show.
The difference being that he has a clear and straightforward goal, conquest.
While with Belos, we don’t really know what he’s trying to accomplish.
I would argue that the Kiki of this show for right now is the stealth frog sent to Earth, only it isn't nearly as hatable as Kiki.
I would agree that Andrias is more akin to Belos than Kiki. There is a basic rule of fiction that I sometimes call the "Law of Instant Karma" (shout out to John Lennon!) The way it goes is that the villain should eventually always get what is coming to them and it should be in direct proportion to the wrongs they have done to others. So if both Amphibia and The Owl House honor that rule, both Andrias and Belos, who both thrive on fear and dominance, will meet their fates in the ways that would frighten them the most and leave them feeling utterly helpless (something neither of them could tolerate, I think). The question for me, though, will Andrias pay for what we think the Night will do to Marcy or will the Night be developed sufficiently as a character to have to suffer appropriate karma of its own? Hard to say, since one might respond that Darkness (Night) is merely the absence of Light and that Night must always meet its end come the Dawn.
No matter, I look forward to seeing how all this plays out (in both shows).

I love how when she was talking about the durian she mentioned cooking shows, I believe on binging with Babbish Andrew Ray (the cook of the show) stated that it has an awful smell but it tastes like fireworks and not like the Fourth of July but like when you sell fireworks, so I just love that bit
The house number of 301 could also symbolize the girls' states through the three seasons: 3 went into Amphibia but only 1 came out.

Finally your reaction is out. I checked several times a day because I had a hard time to wait.
Great episode. The Boonchuy reunion felt a bit rushed though. You would think that the five months separation would bring a little bit more drama. Anne should have gotten a ton of messages as soon as she got the 5G, making her more anxious to meet her parents. Now we need to discuss about Sasha and Marcy, because they are still missing. Their parents must be in pain, and the police should have tons of questions for Anne. But I get it, it's a children show, it's supposed to be light. Also this is the last season, so we gotta move fast into the plot.
I believe Marcy won't make it out of this season alive honestly. I have a feeling she'll sacrifice herself to kill the night as well. Also, Anne's stone when she charged it at the second temple, wasn't charged all of the way, so that might make it cause problems with her powers, since it was flickering at the end of that episode. And remember in The sleepover to end all sleepovers, the basement, which had the Night in it, was connected TO MARCY'S ROOM!!!

Super Saiyan style forms being triggered by intense emotion (and trauma) is its own trope at this point (see: Traumatic Superpower Awakening), so following those conventions I assume they'll be building up to Anne being able to harness her powers at will. (Presumably getting better control over them will also reduce the toll they take on her body.)

Timeline-wise, after arriving in Amphibia, Anne spent an unspecified amount of time (between a few days to a week) living in a cave before finding Wartwood, then it was stated to be three months from her arrival in Wartwood to the showdown at Toad Tower (including an implied timeskip between episodes 10 and 11 (a broken bone takes about 8 weeks to heal on average)), a couple weeks travel to Newtopia, about three days hanging out in Newtopia, a couple weeks travel back to Wartwood, and then about a week each to find each of the Temples. Assuming 30 days in a month, that comes out to 149 days, or almost exactly 5 months.
The end credits did show on TV, maybe you didn't stick around long enough to see it

I really love the character designs in this show. You can tell just from Anne's new outfit that she is thinking of Sasha and Marcy, represented by the pink sleeves and flame icon on her shirt. But, you can also tell she is more herself because of the blue jeans she wears now, especially compared to her original outfit that had no blue on it.

What if the power ends up eating her heart. Without the other two to balance the amount of siphoning of the blue power it must draw from the source, being Anne’s heart. Eventually it gets to the point where she won’t hesitate to take a life, maybe Andrias’s life, and become part of stone. That’s why we see the blue figure giving off some kind of explosion in the mosaics that we see. Which is why all the stones need to be charged, besides being a portal, Anne can’t get stabilized.

A long time ago i saw someone pointing out how in both season finale one of the three almost die ( Sasha almost falling off from toad tower and marcy getting stabbed in the back ) so now im in total f e a r for anne's well being.

Okay she did see the Sasha and Marcy takeovers. Probably knew how all of us felt at the end if the Marcy theme. Especially with Andrias in the background.
Sprig, don't put random things in the microwave! If Andrias is the Kiki of Amphibia, I still don't know if he's supposedly worse than Belos. And when it pans to Marcy, her freak out had me laughing so hard, I couldn't even pause it so I just went back to when Andrias wanted the book and those chips. But yeah, Marcy should be okay with Yunan and Olivia. Anne's calamity powers seem to be draining her so I don't know the ramifications if any other than complete exhaustion. And the Plantars laughing reminded me of Anne Theft Auto. I even said 'I don't feel safe.' LOL

This episode was a fantastic start for the season, with Anne's character development, the humor funny as ever(quarantine song lol), and setting up the threat of Andrias and what will happen to Marcy. So looking forward to future episodes!!
Finding out Ann's mom is a metalhead was my favorite part of this episode.
