My problem with the Force Awakens is it feels like a cash grab. It is trying to stretch out 1 movie into a game vs other Lego games having 3+ films being put into the games.
@@Bearical I did not like this game back when I still had hope for the sequels. I still like the Force Awakens movie but this game was one of Lego's worst games ever. They butchered the story by so greatly extending it with the rest of the Lego games based on films you can either beat the movies in about the same time it takes to watch (if you go for full stud meter and try to get everything you can get like I do) or less (if you just speed run) You could be able to watch the sequel trilogy in the time it takes to beat this one game.
My main issue with Lego Batman 3 was how zoomed out everything felt. It would've felt better if the camera zoomed in a bit more on the characters rather than the stage/hub.
Great video as always but I personally think Lego Batman 3’s open world is way worse than Force Awakens mainly because of the camera and the spherical structure of the planets, makes you feel sick flying around them.
Tbh I don’t care about those about the planets because I had fun with it but after you beat the game and unlock the characters and such there’s absolutely nothing to do making the planets that barely had any form of structure feel like they’re dead and life less draining any enjoyment found in the planets.
I disagree, tbh I think the force awaken’s open world was just completely forgettable and boring to explore but I enjoyed the planets in lego batman 3 because while they were small it felt like you could turn any corner and find something worth exploring. I also didn’t mind the fixed camera, I got used to it fairly quick.

I just love LEGO pirates of the Caribbean, because it was the only game I ever played on my wii growing up. While lego dimensions open world can be awesome, you have to constantly pay in order to have fun and improve the open world so for that reason alone it’s the worst one for me
You only have to pay for the worlds you want, the detail put into them is good and it is fine since it was like getting DLC when it first came out. I wish there was a remastered version where all of the characters are in the game available for purchase since some of the Toy Tags are expensive.
Just finished the marvel 2 story and doing all the collectibles in Chronoplolis is actually fun as hell because there‘s so many different areas to run around in, so it doesn’t get boring.
I wholeheartedly agree, when I got awakens I was expecting a big open world because imagine what they could do with the planets but I was very disappointed, Skywalker saga will make up for it for sure
If we get a new Lego Middle Earth (Lord of the Rings/ Hobbit) game I think they should include stuff from the books like levels based on the Old Forrest, The Barrow Downs, Scouring Of The Shire and other parts of the books that did not make it to the films.
Agreed. Same thing with Harry Potter. A lego game adapting the story of the books rather than the movies which would greatly improve them (especially 4 and 6).
It has some elements, in The Hobbit one you can visit Tom Bombadil's cottage and the place where that one evil spirit was near Bree (I forgot his name in english but in spanish it was "tumulario")
I love the Lego Batman 1 DS game. The only one that I remember sucks is Lego Marvel Super Heroes since it took all of the fun out of Lego games and made you do a flawless no death run on each level with a time limit.
@@Lord-Emperor-Vader Some of the earlier Lego games on DS and PSP had unique aspects to them, but a lot of the latter ones like Harry Potter were absolutely awful and lazily made shovelware.
I sincerely feel they should have waited to do the new trilogy as it's own game instead of just the first movie which leaves a whole lot of nothing in the open world to show for it.
I was very disappointed in tfa. I got it after the early Skywalker Saga Trailers dropped to get some early hype, and imo the Levels are some of the best so that got me even more hyped, but...
For me, the worst will always be Batman 3, and the reason is simple: Gotham City, in the previous game, was the absolute best open world in a lego game i ever played. That shit was *MASSIVE* for the time it came out, and it had a ton of personality. The night sky gave it a very good looking atmosphere, in contrast to the eternal daylight in Marvel, just to give it an example. Also, the fact that the city remained so chaotic after the main quest just made it very funny to just wander around. I got every single collectable in the whole game except for *ONE* golden brick i couldn't figure out how to get because i was a dumb child. I had all the characters except for the one that required all the golden bricks. That's the closest i ever got to 100% in a game EVER. I couldn't get that same vibe in Lego Marvel, the game was awesome, but it just didn't feel the same. I wasn't into so many bright colors, and sometimes the game just felt like nothing was happening at all. And FINALLY... Batman 3. Do i even need to put in words the level of disappointment i felt on that shit? I don't think so.
I've got to agree, LEGO Star Wars: TFA has open worlds that have so much space that should be filled with interesting objects, and that even includes the 3DS version, where the worlds are on a smaller scale than console/PC. If you're playing a 3DS version of a LEGO game, it has a open world smaller than the console/PC version, and it has a ton of space, either you're on a road (in the game, not irl) or something is wrong.
I grew up on Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and Lego Lord of the Rings, all for the Wii. Some of the best games ever.
The fact that there is almost no side material (like novels, comics and other media) for the Sequels will probably make it difficult to include much content on the Sequel planets in the Skywalker Saga. After all the OT's planets and the Prequel's planets offer so many opportunities for easter eggs and references (for example Coruscant or Tatooine). I just hope that TT Games made up a tone of content for these worlds so that they won't feel so empty.
The closest thing to bonus content the sequels could have are like those tiny side missions that I know existed in Force Awakens that did fill in small things like Han getting those giant aliens that chased them that one time and... I dunno what else I didn't play the game much...
@@holocronbrickproduction8167 Ironically I didn't watch the full video before commenting so I know what you mean.. but there is no way they wouldn't make it at least somewhat enjoyable to be on sequel planets.. at least now there are more than one movie to base things on

Probably they'll do a Back To The Future Lego Game, I mean it isn't all too big but could bring very much joy, and they just have started the Lego series for it.
Whenever I replay a Lego game I like just walking around the world for fun but just getting the collectables on the lantern planets make me want to stop playing.
I find that Lego Jurassic World/Park is one of the best Lego games ever made. It hit that sweet spot where the open world is incredibly engaging but the levels are still super enjoyable to play through. There is also quite a bit of team work required and some really cool combos you can do in co-op mode. Over all I think that game was near perfect and yet it does not get the hype it deserves.

I'm happy I'm not the only one who hated Lego Batman 3's open world. The planets were bland and empty once you did everything Also man I remember way back when Lego Batman 2 was coming out. A Lego game with voice acting AND a massive open world? Absolutely awesome. I'm so happy Lego games became open world's because it's combining my two favorite genres into one Also if you didn't know, Lego games used to have two separate teams. The first team did the big games, like Marvel, DC, and star wars, while the second did summer releases that weren't as good. These games included Jurassic World, the Lego Movie 1 and 2, Lego worlds, and the force awakens
What WB did to Lego the hobbit was and is unacceptable u don’t make two game adaptations then never make third that would’ve concluded the trilogy stupid af pisses people and the whole point and purpose of making the first two r gone
IMO The worst LEGO Open World is a tie between LEGO Batman 2's Gotham City and whatever the hell LEGO Batman 3 did. LB3 makes all the sense, but why LB2, I hear everyone ask. I'll tell you: the Flight Mechanic. This was the first LEGO game to actively have a flight mechanic, and having it built in with the targeting ring was *abysmal,* especially if you wanted to see the glory of Gotham from up high. It was even WORSE for people playing it on the Wii, because we had to endure the motion controls. That's not even MENTIONING the fact that you can't visit Metropolis when there's a level that shows you going to Metropolis! THE MAIN VILLAIN IS A SUPERMAN VILLAIN, WHY CAN'T YOU VISIT METROPOLIS?!
I gotta say I disagree on TFA, I had almost as much as fun in jakku as in the marvel SH 2 chronopolis (which is actually very flawed but not many people talk about it)
Honestly same. It would have been really cool if Lego dimensions hadn’t already done the whole “merged locations” thing but unfortunately Tt had a bit of a hard on for that idea after that game
Me and my brother were so disappointed when we saw batman 3 had no open world when were younger, at least we loved the 60's batman mission On the other hand the force awakens was so boring we left it on like mission 4 if i recall correctly
Man, please do a full Lego batman revirw of your own things, like what u liked from the games and what u disliked. I very much like the channel. Hugs from brazil
I definitely agree that TFA's open world is the worst. With most Lego games, I love to play through the game again and explore the open world, but this one is just boring. The only characters you can unlock in the open world are the Carbonite brick characters, which are super easy to find and don't cost any studs, so once you've collected them, the only things left in the open world are side quests and gold bricks.
I want them to do something as skywalker saga but for lego Lord of the rings. So all of the hobbit trilogy and all of the Lord of the rings trilogy. Both maps combined.
The force awakens felt like a complete cash grab and in every way feels cheap, the mechanics, the characters, the vehicles, the DLC, it felt disappointing in every way imaginable
i enjoy the skywalker saga a lot more than i did with the complete saga years ago. it's so much more open world now that my brain hurts trying to navigate it lol

Also man I remember way back when Lego Batman 2 was coming out. A Lego game with voice acting AND a massive open world? Absolutely awesome. I'm so happy Lego games became open world's because it's combining my two favorite genres into one
Also if you didn't know, Lego games used to have two separate teams. The first team did the big games, like Marvel, DC, and star wars, while the second did summer releases that weren't as good. These games included Jurassic World, the Lego Movie 1 and 2, Lego worlds, and the force awakens
Me da gracia cada vez que dices adiós al final de los vídeos. Not gonna lie I felt impressed the first time I heard It, youre such an amazing guy 😁
What WB did to Lego the hobbit was and is unacceptable u don’t make two game adaptations then never make third that would’ve concluded the trilogy stupid af pisses people and the whole point and purpose of making the first two r gone
@RuggedEagle I don’t know why but the full demo of the skywalker saga leaked online yesterday
One of my favorite hub areas is Dexters Diner hopefully they have it in Skywalker saga
Really Nice vídeo rugged
Always love the editing eagle puts in his videos
Open worlds shouldn't be so limited nor feel empty. Those are the primary rules when it comes to making an open world game.
I gotta say I disagree on TFA, I had almost as much as fun in jakku as in the marvel SH 2 chronopolis (which is actually very flawed but not many people talk about it)
What was that ATST you were driving on Jakku?
This might be just me but I really didn't like the open world in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2
Honestly same. It would have been really cool if Lego dimensions hadn’t already done the whole “merged locations” thing but unfortunately Tt had a bit of a hard on for that idea after that game
Lego batman 2 is my personal fave,it's my fave Lego game and the map paired with the soundtrack and character designs fills me with nostalgia
i think the worst thing about this lego game was that i never found the character customizer
Dqar also has personality because there are people walking around that base.
I would definitely play a pirates games with the world design of something like Zelda: Wind Waker or AC4
I can tell You Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga prolly has the best open world of any lego game. Like omg, lego outdid themselves with this one.
Oh my, I forgot my favorite LEGO game is LEGO Batman FREE...
Me and my brother were so disappointed when we saw batman 3 had no open world when were younger, at least we loved the 60's batman mission
On the other hand the force awakens was so boring we left it on like mission 4 if i recall correctly
Man, please do a full Lego batman revirw of your own things, like what u liked from the games and what u disliked. I very much like the channel. Hugs from brazil
Imagine if Lego the hobbit Finnished all the movies... the open world would be much bigger.
Now you’ve got to do all of these videos again when skywalker saga comes out
I want them to do something as skywalker saga but for lego Lord of the rings. So all of the hobbit trilogy and all of the Lord of the rings trilogy. Both maps combined.
The force awakens felt like a complete cash grab and in every way feels cheap, the mechanics, the characters, the vehicles, the DLC, it felt disappointing in every way imaginable
The dlc is the best dlc in any lego game becuz of captain rex
@@WyaSlay I agree Rex was good but all the Jedi DLC had identical animations!
I find it funny that jakku is number on your count down and has the most variety, but here is the thing, jakku is basically nowhere
Leaked Lego Skywalker saga gameplay
Omg he mentioned the mythril dance phial in Lego Lord of the Rings! I love that thing!
i enjoy the skywalker saga a lot more than i did with the complete saga years ago. it's so much more open world now that my brain hurts trying to navigate it lol
The complete saga doesn’t even have an open world
Force Awakens is gonna be completely forgotten after Skywalker Saga ngl
I actually don’t really mind TFA’s open world tbh
imagine assassins creed black flag open world but as lego pirates of the caribbean
