Red Velvet are considered one of the vocal queens of kpop. Them and Mamamoo are THE vocal queens of the 3rd gen. Wendy (blonde hair in Psycho) is one of the best vocalists in all of kpop, seriously, she’s so talented. These songs are very good introduction songs to them, some of their best title tracks. I’d definitely recommend listening to more of their music.
There was a special performance called the 00’s performance of Psycho (they were all born in 2000 lol). It has Hyunjin from Stray Kids, Bomin from Golden Child, Daehwi from Ab6ix, and Sanha from Astro in it.
Hyunjin ends up doing that super high note part (Wendy and Seulgi’s part) which is crazy to me, because people have said he can’t sing 💀 anyways I think you would like it, and I’d love to see you react to it!

I disagree that they are all velvet. Peek-a-boo is red with a spooky/supernatural thread, as many of their red songs have. Bouncy music with dark lyrical themes is a RV specialty. Really Bad Bay (RBB) and Russian Roulette are that way as well, as opposed to a red song that is just a bop like Dumb Dumb, Red Flavor, or Umpah Umpah.

It's funny that the comment section are mostly about rv's visual and almost none about the vocals. She was amazed by Wendy vocal in all 3 mvs and i've found no one who write about it.

I've pointed this out numerous times about Wendy and Reveluvs, but it sometimes feels like her own fandom hates her at times and I don't know why when she loves us so much and constantly gives it 10000% on every stage and vocal.
Most of the comments under their videos about their vocals is mostly about her members and requesting they get some of Wendy's lines.
I'll never understand how other fandoms can acknowledge Wendy more than her own fandom.

a little late but theres a live performance for Psycho at ReVe Festival that their vocals are incredible, the girl you kept saying is Wendy (the one with blonde hair in Psycho) she is one of the best vocalists in the whole kpop industry, she has 2 amazing solos called ''When This Rain Stops'' (its live) and ''Like Water'' that i highly recommend, her voice is AMAZING, i hope you react to it one day, loved your reactions :D

Irene by the way in Peek-A-Boo was the one who cut Seulgi who was sitting in the chair she also was the one who answered the door, in Bad Boy she was the one who started the song in the Hot Tub she was one of the ones with the bangs and she was in the middle most of the time, and in Psycho she was the one in the car and who Rapped "I'm Original Visual" which she isn't wrong! Seulgi in Peek-A-Boo was the one who was in the chair who got cut she was also the first one who was on the couch (She usually has bangs), in Bad Boy she was the one who was near a lot of blood and who was shooting the money gun and the real gun in fact, and in Psycho she was the first one who did that "Oooohh" note and who had the kind of short hair with a little bit of green in it! Wendy was the one who you said you loved her voice (She is the Main Vocalist after all) in Peek-A-Boo she was the one with the checkered dress and the Brown hair, in Bad Boy she was the one with the beautiful Green eyes with the purplish hair, and in Psycho she was the one with the White hair (She is usually the one that does the high notes and or the runs or really any notes but sometimes it's the other Members if not Wendy usually Seulgi!) Red Velvet's title tracks either pull fans or throw off people because of it's weird/quirky and experimental approach. When it comes to b sides, Red Velvet slays. They are literally QUEENS. Ok so if you'd like a guide about them to watch (to react to or watch in your own time), I have two recommendations. The first one is shorter but still really good and funny, it's called "(Un)helpful Guide to Red Velvet Early 2021" by Kpopops. This first one is probably better suited for reacting cause it's not very long (~25 minutes). However, if you're feeling adventurous, and would like a more complete guide, I'd recommend "a (hopefully) comprehensive guide to RED VELVET *QUEENDOM ERA*" by seulgistars. This is much longer (around 50 minutes), but is also much more complete, and a bit more recent (by a couple of months). Either way, welcome to Red Velvet :)
You're in for a roller coaster ride 😍 their discography and versatility is no joke! They don't have the same concept twice, every single one is different. Always experimenting, you'll know it once you get to some of their MVs like Zimzalabim 😊

I can listen to all the songs of girl groups & boybands, but only some of them that I can listen until the end. It's not that the others are bad, they're is good too, but I'm very obsessed with the unique composition of notes & balanced harmonization. That's why I'm so "satisfied" every time I listen to Red Velvet. their song is perfect to my ears even on their b-side song.

I think the book cover for Bad Boy (it obviously didn't have the greatest translation) was intended to offer art aesthetics/styles/genre similar to "This is Not a Pipe" and various surrealist art pieces. You can also see connections with the mv concept. There is one part where someone pushes a button on a typewriter and Yeri starts to like melt and pass out. The bed being in the center of these snowy mountains/hills, an open tile bathtub as it snows, a conveniently located room with a bed, the chandelier set, and pretty much anything else. I think the intention was to have an abstract/avant-garde mv set that fused with 3rd generation kpop.

I recently discovered kpop a few months back and Red Velvet are one of the first groups that I really got into. I'm trying to make up for lost time because from what I heard and seen from comment sections of kpop content creators is they are getting closer to disbanding. I can only hope that they're wrong.

Red velvet have two concepts! Red and velvet. Velvet is the sexier, darker concepts (bad boy, automatic, psycho, peek a boo) etc and red is songs with a happier and cheerful vibe (umpah umpah, queendom, red flavor, power up, russian roulette etc)! Some of the cheerful concepts also have a dark meaning (russian roulette (killing each other), umpah umpah (drowning (possibly in love)) they are really versatile!
