Ok, I already said this in the community tab, but I decided to make a video about it. Recently I have seen many content producers making recent videos in 2024, speaking badly about OMORI and not highlighting its positive points. I know that OMORI has its negative sides, there are a lot of problematic things, for example, there are people who are obsessed with Basil and you can't make a joke about elevators or watermelon referring to Headspace's Basil because those fans get angry, but they are the same ones who make fun of Mari on the stairs. But let's be honest... Which community is perfect?

Honestly, I love the Omori community, and I love being part of it. They are so funny and kind ❤

Just because the community of a game about depression make memes and have fun they say we are a bad community, and that is not an excuse.

exactly the only really big problem is that most of the fanartists draw R34 of the characters and/or proshippers ☹️

The game sends a great message, and the community is talented. We have to appreciate the good side of the community and acknowledge the bad. Only then we can advance as a community!
Exactly, we cannot ignore that there are several bad things, but it is important to focus on appreciating the good side and talking about the positive points too.
I like how fans make memes to overcome the sadness the game gave them
And even if these people make memes, it doesn't mean they don't take the message and the game seriously.
@@kyonzinhoExactly
honestly? I think Omori community is one of tamest and least controversial, in my opinion
Omori is honestly a one of a kind gem, not many people have people a game as serious as it. it's usually silly stuff like deltarune or undertale but since Omori is a serious game, the way the community behaves is different. I mean, best example I can give is you saying that you don't like people making jokes about Mari falling down the stairs but you also seemed to be bothered by the fact that people didn't like jokes being made about Basil dying (let's set aside the fact that's because you really just dislike Basil). It means people have a lot of differing opinions on this game and what they want to be taken seriously and what they don't, some people won't like jokes being made about aubrey's home life, some won't like jokes being made about basil's trauma, some won't like jokes being made about mari. and I think that's fine, so long as nobody steps on anyone else's shoes.
when it comes to the memes? I honestly don't see why people nowadays seem to be bothered by them. humor is subjective and I tend to find a lot of Omori memes really really funny, while still appreciating and respecting the game for what it is
as for the nsfw art and stuff. like, i know it sucks to say but rule 34 is real, if something becomes popular, nsfw art will be drawn. what I don't think is cool is harassment some nsfw artists receive just because they draw that art. death threats are never okay, simple as is
and when it comes to the shipping? it's part of every community, A lot of people like shipping, but it always sucks that people point out the worst of shippers. like, me personally, I like sunflower. I think the ship is very interesting considering the complex relationship between sunny and basil, but it doesn't mean I go through everything and say it's sunflower, i still the game for what it is, y'know?
I've been a part of the omori community for years now, and i'll be honest in saying I've very rarely seen anything bad happen. most drama i hear about is from youtubers in the omori community, not by being in it myself, so it really does feel like bad parts are just being highlighted.
jesus, I wasted like 10 minutes writing this. point is, respect each other, and enjoy the community!
The point of stairs jokes is that Mari really died in RW, the Basil who dies is from HEADSPACE, no one makes fun of Basil's bad ending in the RW and I'm glad they don't, because it would also make me very uncomfortable to be honest, I don't like that ending and I feel very sad. About the memes, it's like some people want to delete memes instead of creating new ones or something, I understand and respect people not liking them, but you can't make everyone hate memes just because you don't like them. You're right about these arts, any game, any famous work has arts like that, there's nothing you can do, it's not exclusively the game's fault. If you like Sunflower, I believe you would really like the SENESCE mod, I believe they can be together as long as they overcome their traumas. Thanks for sharing your opinion and spending 10 minutes writing this, haha, I read everything as usual.
@@kyonzinho i dunno, I don't think that point really stands. just because it happened in HEADSPACE doesn't mean it can be a joke. my best example is the punishment room where you kill mewo, sure, it takes place in HEADSPACE, but if somebody joked about it, i would be thoroughly upset about it, and i'm sure a bunch of other people wouldn't find it funny. i'm pretty sure that's how some people feel about the Basil HEADSPACE deaths as well, y'know? I mean, I remember being thoroughly upset at the Basil elevator death, cuz of what he says after he dies, just made me feel awful (though i'm still an enjoyer of the Basil watermelon meme)
I personally really like the Basil bad ending though, as much as it makes me uncomfortable, it's insanely well made, because like, it's your fault that you left him, so you kinda have to suffer because of it
and yeah, i've been watching your videos to stay updated on the SENESCE mod! it looks really promising. as for Sunny and Basil overcoming their traumas, that's way easier said than done, haha
Least controversial? Anytime it's trending its about omocat
@@Remisaku twitter doesn't count, that place is always a battlefield
The worst thing is,some people don’t look at both sides of the argument but instead they legit just attack without knowing the other side of the argument. Kyonzinho, I agree with you that OMORI is one of the best fandoms to come across because from my experience of the community people have been really nice and it’s hard to find problematic things legit on the surface and I’d have to find what’s wrong to educate myself by legit investigating. Hopefully this passes
I've been in the community for a long time and I know the bad things very well, but honestly? Most if not all of these things are part of other communities as well. I'm not saying it's not problematic, but it's not unique to the OMORI community. In general, everyone is nice, kind and funny.
All fandoms have their bad sides. All fandoms have drama. It's inevitable. But like you stated, Omori is probably one of the best communities I've been in. It's a really artisitic and hilarious fanbase. Yes there's is drama and creepy people in this fandom, but all fandoms have that.
From my few years in it, I'd say most of the people in the Omori fandom are:
A) making amazing art of the game
B) developing stories/theories of the game/making mods
C) making the same jokes about the game over and over again (Kel has burgers on his mind, Omori spinning plush, ayo the pizza here, clothes- your eyes, etc.)
From my experience, I'd say most people in this fandom are pretty nice and cool people.
Definitely the best meme community I've ever seen. So goddamn funny. There's an overwhelming amount of humor and talent in the fandom.
Plus I just joined so all the jokes that were funny 2 years ago are all hilarious to me lmao
@@catsinwonderland7473 I've been here for a few years, and I still laugh at the jokes I've seen 50,000 times. Glad you're enjoying your stay so far!

Most communities have this situation and Omori is no exception. It has a good side and an bad side. No community is truely bad unless it’s purpose is for bad or consists of rude people only (very rarely, doesn’t apply to omori). Considering omori is an single player game, it also doesn’t have the dramas that multiplayer games have. If any gaming community is bad, it has to be on an online server. I have not once seen a ‘bad’ community in any single player game whatsoever. If anything, the omori community are probably one of the better communities.
I think is one of the bests too.
There's this person I came across who was obsessed with Aubrey.
I swear, person thought she was Omocat, thinking they knew EVERYTHING about Aubrey, and wouldn't accept anything you said that they disagreed with.
Fight me guys, that nail bat is NOT for show
Also she hated SunBurn, like Hate hated it
But there are people who are really obsessed with Aubrey too, it's just that there are more people who are obsessed with Basil, I think.
@@kyonzinho I'm aware, Just people who don't really fully understand between Reality and Fiction, and also Comedy
Edit: And I mean, I kinda do get it, for how people just treat Basil in the community ;-; but it is what it is, there are some things I strongly disagree with
The duality of omori community
I like the duality of omori community
The OMORI community has good sides and bad sides, like every community I know about.
People usually tend to highlight the bad side and that's certainly not a good thing.
Just think about all the fanarts, fangames and animations that are still being created. The OMORI community is probably the only community that loves his game so much.
I think that people dislike the OMORI community also because of the OMOCAT drama, but I don't think this is a good reason to hate the game nor the community. I don't now if some of the accusations to OMOCAT are true or not, but you shouldn't just hate everything about something created by someone of "weird".
For example, I still like Mandela Catalogue related things, even if the creator is almost certainly a pervert.
The point is that OMOCAT has apologized so many times, all this has been going on for so long, but there is always someone who seems like their only intention is to perpetuate the chaos to keep reliving it and trying to create a negative and bad image of the game.
I was legit having intrusive thoughts and this saved me
Thanks alot
Are you okay? I hope you are better now
@@kyonzinho i am! actually (i had intrusive thoughts about quitting the fandom and leaving omawari behind, these thoughts are really tame compared to the ones i normally have)
This made me feel better after seeing content highlighting the community's bad corners.
I'm glad to hear this.
Bro I agree with everything you said
The OMORI community is very talented
Also, I may love Basil, but I can't stop anyone from joking and having fun

I wonder what provoked this video
Several videos that I have seen in my recommendations, as I said.
The Omori community has saved my life I wouldn’t alive if it wasn’t for them. I’ve met hundreds of amazing people and I love them so much. Of course there has been some bad apples but that goes for everything :>
Hearing this makes me very happy! ^^
Everytime i post an omori video it always gets more likes compared to other vids even if it has less views, i love this community
Well, I think this happens because of your channel's audience. If I post a video that isn't from OMORI, my engagement ends up not being very good and that's okay.
Omocat made such a wonderful game with a lot of positive messages, story and characters, however the impact this game has is out of the creator's control of course it's not just about Omori's community ....I know a lot of wholesome games like Undertale that are known for their toxic community ...but I'm with you on that one, Omori has one of the must healthiest communities
Thanks for sharing your opinion

The Joe Rogan community is better but Omori is in in the top 5
idk what is joe rogan but ok thanks for commenting
@@kyonzinho "Hey Omori fan! Imagine Joe Rogan as the real-life embodiment of Omori's introspective side. Just like how Omori navigates through the depths of the White Space, Joe Rogan dives deep into the human psyche and explores various topics through his podcasts, from philosophy to comedy, much like Omori's journey through his surreal world. Both offer profound insights and unexpected adventures, just in different mediums. You might find Rogan's podcast an intriguing exploration akin to Omori's surreal narrative!"
