Searching for using Forscan to change the brake fluid on my Fiesta brought me here. I've just changed the brake fluid using this method. Thanks Steve! Been watching your other videos too - a great channel, mate! Keep up the good work.
Well that's opened my eyes mate great to know you can now bleed your brakes on your own great upload carn't wait to see how the pads and lines perform 👌
thanks dude, i always forget about my Forscan when i work on my fords. typically just grab my autel, but it hasnt done anything to clear my ABS pump of air since i changed the master cylinder. curious how you got air into the ABS pump just by changing the brake lines at the wheel....
Hi Steve, great video. A question, when I select ABS bleed in Forscan it goes directly to a procedure to bleed the ABS system, I does not give me the menu to select the component that has been replaced, I have a 2017 FiST, do you know what I should do in order get that menu and to bleed the brakes per wheels basis?
Hi, I've seen nobody uses the tool so to pressurise the brake fluid reservoir at 1-2 Bar during the bleeding process. Do you think it is unnecessary? Could the misuse of that tool cause stress to the abs pump during the bleeding without it?
I tried to perform the procedure on the New Fiesta SE 1.6 130cv 2013/2014. However, it informs that it is only possible in vehicles that are equipped with TCS or ESP. My vehicle has TCS and ESP. Would you know how to inform me even having the requirements is not possible to perform the procedure ? Thanks.
Hi Steve, i wanted to ask you what ELM327 adapter you used and where you got it from.I would like to buy one as well to use Forscan on our fiesta. I watch all your uploads and look forward to the next one thanks Daz.
After replacing the brake pads on a 07 Explorer, the rear driver side brake pulses at what looks like a pulse per tire revolution. I hear the pulse all the way from the front to the back and feel it on the caliper and see the hose moving. Only when braking, no DTC codes or lights on. What could cause this? Anybody can help me? My guess is a faulty ABS module but not sure. Thank you for sharing on your channel Steve, awesome video. You gained a subscriber.
Correct me if I'm wrong? I still can bleed brakes fluid by old fashioned way BUT only fluid in reservoir and brake lines will be changed. The fluid trapped inside ABS/ESP will be still the OLD one ?! Y/N ?
hi steve , could you do a quick vid on how to get to the part of forscan that you can actuvate the abs for the break bleed ,please i need to do mine , i didnt now it could be done with forscan
Might seem like a silly question still new to my st but I want to top up my brake fluid how do I get the brake fluid in when there's a plastic seal blocking it
You learn something everyday wow, didnt relize that brakes could be done like that, abs pump sounded like i was going to blow up lol. I wonder if this is possible method on other cars like vauxhall? Do you have a link for the forskin software please, genuine one not a scammy ebay one. cheers.
hi steve, excellent video, do you mean that after bleeding the brakes the old-fashioned way, is it necessary to use the forscan to get air out of the abs? I did the process but I don't have the forscan and my car now has the spongy brakes (fiesta st 2017 )
Has anyone noticed that as of June '22 the bleed service procedure has changed in Forscan? Trying to bleed my Fiesta like the video and it has a totally different set of instructions. It doesn't allow you to select which wheel to bleed anymore and it makes you sit in the car and hold the brake at certain intervals. It didn't seem to push very much fluid out at the caliper. Anyone know what the hell happened? I think I'm going to have to buy a new adapter for my power bleeder for this car.
@@kostys550gt2 I have since learned that this feature was never available in Forscan for North American Fiestas. Power Bleeder is the way to go. The procedure I talked about in the original comment is for bleeding the ABS pump.
@@sjhart14 It's weird. There are some NA cars that have it available. Fiesta STs. I attempted it, wasn't sure which caliper it was doing second so I cancelled the procedure. Did a manual bleed with my fiancé pushing the pedal lol

Thank you.
How much fluid did you used? And how much cycles did you run per wheel to make sure is new fluid coming out. Thanks
Love that no more shouting at the misses on off on off lol 👍👍
Last time I had the wife helping she had her foot in the clutch.🙈
@@Sparkplugsteve 😂😂
I caught mine pumping someone else's brakes.
Use a clear hose so you can see if there is any bubbles coming out 😉

Good video Steve. I'll be doing the same shortly before my track day, upgraded discs, pads, braided lines and fluid.
Always good content Steve love all the different things that you bring out in your videos
Thanks very much.
Thanks for that 👍 New to ForScan & will be trying this on the Transit Custom.
Now that is the best use of a laptop I have ever seen. I wish my car would let me do that. Nice

I thought you were kidding using clickbait "bleed using my laptop" - that's mint! Fair play :D

Did you ever find a resolution to this?
Well yah learn something new every day! Wow. Thanks
I only found out it was possible a few moths back. Blew my mind
Spark Plug Steve it’s a great way to use the ABS pump ,
Really helpful video, thank you!
Steve I’m guessing bleeding with forscan is better than the old up down with the pedal?....
Yes it is, I Had a problem with trapped air in the abs pump Thay normal pedal pumping could not shift.
Great job! I'm looking forward to use this method to change brake fluid in my Mondeo mk5. I've got elm and forscan so is worth to try it.
Best Regards
Interesting video Steve 👍

Used to have to plug my Fabia in to bleed brakes because of the abs pump and als adjust the headlamps. Not sure if that's... Progress....?
Can I use this method just to change brake fluid for new?

@Spark Plug Steve Did you use almost 3 full bottles to do the Forscan Assisted Flush?
Been a long time since i did this but no I definitely didn't use 3 bottles

Haha. Hope I didn't hurt him much.
It's ok you got plenty of subscribers
Yep another epic useful video steve, use forscan myself great program....keep them coming 🤓👌
Thanks Dean.
No more having to keep pressing the brake pedal and someone watching to see the air bubbles.
I have a question boss!! need internet connection forscan for can do that process ?
Did this procedure require a pressurized brake bleeder? Opinions on online forums differ.
The proper way is yes it needs a pressure bleeder but it still works without

Can u do more vids showing how to use forscan to do things
I'm no expert on it to be honest. But I'm sure there's plenty already in youtube.

Yes I did. Just fitted it today.
Need instruction on how to bleed brake using forscan,
why didn't you use the option change BRAKE FLUID ?
Between these two, what is the difference?

I found out it's avaliable for other models too. Nice job anyway 👍

What id tube do I need to fit on the nipple?

Is Forscan free or can you link where to download it? Thanks
You can her it in trial for free. To be honest I. Had a subscriber send me links to Set it up so I can't explain how It's done as it was done for me.

weres the pump connected
There is no pump. The ABS-Block is pumping the break fluid.
@@Darelumga ahh right ok get it now thankyou bud
That noise you can hear is the pump. You might be able to see the brake lines from inside your engine bay running from the ABS housing/pump.
