Super cool fact, thats actually Jamie playing the solo in that scene, She trained for a year. Such a bada**
Damn.
Get out of here. 😮
Always thought it was too epic to be true. WTF!!!
awh omg i luv
No way! That's. Awesome.
We know this.
jamie and lindsay were so fucking incredible in this movie, i'll never get over it.
they need to work together again!
Omg ikrrr...
Right..
@@Dash120z Period!! There were rumors Lindsay could've been cast in Scream Queens but then nothing came out of it so hopefully something does happen soon!
@@dandylion2279 LiLo in Scream Queens? that would've been amazing, if they ever make a season 3 she better be in it !
Let's be honest here guys. That audience wasn't going to notice anything cause they were probably all super STONED.
HAHAHAHHA OMG IVE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT
Lool
Probably hahaha
I know I would be
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The fact Lindsay and Jamie both trained to play guitar for this movie is freaking awesome.
Jamie is slaying
right, thats actually insane to have learned that for amovie!! now they have that skill forever if they choose really
that is so awesome
This movie is better then the remake in my opinion
@@tongan_man30 this is also a remake, the original had Jodie Foster in it.
How did they not notice her fingers weren’t moving HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I CAN’T
🤣🤣
IKR she’s just strumming but her left hand isn’t changing notes
2003 hunny
They were high af I guess
Teddy Bear 🤣😂
now THIS. this, was a cultural reset.
Um how
Kaitlynn Orr cause it was ❤️
Mercy Colon but how
@@kaitidc5452 it's hilarious one of the funniest movies I've ever seen!
@@kaitidc5452 ikr... How?! 😂
the fact i actually thought the moms spirit was inside her body with those dance moves, she was such a good actress back in the day
She probably still is if given the right opportunities and roles, she was good in the Netflix show Sick Note a few yrs ago. She's always had great comedic timing
@@dandylion2279 "comedic timing" the thing most shows lost these days.

Jamie and Lindsay was too Good playing each other
@@onlyonSiMPLE pl
This movie is such a classic. Lindsay and Jamie were so good and the fact that Jamie actually played the guitar solo here is amazing!!!
Wait, she did?!
@@endymionisrafieldeios7362 yeah she learned all of the chords so the playing could look realistic!!! so baller
@@endymionisrafieldeios7362 Yes she learned how to play guitar just for this scene!
@@devinhvalentine Oh my God WOW!
@@cedrikvaillancourt1714 That's AWESOME!!
Back when Disney remakes had actual thought put into them and weren't just quick cash grabs. Heck a lot of people originally didn't even know this was a remake, I sure didn't.
wait this is a remake?
@@felipipon9108 Yes the original version came out in 1976 and starred Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris.
This movie has been done in different and same titles more than half a dozen times
Same!
Lohan was the queen of remakes: the Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Herbie.. she was amazing
that guitar solo gives me chills every single time!!!
Same
And she played it for realzz!!!
De novatos
My favorite part from the whole movie,
My favorite part from the whole movie,
Still blows my mind to this day that Jaime Lee Curtis actually learned that riff and absolutely NAILED it 🖤🖤
That power drop after the solo is my favorite part
She is a gem ....
she kinda learned it but didn't play it you can tell she was very beginnerish. Shes was way better than Lindsey at pretending tho. The scream queen.
StephanieLee
Real G shit!
This whole movie is so underrated. A fake band with a full female lead, with girls with such badass punk styles, AND WITH an amazing guitar solo, like this song slaps way more than any other mainstream songs and its still amazing to this day. And it’s JUST IN A MOVIE. I haven’t watched it in so long and I still remember the lyrics word for word. Like they went for so much effort for this whole song played a few times through the movie. I would love if they were a real band. And also the acting is so good. Lindsay and Jamie had not only learned their own roles but had to learn the other person’s character and their behavior in half of the movie. And there are just so many iconic scenes in the whole movie. This movie is so underrated and I think is one of the best early 2000s movies.
UPDATE: So apparently i am wrong as people have informed me in the replies and i have done research, the song was not made for the movie although it was changed slightly from the original i think. The original was made by Lash a band from 1996. Freaky Friday changed it a bit and added the solo. Thats why Lash wasn’t directly credited as the original. At least that’s what i couldn’t find and apparently no one else really knew of the original either. And in the soundtrack they put in a different song by Lash and other artists from the 1990s and the early 2000s. Christina Vidal was the one who got credit for the song in the movie for the performance of it. And the members of Lash and other people that wrote the original are credited on IMDb, but not much of anywhere else that i could find. Idk if that was added in after or when the movie came out either, but i do think that’s really weird.
We deserved an album or EP by them 😭the songs were right there!! Disney rly fumbled the bag
I love a good guitar solo.
I think it is inspired by "the donnas", the band doesn't exist anymore but if you like the vibe you should check it, it's really great. I think they even appeard in the movie.
@@LucieRizzo They have a song in the soundtrack too. The Donnas were an all female band though, Pink Slip had two guys.
Lash was an Australian band, I really liked this song when it came out, I thought it was an awesome & I didn't have never known many female bands.
I was actually looking for this song as I forgot what it was called & never watched freaky Friday (always ment to) I found this song from the original lash video(it's a bit weird in places)
I was very sad to hear they broke up, it was pressure from people in the industry in Australia thinking they were manufactured (Australia has an issue with "tall poppy syndrome")
let’s talk about how this is a badass female-led band
That’s Tiana (spell check) she was the lead of her on show in the mid 2000’s
B MOORE You mean Christina Vidal.
yess girl power!

Honestly 2:04 gives me the chills all the time.
Same!
Me too!
Yea! Year after year, every time i hear that part! 15 years after i watched it first time
ABSOLUTELY EVERY TIME!!!!!
Me too !!!!
I like how you can tell there's a guitar part missing. Like, it just doesn't sound right with just one guitar. Also, that solo is freaking iconic. I loved this song when I first heard it in the movie and never forgot it. I even looked it up a couple years ago to relive my childhood lol. Everything about this movie is so iconic and great. I love it so much 🙂
Lol! totally. I did a lipsync/dance to this song in middle school talent contest with two of my best friends. Never did anything like that before and never again. But that song was awesome enough to get me to do something crazy.
But also props to the rhythm guitarist for holding them together so long by herself!
This is by far the best song in this movie🙂
here's the original of this song: ruclips.net/video/LZdoN6HHcaE/видео.html
But there are three guitarists in the band, so you're saying there's still a 4th guitar missing?
i miss Lindsay Lohan so much, i always wish things went differently and we have more movies with her. she's so talented
Unfortunately she’s dead 😔
@@rebinalaishram7867 She is kinda coming back though, no? Like from recent interviews I’ve seen with her, she seems like she could actually do very well in the internet-influencer/celebrity era because of her raw and honest personality which happens to be entertaining as well.
She’s got a new Netflix Christmas movie!
She has a contract with Netflix for two movies
One is already out
💯🖤🖤🖤
Having been a teenager in this era, this song was great then and still is now.
The best part of the movie.
RED 👍
Definitely. This is the first scene that comes to mind when I think about this movie. It's the most memorable imo💯
The reason Jamie is so great is because this movie casted her as a last second decision. All the acting you see her doing in this movie is her going on whim with just a few moments to read over the lines each time they cut for a scene. She truely is a natural born actress. She is an icon and I love her
yes yes 🥰😘💋⭐️⭐️⭐️🏃♀️😍 to do see my big girl
It makes me tear up when the “daughter” looks over at her “mother” playing the guitar for her to be able to perform the solo. I love how they both get to live each others lives and see what its like for each of them. I love this movie
Her mom on stage totally out of her element, really seeing that her daughter is a rock star for the first time. Great scene.
“Act like Keith!”
*blank look*
“RICHARDS, mom!!”
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏 kids these days would never even know stuff like that. This is why I love the early 2ks.
Trust me every generation of music geeks will always know about guys like Keith Richards
Yes,there are kids that know whi keith Richards is
don't act like the early 2000's was such a long time ago
@@mudbucket1354 20 years man. 😭

AHHHHHHHHH......... MY CHILDHOOD..... MEMORIES.....
lol
This guitar solo always gave me chills
Cristina Vidal: this girl deserved so much more in the 2000’s. She was hella talented. It’s like a little gem when I find movies she’s been in.
I loveeeed Taina so much!!! That made me loved even more freaky friday!
@@brenda-pc6ffyessss!!!!!

Same.
Same and now I want to learn how to play the drums too
go for it
they just don’t make good movies like this one anymore
They don't make good movies like the original one anymore.
I came back to this movie for nostalgia and I thought it would be one of those stupid Disney movies I thought was good when I was younger. I was surprised that it was actually a good movie
😭😭😭😭😭
@@dgrace8058 This remake is better than the original tbh
@mar No, this remake is better than the original by far imo. Parent Trap is closer and whoever grew up with one or the one makes more of a difference in their preference
I swear watching Jaime Lee Courtis doing that solo is one of the best and wildests things I’ve seen on a Disney movie, and she was actually playing de guitar.
Was she really?
@@j-tenn226 yes, she practiced for it
Another cool fact: Lindsay Lohan also got to learn how to play guitar for a month before starting filming. She actually played the guitar for the ‘Ultimate’ song!
She faked the left hand very good but the right hand was completely off
In fact the left hand was flawless, that's how you actually play the solo
- We changed from CCD to CDC
- ... You play notes ?!?
Edwin Barton
I just thought we could play in the key of rock
@Lethu Mthiyane
...yeah. let’s fix your hair
lol
What stuns me,as an Italian,is that you English speakers call the notes with LETTERS!😵
And I mean, single letters...like..what the heck do the C and the D stand for??
@@Nicamon I am bulgarian, and we call the notes: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si, Do
and the english speakers call them:
A - La
B - Ci
C - Do
D - Re
E - Mi
F - Fa
G - Sol
WHY AM I CRYING
Sameeee
Because you missed me
Halow
cuz nostalgia is real and the good times are long gone 😭
cuz is epic and brings nostalgia
The best partS of the movie "Act like Keith." "Richards, mom!" Then the solo, then Jamie lipping, "Never ends."
Lindsay Lohan is such a talent . This entertainment industry broke her
She is
I blame her parents and the paparazzi, if she had got a better support system she would've survived.
This song goes hard still in 2020! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
2022.
- Cambiamos de DO DO RE a DO RE DO
- Tocamos con notas?
- 🌚🌚
Tocaremos sin derrota
😂😂😂😂😂
Does anyone else ever replay this part because they like to pretend they're the guitar soloist lmao or is that just me
no I do this reason reason I came back
100%. Whole song slaps
Anyone here from quarantine 2020?
Yup
What’s up
I actually re-watched the movie during quarantine. 😂♥️👍
Taurus19 it’s a great movie 😂😂
Heh
We were so dumb as kids. In reality, half the crown would be booing from how obvious it is that she isn't actually playing during the solo. Finger placement, timing, strumming when there isn't any noise coming from her and not playing when there is.
the audience was probably too drunk to notice it
It’s a movie 😭
Dash120z and too high 😂😂
I’m sure they’re all stoned 💀
There is such a thing as "willing suspension of disbelief" when watching almost any movie..otherwise we'd never enjoy anything and just pick stuff apart.
My name is Anna and honestly I never noticed but hearing my childhood crush say “Anna you rock!” Just fueled me for several years 🥲
Im going to admit this. So as a kid i loved this movie! Still do. But back then tho i thought the reverse roles acting was so on point, that I thought they had actually somehow really switch bodies for this film!!!
I always get chills in this scene, especially watching Jamie Lee Curtis rocking like a godess!!
Lyrics:
Get up, get out
Move 'em, move 'em, there's no doubt
I'm all wrong, you're right
It's all the same with you
I'm too thin, too fat
You ask why
So why, so why?
So why, so why?

Hey, take me away

Round and round, here we go again
Same old start, same old end
Turn my head and turn back again
Same old stuff, never ends
Do this, do that
Can't deal, can't deal with that
I tune in, tune out
I've heard it all before
Hello, goodbye
Never asking me why
Goodbye, goodbye

The Kuddly Krab Also, one of the best scenes
1:45-2:48 I don’t know why, but specifically this scene almost makes me cry lol
The best remake. The 1995 and 2018 ones were okay, but nothing beats this one. I totally felt Tess through Anna and vice-versa. Lindsay and Jamie are excellent actresses

I love the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis learned to lay the guitar for this role.
Lo mejor de la película es su solo
“I just thought we could play in the key of ROCK!!”
Jamie Lee Curtis in this guitar solo is the sexiest thing I've ever seen a woman do
Yo solo vengo a recordarles que Jamie Lee Curtis debió ganar su primer Oscar en esta escena 🧡
The Solo:😈😈😈😈

Lindsay looks gorgeous in this video 😍😍☺️
why was this song removed from Spotify????
Aaliyah Russell it was removed from Apple Music too which has really annoyed me because this song is an absolute banger
Rhian Jones same
I was just looking for it too
So I’m not crazy! It’s not like they removed more than one. They only removed this one.
