I was diagnosed with streptococcus pneumonia. Nothing seems to be working. I am now on Amox/Clav 1000/62.5 mg ER extended release, 2 tablets twice a day. This is my fourth round of antibiotics and I have had four rounds of prednisone and my doctor only did a sputum test because I INSISTED on one. No one showed me my x-ray results but said it showed pneumonia. The coughing is atrocious. This is been going on for 9 weeks and getting worse. Minimal fever a couple of weeks ago. Tonight my feet ankles are very swollen. I'm worried about the swelling and long-term side effects on my heart. Any suggestions doctor? Thanks for the video.
Sputum results said streptococcus pneumonia heavy growth and candida albicans scant growth.
Report just said gram-positive.
