What i like about your videos so much is your audio training! I can listen to it without watching and it really helps me to prepare for the actual painting! Thank you for all you have taught me
I struggle with contrast because I always fear my paintings turning out too harsh, so I blend everything into oblivion. Watching you make the leaf was such a lesson for me, and everything turned out beautiful as always! Thank you
im dealing with my anxiety disorder with painting. i have always wanted to paint, but since im a full time stay at home, i just couldnt find time. then i say your vids and you inspired me! im hoping someday you could do more tutorials!
It is easy to get over-anxious when you paint. I want my paintings to be perfect, too. Because I'm new to this, I watch a lot of these videos. Sarah Cray said something that makes a lot of sense: "Remember, it's only a piece of paper." That makes it a little easier to get a grip on. Also, I can use the opposite side for swatches and color testing. So, it isn't a complete waste.
I did watercolor back in high school and really enjoyed it and now as an empty-nester I've picked it up again. I spent the last two weekends watching a variety of tutorials and yours, by far, were the most helpful. I"ve learned so much!!! You are an awesome teacher!
The power of layering color! Nice effect on the petals - and I also liked your "reject" sunflower. The extra detailing you did on the center of the flower looked great and I think the bleed of brown into the petals gave it dimension. I appreciate you showing us what you consider your lesser efforts. After a day of painting on my own and tossing out everything I did (total failures) it's nice to know you sometimes create things you don't like. Of course, your rejects are better than my best efforts! Keep these great tutorials coming, please!
Abi Wattai omg, trust me... I create MANY things I don’t like! And that was one of my better reject sunflowers. I must have attempted painting them at least 6 times before I was satisfied... keep at it!
Emma Lefebvre - I love the term “better rejects.” Maybe I can start a series of folders in which to store my paintings - rejects, better rejects, terrible beyond belief rejects! :o) I’ll just keep painting till I can do a few I like.
I was so glad to see your pallet! Why? I was in a watercolor class and criticized for my pallet? I was told it had to be clean. I like the mix of colors. If I didn’t, then I would clean it for light colors. Since then I have anxiety and hesitate painting at all. First was the teacher then others around the class! I love your technique and the results!
I'm a beginner in watercolor painting but ít is always fun to "paint with you". Today i have painted my first sunflower with your tutorial and it is has become really pretty. Thank you.
Love, love, love sunflowers and your rendition of a painted one is soooo beautiful. I can not wait to take the time to try it! Thank you for great tutorials.
Wow beautiful sunflower I was looking for how to paint a sunflower Cause I am a creative girl and a girl who loves art and who is Good at it mine turned out beautiful and perfect just in first place!! And of course as always Sunflower is my favourite flower!! My mom also loved how it turned out for mother's day!! So she framed it!! I love sunflower 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻☀️☀️☀️☀️🌻🌻🌻🌻
I will try these for my daughter's Mother's Day Card (her favorite flower is the Sunflower). Try slowing down when you paint & your words will come out easier. Multi-tasking is not always a good thing. ;-). I hope you are pampered on Mother's Day...as you deserve.
Great tutorial. Practice makes perfect! I'm a newbie and starting from nothing -- and I don't have much talent, but I feel I can learn from you -- you are a good teacher!
As always, this was terrific! I just love your tutuorials. They are perfect for beginners. I just finished all 3 of the complementary colors series and love them. Thank you for these videos 👍🏻
You make it look so easy, Emma. I just started painting this week and tried these sunflowers. I did an okay job on the petals but couldn’t get the centers or the leaves. I’m going to keep trying. Love your tutorials and compositions. Thanks for all you do to help us!
Looks amazing, gonna try it cross your fingers, love your videos you are my favorite person to watch on RUclips and when it comes to watercolor painting ,thank you, god gave you a Beautiful gift
I try to follow you but your final product always looks so much better than mine!! You "slap" a painting together, but the hours of practice you've put in are so apparent!!! You have such pressure control that you can quickly make what you invision, while I'm over here thinking I should go back to crayons and eating sand 😫 lol
My biggest gripe with watercolor tutorials on RUclips is that they don’t tell you what colors they’re using beforehand. Telling me the whole color palette doesn’t help- not everyone has the same paint set. And I have tubes of paint. I’d like to set my paints out just like you before I start. Thanks for your help 🙏
Hi Emma✋ Your tutorials are really awesome..🤩 Instructing step by step gives us confident to do it... Have learnt lot of techniques from you.. Thanks a lot for sharing your skill.. wish for a tutorial on unicorn.. 🦄
Would you be able to list out the name of the colours you use for each tutorial? It'd be useful to know so I can have it all ready before I start painting :)
Renee Cassese I am honestly so unorganized.. it’s embarrassing. I have two wall folder things. One has paintings that have yet to be scanned and one of just random paintings. I really need to figure out a system lol
You've soared in your confidence level, Emma! These are fantastic, as were the ones you created in your fall bouquet tutorial too. We learn right alongside you. You really need to check into patreon here on youtube. For a mere $2 a month charge from your loyal subscribers, you can have a tidy little income, create your own brand. (which you're already doing). You're very very good, Emma. Time to rise to the next level in your watercolor career. Seriously. check into it. I'd LOVE to give you $2 a month and more!

I love the way the dark bled into the flower, it looks cool!

Just got into water painting and wanted to do sun flowers... your tutorial was great! Thank you!

Thank you for this. My flowers turned out ok-ish but the leaves! Oh. They. Are. Awful! 😂 I really appreciate your step by step instructions.

My stepmoms bday is tomorrow so I’m painting her a sunflower! Her fav flower
Wonderful lesson! Do you do daffodils.?
Very nice...just what I want, a quick loose hand that gives such a lovely result. Love your imperfect perfect way and you make it look so relaxed.
Emma could you please do a class on how to paint a Yorkshire Terrier. ( black and rust color). I know your interpretation would be amazing. Thanks.
Thank you! 🌻🌻🌻
After you’ve mixed colors for a particular painting, do you clean your pans before you start another?
thankyou soo much! I really enjoyed this and it turned out really nice 😁
Love this. Thank you. 😊🌸
So beautiful

Thanks for sharing this. Which Arches weight paper do you use - 300g not?
Beautiful! Tfs. Hugs, Dee xox
I am new to this, what brand of paint are you using?
As always a fabulous video, fun to watch and I learn so much. I see you paint of loose pages. How do you store your paintings? Do you bind them?
Renee Cassese I am honestly so unorganized.. it’s embarrassing. I have two wall folder things. One has paintings that have yet to be scanned and one of just random paintings. I really need to figure out a system lol
@@EmmaLefebvre I say whatever works. I am sometimes too organized so perhaps somewhere in between us is a good place :)
Beautiful! At least I can enjoy looking at yours, being that this 🤐 groundhog has eaten all if my real ones!
im going to try today

I kinda like the other one you showed us.
That was good. I have painted sunflowers yesterday. They were okay but the greenery ruined the look of my picture. Shame.
Way too fast for a beginner to follow
This artist goes to fast. I know I can push pause but even so...the pace is too fast with very little technique help.
