Hi Marcos. For credential evaluation you need to check with your evaluation agency of choice what they need from you. But you do not need a course by course evaluation, but a general degree evaluation. They usually know if you ask for an evaluation for USCIS processes.

@@OscarsGreenCard Thank you for the reply. I asked that because a lot of USA universities do not consider transcripts to be official unless they are in a sealed envelope. So I was wondering the same about USCIS. Thanks for the clarification.
Dear Oscar, first of all thank you so much for your clear videos. Please help me on this manner which is stoping me toward my EB2 but I am sure you can help. During last year US is suffering from lack of enough experienced pilot so they opened EB2 for pilots, but our license which can be equal to ph.D is not academic so how can i get equivalency?!!!? Please help me on this matter thanks in advance
Hi there, I am not sure a pilot license is equivalent to a PhD . It is a license. However you can use any other degree you have, get it evaluated and then provide your license as additional evidence for prong 2. It would be especially good if you are licensed in the US. You could consult with a lawyer specialized in pilots to get more insight on it
If you are confident the license is equivalent to PhD you can submit it to a credential evaluation agency to get proof of equivalency to doctorate degree
But as I said earlier, to get the academic requirement fulfilled you can use a bachelor plus five years experience or a masters too

I don't see why USCIS would not accept it after a certain number of months, but you can ask the company you pick if they put an expiration on it. Having an expiration on any document and using it, does not look good@@christianmontenegroaraya1888

Hi Oscar! This is the answer from WES:
"Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) created the five-year expiry policy for a few reasons, including the fact that ECA providers may change their equivalencies and evaluations decisions within five years of the issuing date.
If your ECA report has expired and you would like to renew it, you will need to log into your WES account and order a duplicate report for IRCC. Ordering a duplicate copy will extend the expiry date for an additional five years".

If you want to save some money, pick the most relevant one and use that one. You don't get extra points for showing 2 of them in the advanced degree section

Una consulta: Mi título de Ingeniero de 11 semestres de una universidad argentina, según la evaluación gratuita online de WES, es equivalente a Bachelor + Master's Degree. Esto es un anzuelo para convencerte de hacer la evaluación con ellos, y luego solo te dan bachelor, o realmente dan esa equivalencia ? Has sabido de otros títulos de ingeniero que tengan esa equivalencia de master ? Creo que en España las ingenierías son también bastante largas, mas largas que un bachelor americano que solo son 3 o 4 años.
En España las ingenierías eran de cinco años en el sistema antiguo y se consideran equivalentes a master . Respecto a lo que preguntas de CES, la verdad es que no lo sé! Gracias por tus palabras y suerte!

Hi Rebeca. It depends on your specific situation and profile. You can always try to find experts , the more independent and reputable they are, the better. It's up to you to identify them and approach them
Apart from WES. Is IEE also well acceptable?
It should be acceptable as long as you request a general equivalence report from them. If you see their website they also focus on immigration and they are part of NACES

Hi Oscar, thank you for all the information and clarification. I hold BA + MA + PhD. So, if I understand correctly, only my PhD, as the highest degree, requires an evaluation from an agency, and only the documents related to the PhD should be included in the petition. Is there any potential issue in including the other two diplomas in the petition without evaluating them? Thanks.
You only need to show the highest one for the advanced degree requirement. These are the kinds of things you can learn (and ask about) in my online course

I am a foreigner , when I check WES they asked me to where to send equivalent certificate so they ask for 2 fees like 1 for send to immigration directly by them and one hard copy they gonna send me to my home address which cost alot as dollar exchange rate is very high in our country , do I need this hard copy in my hand to submit with petition or should I just pay to WES to directly send this letter to immigration office in USA ? please suggest me .

Thanks! Expert opinion is always good (a must I would say), but not to talk about your education credentials but about your contributions to show you are well positioned (second prong)

I think WES isn't a good route because I m also a PhD holder + MS + BE in computer science from Pakistan, but when I evaluated few years back, when I had MS n BE degrees, but PhD was about to finish, WES gave me Equivalency of 2 bachelors instead of masters

About the academic certificates different than the highest degree like courses and experience letters, if in a foreign language, those must be translated by a professional translator? or a simple translation by myself would be enough? Hi Jose, thanks for your words and for trusting my website. Anything that you want to include in the petition that is not in English should be translated. However, it doesn't necessarily have to be a professional. In fact, it could be yourself or a relative as long as they are competent in both English and the language to be translated from. You just have to include an Oath from that person declaring the following:
"I, [full name], certify that I am [fluent or conversant] in English and [foreign language], and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the enclosed document titled [name of document].
______________________________

[Date]
[Translator’s Full Name]
[Translator’s Address]"

If you have five years of post graduation experience with your bachelor of engineering I would use that to qualify under the advanced degree rule

I'm still not sure if my case will be evaluated by the USCIS as advanced degree or exceptional ability, because I'm a dentist in Brazil and I did two credential evaluations. one from USCES, which concluded that I have the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene, and from ECE which concluded that the credential is at least a bachelor degree in the US but represents a bachelor field not offered in bachelor degree programa in the US. Should I send both credentials? Ece credential have immigration and educational purpose
Hi Flavia, I would not send two credential evaluations. It could be confusing for USCIS officers. ECE is a NASCES member so I would probably go with them. For more detailed answers I would seek the advice of an immigration lawyer.
My husband also a dentist. We did evaluation in WES , but they didn’t write Bachelor. They wrote- Five years of professional study in dentistry . Will it be enough?

hi! I am not sure about that because it has to give equivalency to an American degree, not to a Canadian one... I am assuming you already have the one for Canada - you can ask the agency that issued it.

@@MuhammadUsman-zm6mt then you better as WES and see what they recommend. Unless your report says which US degree yours is equivalent to, I would no use it.
You only need your diploma, transcripts, and equivalence report. The other items are not needed to prove advanced degree, but you may choose to use them for other purposes in your petition.
