    I should have mentioned that all the Nikon Z7 in camera lens corrections were turned on for the test sample shots.
    I can’t wait to get out more with this lens in the field, waterfalls, landscape, seascape, astro, time lapse - bring it 😋 🤙🙏

    Pretty amazing results for a budget lens. Stars were sharp right up into those corners. Thx for the review.

    Awesome!.. can you a comparison between this viltrox 16mm and the nikon 20mm f1.8 S? Really curious to see how the images compare.

    Nice review and I would need add to my wish list. I am very happy with the Viltrox 20mm and 85mm.

    VILTROX 16mm 1.8 is such a great lens, it seems. Your video presentations made me subscribe last week, and I am happy that I did.
    I pre ordered the Laowa 10mm 0 distortion f2.8 lens, and now this lens shows up. I had the VILTROX 13mm 1.4 lens on my XH2, and it was always on the camera.
    In tight spaces like the New York City subway station platform taking a photo of out of town family members against the wall that said 5th Avenue was impossible.
    I needed a wider angle lens to get a shot or step back and fall onto the rail tracks, lol. The Laowa 10mm would achieve this aledgedly without distortion wide open.

    Thanks for your critique Adrian.............I'm looking forward to seeing some core shots with this lens. Currently I'm using the Nikkor 20mm f1.8 on a Z8, but there are a number of occasions when you need that extra width. Many thanks again.........Ps, it's always good to see the Southern Cross 😁

      Thanks David. I see your point re not having enough width in the frame. And I guess you can always crop in a little if you couldn't be bothered changing lenses. Next new moon here is early June so fingers crossed for some clear skies and I'll be heading out with this Viltrox. Thanks for watching 🙏

    Thanks for the follow on video, the corners look great on those astro shots. You sure know you're in the southern hemisphere when you see the Southern Cross!

    Awesome Adrian - I hope you got to have a play with the recent aurora activity that could be seen further north than where you are. It would be brilliant for that by the looks. Enjoy it.

    • @adrianalfordphotography
      @adrianalfordphotography  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks Denise. No chance of aurora here. Maybe further southern states. As much chance of aurora here as snow falling.

      @@adrianalfordphotography normally yes - I heard some as far north as Townsville were spotting it!! It was a big one. Saw some who'd captured it out on the Downs. It was nuts.

    • @adrianalfordphotography
      @adrianalfordphotography  6 месяцев назад +1

      No. Too far north in my country to see it. People in southern states saw it though.

    Answering your question, it´s the southern cross.
