Cities in India must learn to use the covered space under flyovers as parking spaces or even for street shops. Usually, such spaces are not well utilized.
now only thing required is public discipline and for that we desperately need an education system like Japan who don't give 1st importance to marks but give utmost importance to self discipline.
For decades I have been seeing this ring road around south ex and Lajpath nagar being dug and some or the other civil work in progress. Nice to see something finished and pleasing.
Waiting for the paan waalahs and panipuri waalah to open their stalls on those footpaths, and all of it to be painted in paan, gutkha spit stains 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Waste management needs to be improved in NCR … Being non NCR residents the one thing I really hate about Delhi is trash .. Government needs to plan waste management well ..

Who gives these authorities to use such weird colour combinations ideas. Can’t they keep simple and sober, even divider colour should now be changed and pls don’t colour flyovers with yellow ,red green etc. keep it simple one colour or spit resistant colour
India needs to improve its trash management ,else nothing going to change ...& More importantly civic sense of Indians need to improve drastically....NGO's need to work on those rather than money laundering in the name of human service...
visit SFO, LA or Seattle some day, full of trash and homeless on many streets. Our foreign embassy officials need to do the same thing ? Every city has its challenges , but we need to encourage the good ones and provide feedback for even better.
People should stop pasting notice, stickers and avoid flex boards and unwanted ugly billboards and sign all over the place. If all such things are removed itself, our cities will look more beautiful. Here also, i notice in places, notices and posters have been removed, though partly the remnants are visible !! Spitting on roads and in public places is also another problem. Moreover, the authorities have to maintain the infrastructure, This does not happen in many situations. Most importantly, it is the responsibility of us - citizens and road users to appreciate all this and help keep the roads and surroundings clean.
In the next couple of years, Government (both Central & State) needs to focus on redevelopment of popular Markets in cities to meet modern standards. This should include ensuring all wires go underground, removing encroachments from footpaths, installing benches, dustbins, CCTV Cameras with a Central Control Room, instaling new tiles, revamping public toilets in markets, revamping nearby parks so that people can spend recreational time. Markets should be differently abled friendly. Promote Pedestrianization as much as possible in the market. All these things won't take more than Rs.50-75 Cr. per market but this would be a long term investment and hence would greatly increase revenue of Government & Corporations. So it should be done.
It looks beautiful but drivers never change. They make India look like 3rd world poor country without any order. Two wheelers are coming out of nowhere and going everywhere, Swinging on the roads like it is their playground. Car drivers don’t know how to change lines very very poor driving in our country.

I mean, noone is making videos on filthy state of actual Delhi , and everyone is focussing of cashing eyeballs of evergreen proud Indians who just feel proud for everything even when they see a street of even 100m is getting developed .

High time for Mumbai to set an example. As some of you have already mention in your comments. Both authorities and citizens need to maintain it.
