Well with Zimzalabim its our manifestation song but it sticks in the head for a while, though the outfits are questions about it most think the music video and outfits are chaotic to follow the theme with the song, in my opinion, zimzalabim is purely the RED side with all its craziness. ASuel ( the subunit u just watched), its the subunit no one knew they wanted but we are greatful it happened, Naughty is all about tutting and its so clear and classsy, with MOnster the more u watch it the more inteesting and addictive i gets. You got it right thogh with their soft voices when they switch like that it crates a HUGE imapct and the talent! AND JOY literally a voice made of pure honey and sunshine u can't stop smiling no matter what its socute. Finally, you will prbably see it alot in the comments, Wendy has a Solo song too called Like Water all i can say about it that Wendy's song heals, and Yeri has Dear Diary its a cute coming of age song. I clicked so fast when I saw the Notification I am so glad that you reacted to these but you totally missed Wendy's Solo Like Water and When This Rain Stops (Also she did a Collab with John Legend called Written in the Stars which is BEAUTIFUL) she literally sounds like a mixture between a Siren, an Angel, and a Goddess all in one just WOW! The Naughty choreo is hands down one of the hardest choreos ever in an MV. The amount of technique and precision to perform that level of Tutting and Vogueing is absolutely insane. Considering that neither Seulgi or Irene had experience in tutting ,prior to the training they got ( about 3 months only... Insane ) for the actual mv, is mind blowing, like they nailed some crazy level tutting like they been doing it for 15 years.
in the zimzalabim, only sm is the one who is brave enpugh to make music like zimzalabim where it sounded like it was 10 songs combined in one song. I got a boy by girls's generation is the first one to makethis type of mucic and next is nct 127's cherry bomb. But what makes zimzalabim stand out is because it was so out of the box. These songs are like the bohemian rhapsody of korea because theý are unique. In Naughty, it took 2 months for them to learn the choreography. That style of dance where they move their hands a alot is called tutting. In monster mv, its like seulgi ìs the persin which irene is the monster and is trying to control her. So you notice when they are trying to kiss to tame each other, seulgi is the first one to tame her monster and then irene. In the end , seulgi was contrilled by irene in the ending pose. And for me seulrene or ASeul (Irene and Seulgi) is more like a sister couple , they dont give me feels that make WenRene (Wendy and irene) gives to me. Ill stop here okay, but yeah. Hehe. Just in shipping info hehe. So yeah. Moving on. In Joy's album, all the songs are remake but Joy made them hers. Joy has a unique tone even though she is not the main vical, hse has a fragile voice and she is actually the tone fairy of red velvet.
Oh and also, Yeri has also a solo song which she composed for her 20 year old self which iis called 'Dear Diary' . She has a knack in writting lyrics and they are so damn good. Yeri also wrote the rap in Red Flavor!

fun fact : K-pop fans use zimzalabim meme a lot till this day despite the song being hated so much on the day it was released . It's a normal day for Reveluvs when K-pop fans hate Red Velvet songs during *first listen* because of how unique it is (they're wayyy too experimental and I just love how Red Velvet just do not care at all about the public opinion) . Most of their songs are too ahead of its time, and if you listen to it even after 5 years, you'll start questioning yourself "oh this kind of song exists back in the day?"

trust me, ain't nobody doing it like them in 2017 and 2018. No K-pop songs ever sound like that during that year, and there are still none till this day. That what makes Red Velvet so interesting to discover. Even Zimzalabim is said to be "weird" but now look at K-pop girl group songs, most of them using the same formula like Zimzalabim 😂

All the girls have very diverse tones and vocal ranges and there are a few songs that show off their deeper vocal range like, "close to me" which is a collab with Ellie Golding. Also "Kingdom Come" which is one of their very VERY liked bside. "Perfect 10" is another and "one of these nights" along with many more that I cant think of rn. You should definitely check out their bsides, they are all title track worthy

Zimzalabim isn’t just on one side. It contains both elements, Red is for Girl Crush, Power, Bright and Velvet is mature, dark. Zimzalabim contains both elements.
