I look forward to weddings when the bridesmaids and other ladies pull their hair down kick off their heels and dance and spend the rest of the night barefoot. "You're old enough to Dance the nite away....." David Lee Roth.
LOL who says any of you get a wedding? You're all probably going to die alone in a shitty one bedroom studio apartment and get eaten by alley cats before anybody finds your corpse.
The fact Lohan actually took guitar lessons for this movie so she could play more convincingly. It’s still pretty obvious she’s not playing the exact same song but I appreciate the effort. Can we go back to rhe 00s movies and actors?
The whole band did lessons and rehearsals together then when they recorded in the studio, it was actually them playing so all the sound is actually them playing
pretty sure she is covering her face because she was embarrassed in a lighthearted way. Like "my kid is so crazy haha' kinda early 2000 parent type a way.
Lohan's character said the guitar belonged to her father, so after his death, she retreated into music to keep his spirit alive. The stepfather understood her passion during the rehearsal dinner and sent Jamie's character to support her. The finale, I believe, for Lohan's character, is keeping her father with her but accepting her new stepfather into the family. I wasn't into teen queen films; being a guy, but as a guitar player, this scene brought me to tears. Lohan really sold her character in the movie.
ebs, I don't listen to shit music. Don't piss me off. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. So take my advice, watch who you are talking to. Because I don't fuck around. So you mind your own business.
In my opinion, this was when Lindsay Lohan was at her best. She was awesome back then. I loved version of the movie too. A fresh version of this movie which the previous one was with Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris which was funny too. There's also a male version called Vice Versa with Fred Savage and Judge Reinhold.
it always bugs me when actors “play guitar” in a role but don’t even try to make it look real, but I was always impressed by how real Lindsey makes it look here!!! What a queen
I was 8 when this came out, 23 now and this is still pretty good! Would've been rad if they all were an actual band that toured. I so would've gone to see that girl with that short black hair, always had a crush for her.
Me I have 2000s movie and they bring me back some memories at the time when I was a kid and I watched movies from 2000-2003 and I'll be getting to 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 and next the 2010s and I been finished with movies from 1980s to 1990s since March 30-31 April 1-18
and 20 years later it's still the most badass and most epic performance ever! I loved how Lindsay looked so badass here ugh the jump the kneeling and just everything about that part was soooo cool. I've always thought it was her who's playing. Finding out that she doesn't really know just makes it more badass and shows how good Lindsay acting skills were because god she ate that up. This is the coolest band ever and u can't convince me otherwise
Damn. I miss early 2000’s music. I didn’t realize it at the time but, it was soo good. And the whole era just had a badass vibe. Also this was back when disney made decent movies.
Quentin Tarantino said this is one of the best movie endings. So I had to come back here, and he's right. I miss when teen movies were objectively great.
PIE-FACE it must have fell off at the beginning and the directors didn’t want to film the scene again so they kept going with it down...or it’s the style she’s going for. It always bothered me as a kid.
I was an adult when this came out and I loved it so age means no thing. To me this was when Lindsay Lohan was at her best. I wish she would sing more too. I have her CD she made back then and it's cool. Well, let it not be said that growing up is easy whether in the movies or in real life.
This was probably my favorite Disney song growing up and it still goes hard! It's also how I first knew about Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon way before I started watching One Tree Hill and NCIS, respectively.
I absolutely love this song!!! I know it’s nostalgic, but this will never get old!!! I ran to Apple Music and they had it!!!! If I ever get married I want a band to perform this live lol 😂.
I love that the character picked this song before her and her mother went through the events of the film. It proves what she was able to say which was that she was trying very hard to accept and be happy for her mom and her new stepfather.
Sometimes I find myself envying the generation that was born in the mid to late 80s ('84-'87) because they got to be teenagers in my favorite time period. But then again, as an early 90s kid my time wasn't that bad either lol.
Uhhhh I just finished watching this movie and literally I got chills. It gave me so much nostalgia to where it made me a little sad but like sad happy... I miss those early 2000’s vibes.. the Avril Lavigne and Michelle branch era... they were truly epic... they make you feel a certain way and this song ... this so is gold. It makes me want to have a sleepover and dance until the sun comes up.. I’m 23 btw LMAO
This was my hubby and i song when we waked in to the venue on our wedding day after photos(2007) what an impact love this song. He is my ultimate and i his so it was perfect.
I loved this song so much as a kid. And when we had our grand family reunion, I walked around wearing an earphone, listening to this song and singing along with it. I didn't know I was singing it too loud that I got their attention. 😂

You should relisten to this clip cuz you got the 2nd verse wrong. In this clip she said "you're the kind of guy whose hands in mine sends shivers up and down my spine. I wanna do to you what you do to me"
@@erikaphillips1989 Actually, in the 2nd verse, they replace the line "I wanna do to you, what you do to me" with "You took my heart and put it back together again". For some reason, they did this on the Soundtrack version. Did Disney actually think that "I wanna do to you, what you do to me" was/is "too dirty" to say and therefore, edit the CD Soundtrack? How lame!
This song is single handedly the most fun thing to play on guitar, it feels like you’re in a good Disney Jr movie and you just resolved the major conflict. Like “I feel a song coming on” but not as corny. The solo is everything idc if I look ridiculous playing it it’s so much fun
Lohan really sold her character in this scene. Anna developed a passion for music her fathers death (she plays his telecaster). This scene, while keeping her late father in her heart, is an acceptance of her stepfather into the family. This is my favorite scene, and Anna and Ryans discussion at the rehearsal dinner.
This was my favorite song and video for so long. I wished they were a real band with all my heart. Their other song Take me Away with Christina Vidal singing was just as good. Also, rewatching this all these years laters and couldn’t help noticing Lindsay’s figure and dress combo were just stunning here. And her solo and jump were so badass. So was the bassists’ stance and Christina’s hair and her voice in Take me Away. Oh why couldn’t they have been a real band? Whywhywhy???
I've watched this movie with my mom a few years ago, it became my favorite. A few years later, I found it again, and I'm planning to watch it again. Im inlove with this song~
I just noticed the elderly Asian woman who gave the fortune cookie is the same person in *Fresh off the boat* series where she plays the role of a Grandma! Wow! She's so blessed!
This film came out on August 6, 2003. I was born May 11, 2001. I was 2 years old when this film came out. I first saw this when I was 5 in the year 2006.
I remember jumping around the living room singing and air guitaring to this when I was 8 hahaha such happy memories/ pure innocence. Lindsay was the queen of Disney and I would’ve given my left arm to date Chad at the time I knew all the words 🙈🙈 and I remember the scandal that Chad took HILARY DUFF to the premiere when Lindsay was so into him and they dated during the film!! 🤣🤣 Omg take me tf back.
I tried to sing this for a school talent show in fifth grade 😭 they rejected me bc I was so nervous I was almost crying while I sang for the three people listening
My heart! Drama Queen and First also give me this feeling that almost no other songs can- Lindsay is unforgettable and could've had a music career in my opinion. No one was ever able to replace her.
Still crying and i'm waching for the 3rd time 😭😭😭 i guess this song and movie make me miss my grandma and grandpa.. they were still alive when i started liking lindsay 😢😢😭😭❤️
Sleepovers: my sister and I were friends with sisters (one was her age, one was my age, and they had an older sister who kind of was the leader for all of us) and we all would get up and sing along and dance to this song. Childhood!!! Man the memories of bygone times!!!
Back in the day when Lindsay was the queen of teen films.
Flubber Gubber but then drugs happened.
Melting Ice tru
Before she went stupid.

she sadly put on weight as well
Everything from the way Lindsay's eyes followed the camera, Jamie's rock sign, a last glimpse of Chad's 2000's hair.. This was the perfect ending
Sos una biosa linday lohan besos
Best totality of music in any movie, ever!
Yes!!!!!
Which ones chad. Jake?
And the way they all jump when the beat hits and she gets down on her knees for her bad ass guitar solo

Here after new of her pregnancy. So happy for her. She'll always be deeply etched into my early teens.
I know so happy for her! I guess freaky Friday sequel has to be on hold
This live-ish version sounds more authentic than the polished studio soundtrack version 🎸🎶
Love this song and the ending. They're having so much fun that it makes you want to be there! 😊
No matter how old I get this song always randomly plays in my head! lol
This song still lives rent free in my head.
Still crying and i'm waching for the 3rd time 😭😭😭 i guess this song and movie make me miss my grandma and grandpa.. they were still alive when i started liking lindsay 😢😢😭😭❤️
So it seems that Freaky Friday 2 is coming... So happy to see what to follows next... Amazing song everytime...
"cause I've been waiting All my life, for someone just like you!"
Slaps, so hard!
Only seen that movie once but the ending and the song still stuck in my head to this day, so much fun lol
I love Linsey Lohan!I love her music videos and they are awsome! She Rocks my world!
Sleepovers: my sister and I were friends with sisters (one was her age, one was my age, and they had an older sister who kind of was the leader for all of us) and we all would get up and sing along and dance to this song. Childhood!!!
Man the memories of bygone times!!!
