Personally, I think it's quite a beautiful and happy one. Chise learns to see the beauty and wonders of the world, which she wouldn't have been able to see had she gave up earlier. What I loved about this episode is that it gave you another view of death, instead of seeing it as the end it is seen as a whole new beginning.
