I think the G-plus was one of the hardest to work on. Brushes were a big problem.

Glad I'm not the only one who has trouble with motor brush springs. Lost three trying to reassemble xtraction chase

Agreed. I'm glad I had the foresight to buy several G-Plus springs from a guy who sold new old stock parts before I started to restore my first G-Plus chassis. Had a few that got away from me too. lol

I keep a good supply of the springs just in case of one of the damn springs flying off into oblivion.

Stay away from the Mega G chassis, the brush springs in those are microscopic in comparison. Not my favourite chassis, not by a long shot. The xtraction only gave me grief while trying to put the armature back in without disturbing the brushes, but I have the hang of it now.

I'm with ya on all counts. Love the G-plus cars, love the 1970's F1's and that Leiger is too cool

It looks like you were cleaning the com with a wire brush. We used to use a fiberglass pencil to clean the com while under power. Have you tried that method? Love the G Plus. Nice video, thanks.

I like the speedshift. It will go either direction on the track. Lol

Should a showed what made the speed shifter the car it was. Could go both directions on track. I like mine. It goes fast.

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one that has a little trouble with the brush barrels on these. These were much easier to do when I was a kid. I usually use a metal cookie sheet when taking apart and reassembling chassis. It helps to contain flying parts but doesn't catch them all. Great video. Thanks for doing these videos.

Same here I use a small cookie sheet with a micro fiber or hand towel to catch any parts that slip out of my ig sausage fingers🤣🏁

It would have been good to see a dyno test of the before and after tune-up. Love your videos, keep up the good work.
