Hey I’m not too far from you down in Eldorado. I’ve only been at beekeeping for the last couple of years but it’s nice to see a local RUclipsr that I can pick up advice from in the same climate.

Thank you! My hive was being robbed and I put a robber screen like this on. I’m wondering when and if I should take it off? Also my bees are getting very backed up and not doing a good job finding the entrance. For now I’ve been opening it up now and then to let in the waiting hoard.

We put the remote entrances on at night. All the bees are in the hive. When morning arrives they will orientate to the new entrance.

@@honyokhoneybees8116 hmmm. I did put it on during. The night. It’s been two days and they are still clustered at the bottom of the screen with pollen on 🙄🤣 I’m still seeing some fighting so I think the robbers are still checking it out. It’s my fisrt hibe and just. Five frame nuc size still. I’m in love though🥺

The ones clustered below are either some of the bees that didn't make it back and spent the night outside or they can be robber bees. I would just leave it on. Also with the hot temps we have the bees that belong inside the hive hanging around on the outside. They do this to help keep the inside of the hive cooler.
