Fantastic video! The marches played were, 1) 5:07-The Guards Chapel 2) 7:33-Birdcage Walk 3) 10:45-The March of the King's Men 4) 14:16-Bond of Friendship
@vickyRoyalHistory Awwww I've been missed 😊😄! Hello Vicky!!!! Hope you're doing well! Haha! I won't argue with you any longer if you say there's only one "Pedia". As always many thanks for your kind and encouraging words! Thanks for the Happy 4th of July wishes (Sorry to all the Brits for throwing your lovely Tea into the Harbour! 😂). Thanks for the info on the new march, we shall soon find out its name. It's a spiffing march that's for sure.
The amount of practice and effort they must put in to pull this off is amazing. Play an instrument whilst keeping in step and remembering your own parts - sort of patting your head while rubbing your belly at the same time!
I’m a bit late but thank you MrBaton for this fabulous video. So very clear and steady visually and the sound is simply superb (I’m sitting here miles away with headphones on and Wow😁)
I got some footage of the pipes and drums marching up Birdcage Walk tonight, should have it posted in a day or two, keep an eye open for it. You guys did a good job 👍
Grenadiers Drum Major certainly stands out with impeccable drill...... Position of the Mace perfect overall drill movements outstanding. Well done your Regiment should be proud that you lead the Battalion.
Thank you for your comments, I'm afraid I won't be able to get to any of the performances, but there are plenty of other creators I know who will be there so I think there will be plenty of videos of it about.
Love your videos, always so smooth it's obvious you're in step with the band. I really appreciate it, I've seen others I can't watch, only listen, I get motion sickness otherwise. With your videos it's like I'm marching with them too, only the slight motion of the terrain as one would see when walking. Thanks so much.
I love when the military individuals become one group then play with one voice. Even sitting at home I feel the spring in my step as my bum even moves to the rhythm of the march. Forward English men as one.
I'm just discovering the British marching bands (I'm American, sorry) and I'm just bowled over by the quality of their playing. It could almost be in a concert hall. However do they do it?
@vickyRoyalHistory thank you so very much for your kind answer. I have always loved the British regimental bands and how incredible it is to watch them marching in unison. I don’t think any other country in the world does it better. I will look up last year’s and watch it in full, again I thank you so much for your kindness and these wonderful wonderful videos
Great video Mr B. Thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to the massed bands. Quick question - does the Band of the Scots Guards have their own Drum Major? Noticed that there are sometimes more than one Drum Major from the same regiment on parade, but not one from the Scots Guards? Thanks again for posting.
Even the practices are perfect!!! I try to see one mistake, but no way!!! We in USA are so far away from that perfection...We feel humiliation at its best!!!
It's a rehearsal for the Household Division's Orb and Sceptre musical display on Horse Guards Parade in London. 4th, 5th and 6th July. This vid is the March from Wellington Barracks to Horse Guards Parade where the event takes place.
There are various websites you can visit that gives you most details of events, check out the Household Division site, some good info on there. Hope you get to see it in person some time.
The Flanders Fields Memorial is in that area, as Senior Drum Major he salutes the memorials as he passes, if you check at about 14:50 you can see him saluting as they go past the Guards Memorial.
Fantastic video!

Thanks Delvin! I've never heard the first march before and found it quite interesting.
40+ mins of playing/marching is draining! The tuba players deserve a break!
Wanted to hear more of that last drum line, extra thump added, thank you, lovely!!
I thought the first march was really good and nice to hear something different

Too right proud of them every single one of the military members. Keep safe and thank you to every single one of you.
Just wonderful can't stop watching it Greatest any where in the world
Thank you for the music. I love marching bands music. Especially nobody does it better than the British.
I'd say the US Marine bands are just as good if not better, and I'm neither American nor British.
@@desfletch Nothing compered to the Royal Marine Bands

Just finished the final parade there tonight, awesome experience for the national cadet force pipes and drums.
I got some footage of the pipes and drums marching up Birdcage Walk tonight, should have it posted in a day or two, keep an eye open for it. You guys did a good job 👍
Fantastic quality! Thank you for recording and posting! I can only imagine what the sound must be like in person!
Thank you.
What were you using to record? The sound quality is amazing. Listening to it in my car, I feel like I’m sitting next to the band.
Fantastic for a practice.
Grenadiers Drum Major certainly stands out with impeccable drill...... Position of the Mace perfect overall drill movements outstanding. Well done your Regiment should be proud that you lead the Battalion.
Agreed, unlike the DM on the right, he is half a pace behind everyone else. shoddy.
Marching is hard Work , but Marching and Play an Instrument is very hard Work , thx for the Service and Video!!
Simply the best😊
This is an excellent presentation!
JUST BRILLIANT ❤❤❤❤💂💂💂💂
Great music and great video. Thank you Mr B and best wishes from Cornwall👍👍👍👍
Great Video! Can't wait till i go on Wednesday 😊
Hope you have a great time. Will look forward to the video, I won't get to see the performance myself.
You're recordings are wonderful. I do hope you will be at the Orb & Sceptre to do it. I tried to get tickets but failed.
Thank you for your comments, I'm afraid I won't be able to get to any of the performances, but there are plenty of other creators I know who will be there so I think there will be plenty of videos of it about.
Great video thank you
Thank you, appreciate the comment.
Oh goody !!
15:00 pigeons marching along on the marble monument in triple time !!! 💕🇬🇧
I noted that also. The pigeons don’t miss a trick!
Excellent and well done the video taker!

Funny you see 3 pigeon at 14.57 march along to music to bad did not hold that moment very rare 😀

Great management of wind instrument musicians. You can get pretty puffed out marching and blowing.
These are very fit soldiers.
Chaos one second...Order the next!
Canadian here, even without full regalia. I hope I’m saying that right, they are magnificent.
Why did they split up at the very end?
@vickyRoyalHistory

Hi there. A question from Belgium. Wich drummajor has the lead with a massbands appearance.
The one in the centre. He’s from Northern Ireland! Great accent….
Just depends on the availability of Drum Majors in the Bands really, sometimes the 1-2 Drum Majors of the Scots Guards may not be able to be there
Thank you both for your kind replies. Much appreciated.
Damn near perfect again.
Sounds like a Belfast boy shouting ❤
What happened to drum major Daniel Fairley.
Why does the SDM sometimes salute as he passes the Guards Chapel and on other occasions doesn't?
What are they practicing for....there amazing
Some event called the Orb and Sceptre
@vickyRoyalHistory thank you for the info. I love watching the bands on You tube. I'm in Yorkshire
They keep
Practicing and marching for perfection
Not rainy at all!
Even the practices are perfect!!! I try to see one mistake, but no way!!! We in USA are so far away from that perfection...We feel humiliation at its best!!!
Disagree. The US Marine bands are excellent. They also play without the music on their instruments and the drumming is inventive and perfect.
The music starts @4:58
Ok DM Chambers with your instructions and salute
@vickyRoyalHistory thanks for the info! I noticed no one else salutes but him. You’re the best😊
What is the name of the March that the Band started off with before Bird Cage
It's called The Guards Chapel.
Did you get any videos of the pipers at all? My son is there. 😂
I'm afraid not, only the very short piece right at the beginning of the video.
Oh what a lovely band! Nice to Irish Guards DM as senior DM. But where are the female musicians? I don't see any on parade.
❤hi there would any of you lovely people know the name of the tune its 12,10 mins in ,,thanks
The foot guards regiments bands fall in march to horse guards parade London
what is the drum major saluting at ?
Statue
What is the practice for please ?is it for the Kings coronatioin in Scotland on Wednesday.?
Military musical spectacular for Orb and Scepter I saw in caption

How do you know when everything is?😂can you tell me so I can pop down to central and see it for myself. Thank you for the exclusive content though

@@MrBaton74 thank you mate
WOW! And that is what they cal a practice. WOW! ❤
👍👍🙌🙌
Why does the officer salute as he is the only one doing it, all I see is a monument of a dog I think
The Flanders Fields Memorial is in that area, as Senior Drum Major he salutes the memorials as he passes, if you check at about 14:50 you can see him saluting as they go past the Guards Memorial.
