How did you not mention the most annoying part in the death star level from the complete saga? It's when you are trying to build the door, and all of the storm troopers keeps firing at you, AND YOU CAN'T OPEN THE DOOR!
@@ruggedeagle It was so annoying, but I had trouble with that yellow car as well, and I was so confused when I was younger, because I thought you just had to swing across, but it just wouldn't work.
Oh my god… Don’t even get me STArTEd on that part! I remember playing that level as a kid and absolutely hating it because of that OnE PART! They level itself is also insanely long an tedious which adds to the problem! Sorry I really just had to get that out of my system.
The complete saga really did have a various amount of difficult missions looking back, glad to see people agree with those missions I always found kinda annoying as a kid
It’s telling that most of these levels are ones I remember really struggling on as a kid. The Complete Saga buttons, The Temple of Doom level, Gunship Cavalry, Podracing, the million stud levels (Collecting each and every stud… So tough.), etc.
Me and my dad were stuck on the whip part for months, I never realised that the whip was what I needed to use until many years later. We literally developed a strategy by swapping characters
The pod race used to be the bane of my life, I returned to it back in 2019 and actually managed to do it in one go. Felt like my heart was going to burst from the adrenaline rush and how happy I was to finally beat the level that made my younger self rage so much.
Lego star wars is one of my favorite games on the ps2, and seeing gunship cavalry being considered the hardest level gives me a weird feeling knowing it's still relevant somewhat
I’m surprised Hoth Battle didn’t make it on this list. It’s easily one of my least favorite levels in The Complete Saga, with the towing bombs, and the fact that the AT-ATs can STAND BACK UP if you don’t destroy them quick enough. Though I never had the latter happen to me on the PC version, I vividly remember it happening on the Wii version.
If you played the original lego star wars 2 on the 360, I found it very hard to complete a lot of episodes including hoth battle with out diying with no extras on, to gang achievements
About the Death Star Escape in the Complete Saga, I found a key that is much easier to use instead of the yellow little car. If you play free play, and you have extra toggle on, use the mouse droid to go over the buttons, it’s faster and easier than using the car
For me at least, one of the hardest levels was the final level in Lego Indiana Jones. The one where Indy and (I believe) Sallah travel through the trials to reach the Holy Grail (I haven't playes the game in years so a lot my memories are vague). I don't know if it's because I was an impatient kid when I first played that level, or if it was bad designs, but I remember getting frustrated with that one level. Especially when it came to those buzz saws that appeared so fast and can cause instant death. And then there was the part where Indy had to find the Holy Grail, while at the same time dealing with the knight guarding the Grail. And keep in mind, I played Lego Indiana Jones before watching any of the Indiana Jones movies, so I was unfamiliar with the context. Anyway, because of my lack of knowledge of what was happening, I randomly grabbed the chalice one by one. And every time I did that I died the moment I drank from those chalices. And every time I respawned, the knight would come in and attack me. It was a tedious cycle of rinse and repeat. And of course, I tried out every chalice, until I found the brown chalice, which was also the last chalice I used, drank it and the level was over. Needless to say, that level was miserable.
I just love the small G.L.A.D.O.S. Cameos, because Portal is one of my favourite Franchises and it was really funny everytime you speak with Glados. Keep it up Rugged.
Great video once again! You make points about levels that I always knew were true but didn't know other people struggled with. It makes me want to play these levels again
Finally, someone mentioned the squares mission from lego star wars the complete saga! Oh, i spend HOURS compleeting just THAT one part. Love your videos man! Always gets better and better.
I remember being stuck in that part for a long time. Since I wasn't capable to put all the squares in green, I thought that was just imposible and the level should have another exit. Until I finally made it
I personally think the Zam Wesell, Death Star trench run and the Endor speeder bike levels from the Skywalker Saga should be on here. Those levels are a pain in the ass to complete, and on the speeder bike one you can fall out of the map. I do think the Death Star level is kind of saved due to its farming use, but the way the TIE fighters dodge your shots and crash into the Death Stars surface is annoying.
The Zam Wesell mission specifically was just horrible. The Death Star run was a challenge, but Zam Wesell was just a slog - not difficult but just a pain to do
Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy is one of the most rage inducing Lego games I've ever played simply for trying to get the "Undefeated" achievements, trying to beat Death Star Escape without dying once is so tedious, trying to balance out killing the stupid amount of stormtroopers, getting hearts to survive and building the required grapple point and doorway is ridiculous.
in lego harry potter years 5-7 there is a level in which you need to feed dumbledore some poisenous drink 5 times in a row i struggled a lot with that one maybe it deserves 9th hardest level or something

If you grew up playing games like Sonic, the pod racer level isn't that much of a challenge. The only real reason I had trouble getting through it was because I was forced to play with my brother on the Wii. I think we discovered it was easier if only one of us played the level, I can't remember who beat the level first and I didn't discover my love of Sonic until like 2013 when Generations came out and had forgotten Sonic Adventure 2. I actually had more trouble with Skywalker Saga's if I'm being honest.
That was an excellent timing actually, i just replayed the Lego Complete Saga game with the two terrible levels of podracing and gunship cavarly... Even as an adult i had to restart dozens of times, but what a victory when i succeeded finally! I still have ptsd of the yellow car though, omg that thing was incredibly hard to manoeuver and slided like some soap.
@@ruggedeagle Anytime. Recently, like in February of this year, I FINALLY 100%-ed TCS, and I even got through the original “Gunship Cavalry” without dying. Even crazier, I didn’t even need the invincibility extra for that level. Still, the original “Mos Espa Podrace” is a challenge because of the time limit for each part of each lap. When I first got TCS, it never occurred to me that I could just use the Force Ghosts on the blue Minikit challenges-thanks to packattack04082 for the walkthroughs on those. As for the Super Stories, the prequels were much easier than the OT, as the enemies weren’t as frequent. Heck, I was only seconds from going over the 1-hour mark for ROTJ. Whether this is heart-worthy is up to you, but I can say that TCS is a big part of my childhood. Compared to _LEGO Skywalker Saga,_ 2007 seems so long ago.
@@ruggedeagle Who knows? Still, I’m so proud of how I didn’t die in that level. The “Gunship Cavalry” we have in the TCS campaign is on par with… “Hoth Battle.” Many times has my cable snapped, and sometimes your bomb will go off before you can retrieve it. “Assault on Echo Base” is a massive improvement over that.
I remember when I got stuck on the pod-racing level on the original Lego Star Wars game back in 2005 and it was very challenging. Now, I completed the Podracing level in the Skywalker Saga game and it is better

I feel like the pod race is only hard in Lego Star Wars 1, not the complete saga. In that game there’s a time limit where if you don’t make it to the end by that time, you die and have to instantly restart the section.
The level isn't hard but i didn't realize the first time i played it that the string broke if i whipped it to hard and just thought it was a time thing where it would go off if i took too long so that was an experience
The top two levels i ever had issues with, was the one thousand stud, Statue of Liberty level in Marvel Super Heroes level, and the Pod Race. I remember spending so long trying to complete it, when i did finally beat it just left me empty. The thousand stud level i never completed. Its my last memory with that game before i never touched it again because of that level lol
@@ruggedeagle That was another source of anger for me. Also, I would’ve used “Dramatic Impact 5,” from _The Ren and Stimpy Show_ and _SpongeBob SquarePants,_ or the _Young Frankenstein_ dramatic cue.

Especially when you gotta drive ALL the way back just to lose again.. anyway! I’d totally agree with your list! Always good to go and reminisce on the classic Lego game levels!
For me the hardest as a kid was the Smugglers Den from Pirates of the Caribbean. It was the first Lego game I had ever played and I got stuck on the telescope part. It was the first time they introduced that feature in the game and I had no clue what to do. I kept running in and out of the cave, all over the whole island trying to find some way to progress the level until I eventually looked up how to do it. They really could have explained how to do that better lol

I played the og Lego Star Wars back in 2005. That pod racing level was rough, but at 8 years old I became a master of weaving every nook and cranny of Beggars Canyon
When I was younger I really struggled with the pod race level and gunship calvery but when I replayed lego star war complete saga I did them both first try
I miss my Lego dimensions game. I really hated the game because of the storage! The storage for Xbox 360 sucked! But the only reason why I loved the game is because the level set designs is amazing, and the characters.
the hardest lego game i ever played was the lego movie for 3DS; the life system in that game works differently than possibly every other lego game in that when you die, you have to restart the level from the beginning. fortunately there are golden heart pickups that fully restore your health when you touch them
Personally I would switch the last 2 levels, because the pod race level was so hard for both me and my sister, that we had to give up. Years later, I finally finished the level, and I was so happy.
Hey! I've got an amazing idea for a video! I'd love to see a comparison between LEGO Marvel and LEGO DC games. Especially when it comes to special abilities, just to see which franchise is more original and which takes more from the other one. Another great video by the way :)
idk if it counts as a level. but one of the hardest levels ive ever played through in a lego game is the rugosa separatist assault. If you don't have the spider droid unlocked which i did not, you need to rely on the clunky droid command mechanic to lead your troops to the ray shield protecting the command center, BUT what bothers me is that most of the time your troops will either not listen to you, aim at something else anf worse of all. get killed by a random patrol of clones. this level took me over an HOUR to beat til i gave up and looked up how to get the spider droid. cuz i honestly dont know how you are supposed to beat it without it.
On the podracer level me and my bigger brother would always ask our dad to complete it for us. One time it liturly took him one and a half hours to complete it. Oh the memories 😌
I’m currently on a mission to 100% all of the games, and I just got finished with LEGO Indy 1 yesterday Those 2 levels you have on the list were brutal, and I even knew what to expect going into them🥴
lego dimensions and portal are my 2 favorite lego things lol. (the portal games on pc are awesome and some elements like the chambers getting harder in the aperture science level are reminicent of both portal games)
If I remember correctly, in the DS version of the complete saga the Death Star level takes longer, because it takes together the first and the second level into one.
I would appreciate if you did another video ranking all the Lego games. I really like your videos and it has been a year since you did a ranking of all the Lego games and I would like to know where in the ranking The Skywalker Saga would be.
I legit always thought the pod race level was the hardest (I'd played) But I guess my mind was trying to erase the memories of Gunship Cav Lego Star Wars 1 was wild
The first games are always harder, it gets easier overtime as the developers attempt to make the games a little harder but it does the opposite effect, and when they want to make a easy game it turns out to be the hardest, and there it goes
I remember trying to beat the complete saga pod race for a week as a kid and staying home sick one day. i FINALLY beat the level then fell asleep woke up to the continue screen and just being happy.

the hardest lego game i ever played was the lego movie for 3DS; the life system in that game works differently than possibly every other lego game in that when you die, you have to restart the level from the beginning. fortunately there are golden heart pickups that fully restore your health when you touch them
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for the 3DS is the same.
I love the transitions to the next level
Lol love doing my Transitions
For me the hardest level is Mos Espa podrace from LEGO Star Wars the video game
Gunship Cavalry and Free the Slaves were absolutely miserable.
And I too share the pain of that button sequence from the little yellow car.
Bro thanks for the content. The god dang gunship calvary gave me PAIN.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great lego game which one you getting next?
Wow this is incredible! Amazing job!!
Personally I would switch the last 2 levels, because the pod race level was so hard for both me and my sister, that we had to give up. Years later, I finally finished the level, and I was so happy.
Wow that’s surprising.Gunship Cavalry was actually my favorite game as a kid and I remember replaying it more than any other mission.
Omg yes!!!! Being a huge huge LEGO video game fan for life, I know the pain!!
I love your vids I started watching you 6 months ago you deserver more subs for the effort you put in
Thanks dude ! Appreciate it
Honestly really like the original gunship Calvary. Very underrated. Love the content and I got to respect the LotR music 😎

Best Lego RUclipsr
I really enjoyed the video and the funny parts you added. Thank you :)
Thanks dude ;)
Oh the memories 😌
ace chemicals brings back memories I used to play that on my ds
Thanks for the super thanks man ! Ace Chemicals was a great level but waaaaayyyy to long
I’m currently on a mission to 100% all of the games, and I just got finished with LEGO Indy 1 yesterday
Those 2 levels you have on the list were brutal, and I even knew what to expect going into them🥴
The zillo beast brings out so much nostalgia for me.
lego dimensions and portal are my 2 favorite lego things lol. (the portal games on pc are awesome and some elements like the chambers getting harder in the aperture science level are reminicent of both portal games)
The yellow car is the worst man😂
Another brilliant video. Seeing podracing and gunship Cavalry from the first Star Wars game brings back dark memories.
If I remember correctly, in the DS version of the complete saga the Death Star level takes longer, because it takes together the first and the second level into one.
Last level especially the version with the dragging some Bomba to smash turrets...
I would appreciate if you did another video ranking all the Lego games. I really like your videos and it has been a year since you did a ranking of all the Lego games and I would like to know where in the ranking The Skywalker Saga would be.
I legit always thought the pod race level was the hardest (I'd played)
But I guess my mind was trying to erase the memories of Gunship Cav
Lego Star Wars 1 was wild
The first games are always harder, it gets easier overtime as the developers attempt to make the games a little harder but it does the opposite effect, and when they want to make a easy game it turns out to be the hardest, and there it goes
I remember trying to beat the complete saga pod race for a week as a kid and staying home sick one day. i FINALLY beat the level then fell asleep woke up to the continue screen and just being happy.
11:34 I knew you had to put everything down first then you can buy it because I played arcade alot before I finished all the sections
8:23 yeah Same the yellow little vehicle sequence is so freaking obnoxious and frustrating when I played it on Lego Star Wars the complete saga.
can you make a video about lego batman 1 the videogame vs lego batman 2 dc superheroes vs lego batman 3 beyond gotham because i love to see that
Would love to see a ranking of all the bonus levels in Lego games
Everyone who clicked on this video knew that Gunship Cavalry was gonna be 1st.
Your Vids are amazing I wish I had good Internet to make like this
