Respecting both points of view I do see why it’s difficult for the community (male and female) to hear Dr.Umar view on community. Yet we complain about how black people are dead last… we not a team, we work against eachother and we live in a scarcity mindset even though there is enough abundance for all of us.
Why can’t you just take care of your own kids? Isn’t that the current problem with black community? You have someone else or just a single mother raising the kids?

20 minutes a day to give undivided attention to talk to your children. You are getting when you give!!! The blessing comes in so many ways that we sometimes take for granted! Our men got away with making excuses. Barbershops, Basketball courts, Neighborhoods in the hood are places to start to spread guidance, love and support to our young men by men.
I have only recently started listening to Dr. Umar Johnson. I am a seasoned African woman, mother and grandmother. I am twice divorced and also a veteran. What absolutely astounds me about the mindset of black males of the younger generation is the lack of pride in being a man or even some type of code of honor. But sadly with 1/2 a century of music that has glorified, sex, money, and bravado. That has glorified using women ( black women) in particular to prop up someone’s ego. It just astounds me the level of unashamed refusal to accept any responsibility! Since the beginning of the Bible it has been a woman’s fault. Or was it? Because if you read the scriptures correctly God dealt punishment to Adam as well. Why? Because “HE” was the Head. Why? Do so many black males seem to think they’re entitled to lie down and make babies and not raise them. Now, please do not misunderstand me women must raise there standards. I absolutely believe it takes two to tango. But black men have become way to comfortable blaming their discontent on black women. To the point where when another Brotha says be respectful and mean it that’s a problem! Stand up and help turn things around (OR WE WILL NOT MAKE IT) there is a problem. That is correct. The statistic says over 50% of black men are single and childless - 30% of black men are married - 18% of black men are single WITH children. Respecting both points of view I do see why it’s difficult for the community (male and female) to hear Dr.Umar view on community. Yet we complain about how black people are dead last… we not a team, we work against eachother and we live in a scarcity mindset even though there is enough abundance for all of us.

20 minutes a day to give undivided attention to talk to your children. You are getting when you give!!! The blessing comes in so many ways that we sometimes take for granted! Our men got away with making excuses. Barbershops, Basketball courts, Neighborhoods in the hood are places to start to spread guidance, love and support to our young men by men.

I have only recently started listening to Dr. Umar Johnson. I am a seasoned African woman, mother and grandmother. I am twice divorced and also a veteran. What absolutely astounds me about the mindset of black males of the younger generation is the lack of pride in being a man or even some type of code of honor. But sadly with 1/2 a century of music that has glorified, sex, money, and bravado. That has glorified using women ( black women) in particular to prop up someone’s ego. It just astounds me the level of unashamed refusal to accept any responsibility! Since the beginning of the Bible it has been a woman’s fault. Or was it? Because if you read the scriptures correctly God dealt punishment to Adam as well. Why? Because “HE” was the Head. Why? Do so many black males seem to think they’re entitled to lie down and make babies and not raise them. Now, please do not misunderstand me women must raise there standards. I absolutely believe it takes two to tango. But black men have become way to comfortable blaming their discontent on black women. To the point where when another Brotha says be respectful and mean it that’s a problem! Stand up and help turn things around (OR WE WILL NOT MAKE IT) there is a problem. What the younger folks do not seem to understand as we are in “CRISIS “ The only one that will save our culture is us. What happened to respect? Are we really that far gone as a people?
