I'm kidding, this is an animation which I made, thanks to everyone for the attention and praise it has received.
Thanks to Hans Van Harken and Josh Tomar for voicing Ozymandias and Bubastis respectively. All other voices, singing, music and animation by yours truly.

Lyrics:
Strong together, united forever
They're the best of friends
But when troubles about, you'd best watch out
For the Watchmen!
Nite Owl is their leader
And he loves to party down
Rorschach's friends to the animals...
"Yeah, when he's not clowning around"
"I'm nutty!"
Beat up some thugs, say no to drugs
Be in bed by 10
But if troubles about, you'd best watch out
For the Watchmen!
Silk Spectres a sensation
You should really never miss
The Comedian's her biggest fan now...
"If I could only get that kiss!"
Ozy and Bubastis - a couple o'
Crimesolving superstars
Jon can give you cancer
and he'll turn into a car
Strong together, united forever
Come and meet your friends
Have no fear, times up, times here
For the Watchmen!
WATCH OUT!
In 2009, the Watchmen movie came out. I was 6 years old and I remember my dad telling me how much he loved them when he was a teenager. It’s clear to me now that he was referring to the comics but when he looked them up to show me, this cartoon came up. For ten years I’ve believed this cartoon was real, and now watching it again a decade later, I realized I’m a fucking idiot.
Yep
You were born in 2003 yet have the profile picture of a 40 year old balding Mario?
I forgive you, the video really replicates the look of a Saturday morning cartoon.
@@aaronbrown8377 It's obviously his dad.
Aaron Brown i dont know why i laughed so hard at that
My favorite episode was the one where Rorschach taught the Police about fire safety
Kings of Comedy hahaha then the season ended by him getting arrested cuz the police were corrupt
Thank god it was only moloch mind controlling the police!
Be cool about fire safety!
How come no one talked about that Valentine’s Day episode where Comedian finally got that kiss from Silk Specter
George Baynard because it wasn’t a kiss from silk specter, it was a kiss from dr Manhattan disguising himself as silk specter so he can find out what love is.
"And all the poor, wounded souls of this city will cry, 'Save us!' And I will shout, 'You betcha!'"
Rorschach, The Return of Rorschach (1982)
That was such a moving line
Followed by, "I'm nutty!"
A classic
Remember the episode when Dr. Manhattan, Dr. Manhattan, and Dr. Manhattan all learned about the importance of teamwork when they worked together to cheer up Silk Spectre? A classic!
Or the origin story of how Rorschach first met Fred and Barney? One of the best "boy and his dog" stories ever told.
@Roland Fraser A classic!
My favorite is when comedian spills bean juice on his smiley face button
Truly a work of pure genius
Yeah she became Sulk Spectre on that episode.
I LOVED this show! My favorite episode is when Ozymandias learns that lying to your friends is wrong
I loved the episode where comiedian learns what he can't do to get a kiss from specter
my favorite episode is when Ozymandias gives the Comedian a flying lesson.
Gabriel Murr I liked the episode where john taught Rorschach particle displacement.
That part where he realized that tattling on your friends is bad was the best.
If you count the movie (The real one, not the shit reboot) Then that's the best in my opinion, Ozzy gets bored and decides to do something fun (As you normally would). He decides to make a bomb, now the team thinks that it's a great way to attack the enemy, but John, by mistake, gives him cancer, then when Ozzy finds that he has cancer, he goes ape-shit and detonates the bomb. Then everyone fucking dies. The end. But Silk escapes to another diemention, then that John fucking rapes her.
My favourite was the Christmas special where they had to teach Dr. Manhattan the true meaning of Christmas
Xenotherium Subservilia I personally prefer the second Christmas special, where The Comedian had to help save Christmas after he beat up Santa, and he took Nite Owl's owl copter as a sled.
Xenotherium Subservilia "I understand now, Laurie. The birth of Jesus was a thermodynamic miracle, like oxygen spontaneously becoming gold. It was the crowning unlikelihood."
"You said it, Jon! Now, who's up for some RADICAL Christmas Pizza?"
Blue Laser We should write at least five seasons of this
gtactwit The best part about the internet is that five seasons worth of material could be written in a couple of days.
UltimateHammerBro And critically acclaimed as the greatest thing ever.
"Rorschach's friends to the animals"
Yep, they're such good friends, they play dead for him.
I JUST caught that reference to the dogs....
It might have been a lil bit better if he had them play fetch and a moment later one of the dogs playfully retrieves the item and brings it back to Rorschach, then it shows the item is a large cartoon femur bone.
To be fair, those dogs were from the no-good big bad Mr. Grice, who give other German Sheppards a bad name
Bruce Waite You mean the dogs that he killed that belong to the guy who kidnapped and killed a 6 year old girl than gave the remains to the dogs.
Play? Lol.
I love how even in this parody where it's tamed for children, Comedian is still a certified creep
I mean tbf, as long as they didnt have him still be her dad, his creepiness wouldve been pretty standard for saturday morning superhero cartoons. which definitely isn't a high bar but still
He's Johnny Bravo in this 😂
"The best adaptation"
-Alan Moore.
Only Dave Gibbons said he liked it, Alan Moore has never commented on this.
his favourite is *Justice League Unlimited S1 Ep2 : For the Man Who Has Everything*
Barnaby Jones No i think alan moore saw this and Said this pretty funny
@@barnabyjones692 you sure?
I would not be surprised if he actually said so, since, to willingly INVERT all of the inherent tropes of the Graphic Novel in a few seconds of animation the author must have studied if far more deeply than the movie crew ever did...
I loved the episode "Doomsday Clock" where they had a crossover with Super Friends
That was after it jumped the shark for me but it's still good stuff
So THAT'S what inspired the comic version!
The animator should do this one too
Underrated comment
Yah that episode rocked!!!!
.......... so THIS is what Moore sees in his Nightmares.
Nah. Turns out he watched this and thought it was hilarious.
Sean Drum Ah. I see... still.
when?
No... That'd be Saturday Morning V for Vendetta
don't you mean a NightMoore?
I liked the episode where Hooded Justice taught the Comedian the importance of personal space.
I also love the episode where he teaches him about trusting the system! And don't forget about how the police are always your friends! Best closing line EVER
@@shaggyspade2468 I love the episode where hooded justice helps comedian buckle his belt!
His musical act with Sexual Harassment Panda was great
And who could forget when Hooded Justice learned about the value of friendship and went on to spend a lot of quality bonding time with his very best friend Captain Metropolis?
Has anyone heard about the adaptation Alan Moore did based on this TV show? It was an extremely dark graphic novel, and wasn't as lighthearted as the show.
I hate it when that happens
Ritzzngiggles
Yeah, talk about infidelity to source material...
TheSecondR Yeah, who the hell does Moore think he is?
Tell me you're joking about this...
Sowmonkey27 Do you really they're that stupid? Some people need sarcasm detectors.
The most inspiring episode was when Nite Owl finally learned that, no matter how much life brings you down, you always find a way to get up. It was thanks to Silk Spectre in his ship.
Oh.......
@@Mrenderboyo Yes, indeed lol. It really be THAT kind of joke. XD
sometimes it can be so hard, though
She gave him and old fashion and more
@Kevin Byrnes you're thinking of her mom
My favorite episode is the one where Ozymandias taught the team about non-linear thinking, and demonstrated how a seemingly impossible problem can be solved if you try approaching it from a different angle. It's right up there with the one where he taught them about time management: Why wait until the last minute to do something when you could have done it thirty-five minutes ago?
Although not my favourite episode, the lessons Ozymandias gave in it have stuck with me ever since. It truly was an exceptional series. It's such a pity it's pretty much forgotten now.
@@2thinkcritically I know. This clip is all I could find from it
And when Rorchach wrote that book about Stranger Danger.
Ah yes, the timeless classic, "Gordian Knot My Problem".
My favorite line from him to the gang right before the credits rolled was
"Guys! I'm not some COMIC BOOK VILLAIN" everyone was in uproarious laughter. While some of its jokes were a little too corny. I genuinely think that one was the peek of the writing
Of course, in my opinion, the best episode was 'Snow Day', where Manhattan and Rorschach are having a snowball fight, then Manhattan throws one too hard and Rorschach gets a bloody nose and starts crying. The lessons were great in that one; Jon learned the importance of knowing his own strength, and Rorschach learned how important compromise is!
I wanted to give Rorshach a hug when he cried.
Where do I find all these episodes? I’m curious about them. Does anyone have a website or is this just the intro I’m seeing?
@@tiawhitney1994bro… it’s just a joke this video is a parody of the Saturday morning cartoons and all are joking if it was a real cartoon
Fun fact, Moore actually loves this shit so much it's the only adaptation he's officially given his blessing to
Bahlte Bruva along with jlu about superman's birthday
Its also the most comic accurate 😂
It's parody that understands the story and makes fun of it
I think those are both myths.
@James Fitzpatrick or that he admitted that he watched it in the first place
Rorschach saying “I’m nutty” is everything to me.
Doesn’t he say “I’m naughty” ?
@@gandalfstormcrow7943 lol no.

Probably the only comic character ever to be far more morose and gritty and serious than even batman or wolverine. So I'm reminded of a joke meme I saw once, of a happy upbeat batman meeting a cheerful wolverine. I think I might have seen it on deviantart several years ago.
Ayo Cory & The Marsquatch pfp
My favourite episode is the one where Silk Spectre Says: "If someone tries to touch you in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, that's no good!"
Thank goodness the Comedian was there to save her.

Ikr. It knew how to handle serious subject matter without going too far
@@hagros93 ya plus the animaton was just like the panels, so soft, smooth and friendly looking!

I heard they made a Dark and Gritty live action Movie version of this show
+Dave Tarone It was shit.
+MrSafior from Zack Synder...
I tried to watch a 3 hour version of it online but that fight between comedian and ozzy was honestly corny and I lost interest in seeing it. I have seen most of it before but it didn't seem anything special.
But what do you expect from a director whose only good movie was 300 and makes creative decisions based on "well it looks cool".
WATCHMEN is better off as an HBO miniseries.
+Stagskull no I think they made a gritty comic based on this classic kids show
Stagskull

It was a joke.
Dave Tarone dang it! They ruined my childhood
Lol
i won't ever forget the first time i saw "Rorschach's Journal". when Jon snuck into Rorschach's room to read his journal, and Rorschach caught him, it was such a heartbreaking scene. and their big argument truly hit me hard (Rorschach calling Jon a "big blue jerk" was shocking, given how family-friendly the show had been previously). of course, Ozymandias resolved their argument peacefully, but i'd lie if i said i didn't still cry at the scene of Jon apologising to Rorscach, and the two hugging it out.
And jon blew up rorschachs bowl of cranberry sauce!!
That stuff is beautiful
I dont remember Jon apologized i remember he made rorschach in freakin kebab
Jon " can I hug you "
Rorshach " do it "
Such a touching scene, Dan was in tears.
The episode where Rorschach was asked to find a missing little girl and was about to give up hope when he met the two German Shepherds who helped him find her, but then one of the dogs got hurt badly by the mean kidnapper and Rorschach was devastated and rushed the dog to Pet ER but the dog was okay in the end. Such a feels episode, showed us how much Rorschach truly loved animals.
And I love how he gifted the bad guy a chainsaw to prove that they can be friends, and he gifted him a furnace because he was always cold during the winter at his house. Loved it .
Omg I love that episode it might be why Rorschach is my favorite character. I was especially moved by the episode after that where Rorschach is sad because he learned that the kidnapper took the little girl only because he always wanted a daughter for himself, and afterwards feels like he mightve scolded him too hard, and he learns that mental health is important, you cant beat yourself up for doing what you thought is right, and its a top priority to take care of yourself, and its okay to talk about your feelings and his therapist gifts him a rorschach shaped like two german shepards afterwards to look back on and always remind him of his two best buddies and that its okay to talk things out with a therapist 🥺
God dammit i need a kid friendly kid show version of watchmen so badly named “watchkids” or smth

A very special episode about why animals need oxygen

Should of been called Rorschach dairy
The accumulated noise of all our clowning and juggling will swirl around our party and the neighbours will shout "keep it down" and I will whisper "no"
"'But Doctor, I AM the juggling clown.' Good joke."
In the when Rorschach mom married another man and all the guys needs to make him understand that love is important and you shouldn’t be mad just because you fear was really good. Love the ship that generates out of it with him and his landlord. A wonderful episode .
I remember the segment called "Rorschach sez" where Rorschach gave us advices. For example, once he taught us how dangerous a fryer with boiling oil could be
Or the one where he told us why being a prisoner is bad by giving big figure and his men mercy flushes
Remember the rorshach mothers day special?
That one saved me a nasty burn
The best part about this is that this cartoon basically exists in-universe. Alan Moore already made this joke with that excerpt of Veidt's correspondence with his media team about an Ozymandias cartoon that was designed to sell toys of himself.
Remember the "Very special" episode where Rorschach warns Moloch about taking medicine he shouldn't take?
How can I forget? That ending with Ozymandias was something else. Wish more "Very Special Episodes" were of that same caliber.
That was so heartbreaking
Yeah it was good, but my favorite Rorschach episode is when he discussed the consequences of fried food.

@TheLuigifan8881 I think they changed their minds and made it a real series but I could be wrong
Didn't that come from that one episode where Jon accidentally teleported them back in time, and they all became pirates and helped a man lost at sea get home?
That was honestly too dark for this show tbh
I can’t believe how griddy this innocent franchise became!
I mean c’mon, killing off the Comedian? Rorschach being all Batman like?
What were they thinking?
Don’t even start me on those new graphic novels, and live action show!
Don’t forget how they changed almost everything in the reboot like come on
He's called the Comedian I don't see why they needed to make him a cynical villain. He should be making us laugh!
I cannot belive rorschach killed his two dog friends in movie version what the frck why would snyder do that
I’m tired of studios making beloved childhood memories and turning them to dark and edgy reboots.
Ugh and it's gross how they turned the Comedian's crush into his own daughter in the reboot movie. Snyder is a sick man.
I remember this. There is also a creepypasta about a lost episode written by Alan Moore. It had something to do with an alien squid thing and the murder of the Comedian. It was so graphic that Jim Cummings almost gave up on voice acting.
Can we not talk about lost episode creepypastas for The Watchmen? Sheesh, buncha tryhard edgelord shitheels trying to take our childhoods and make them dark and gritty... first Spongebob and now The Watchmen? IS NOTHING SACRED TO THESE ASSHOLES?!
I just mentioned it because it was only the episodes written by Alan Moore. Rumor is, his "lost episodes" discouraged him from pursuing a Watchmen movie. Not many people believe this, Alan Moore regretted this show because he said it was and I quote "Conservative garbage filled with liberal filth." and "farthest from my vision." He almost gave up on writing. I still like it tho.
Really! That’s terrible!
Fuck Allan Moore
The episode where they fought the giant squid was my favorite episode.
I miss this show. I love the episode where Dollar Bill loses his cape in the revolving door and everyone has to cheer him up. There's also the nice one where they go to Maine to visit Mothman in hospital and he learns the importance of not drinking too much soda.
And the fact that they had a soda-relapse episode shows that they take this stuff seriously
The fact they had short "MinuteMen!" segments at the end of each episode with the look and feel of a 60s cartoon - used to weird me out as a kid but now they're my favorite part.
@@poposterous236 The prequel series with them wasn’t all that interesting tho, they were better handled in the shorts from the OG cartoon
This is exactly what I envisioned when they mentioned an "Ozymandias cartoon" in the book.
No lie. I'm watching this because of the cartoon being referenced.
God, I loathe what Zack Synder did to my beloved Saturday Morning cartoon!
He turned the friendly and wacky cartoon teaching about friendship and kindness into a ultra dark and gritty film!!!
I mean sure Rorschach can be loony at time but he is NOT A psychopath and it was completely out of character of him to murder that dog (and hurting those thugs)! Same apply to the other characters like Ozymandia would NEVER sacriface Bubastis like that and Dr Manhatten loved humanity!!!

eldospinks remember that episode where Ozymandias helps a kid believe in himself so that he can win the spelling bee? I tear up at that episode every time.
TomboTime That one was no way near as good as the episode where nite owl was supposed to go on a date with the silk spectre, and play the new nintendo with comedian and ozymandias, so he had to keep leaving suddenly to spend equal time with everyone.
eldospinks I remember that episode. The ending was the best part. Jon gave all the Washington Generals cancer, turned into a car, ramped off Curly Joe's back from mid-court, and hit a buzzer-beating slam dunk to win the game. Unfortunately, Ozy and Bubastis were busy scarfing hot dogs at the concession stand, so they missed the whole thing! Will those two ever learn?
On a related note, Netflix seriously needs to get their act together. They have some bizarre spinoff Watchmen movie made in 2009, but not a single episode of the classic cartoon. Sorry, guys - no one wants to watch that direct-to-DVD reboot garbage. We want to see the original characters that we fell in love with in the first place.

+2thinkcritically Actually it was Season 3 Episode 4. You're confusing it with Season 2 episode 9 where The Comedian did stand up when Nixon was with the audience and said some jokes about him. Well, deep inside, very deep inside, HJ and Captan Metropolis were best friends; those arguments were a form not to admit it, anyway, it was very funny to watch

There were a few loose ends, though. They never properly explained where Silhouette went. She was there in one flashback episode, but gone in another.☹
The greatest irony of this is that it's one of the few adaptations of Watchmen that does something creative with the source material while simultaneously serving as an accurate reflection of the source material from which it stems.

I was soooooo disappointed that the long-promised Watchmen / Captain Planet team-up never took place. I mean, the script is just sitting there, couldn't they adapt it into a comic book or something? And did anyone catch the glimpse of Jem and the holograms lurking backstage in the season 2 episode where Silk Spectre was on tour (the one where they battled the Phantom of the Rockapalooza)?
Mike Mitchell Captain Planet go put back because of the Judge Dredd team up
I think they were actually lawyer-safe expys. There was some sort of legal wrangle going on.
What are you talking about? The Captain Planet crossover was made and it was amazing. Remember how it was all about the planeteirs traveling back in time and meeting the watchmen and they decided to start recycling, and then pass a law to where evil people that polluted the world got a slap on the wrist.
my BDCU watchmen will have a justice league like team up and they will interact with my BDCU justice league
1:08 so Ozymandias' plan is to throw the Comedian through the window just so he can save him. Smartest man in the world folks
MightyBlader 777 he also did a speed of light costume change
OctoAnimates s m a r t e s t m a n i n t h e w o r l d!
It made more sense in the episode, and Ozy didn't mean to push Comedian. I never did like that bit of the opening, it made best boy look bad.
@@octoNG I mean if he can catch a bullet with his bare hands, I'm sure he can change like the flash.
@@ischeele7203 Man I didn't see that episode, my dvd was scratched....
what i really hated about this show was how predictable it was at times, i mean it was either the Reds, big oil or the topknots causing trouble. i have no idea why they thought the Top Knot gang as the main antagonists for the Watchmen was a good idea, they always jobbed so hard it was unbelievable.
I also really hated the constant shipping wars between whether John, Nite Owl or the Comdian should end up with Silk Spectre. Especially considering the Comedian was old enough to be the Silk Spectre's father, gross.
Oh yeah, every time John turned into a car and the guys got inside of him, he was always grumbling to himself about how "I wish one of these days I could get inside of YOU guys, for a change." like a running joke. Then there was that one time that Silk Specter got inside him, alone, and he said it as usual but with a smile and a wink, "One of these days I wish I could get inside YOU, girl~".
It's amazing all the adult jokes that the animators managed to get past the radar in that show!
GNerdful Yes it was formulaic, but you have to remember that this was aimed at children. I mean honestly when I watched it as a kid I didn't even understand what was going on half the time. It's easy to let nostalgia get in the way of common sense, but everything seems dated when you look back at it with a more enlightened perspective, too. The show was ahead of its time in many ways, with its environmental awareness, etc. Though I could have done without the stupid Ozymandias PSAs. I mean, seriously, who needs to be TOLD to turn off their waffle irons until the next time they need to use them?
TheFounderUtopia some people do need to be told hat. .believe you me :)
GNerdful Remember Moloch? He was a cool villain, too bad they didn't use him as often.
FangX39
Do I remember Moloch?! Dude, that guy was one of my favorites. He pretty much INVENTED the modern anti-villain character.
The episode where the Reds stole a shipment of canned beans and Rorschach got falsely fingered for the crime? I swear the note that came with the evidence tape that exonerated Rorschach was in Moloch's handwriting. The two of them were working together the whole time; I just know it.
I laughed my ass off at the part with Rorschach and the dogs.
Oh, so much irony in this video. Those who've read the book or watched the movie will know what I'm talking about.
Hahahha the split head dogs!
Especial since Ozymandias is American
BrokenMoonStudios This is even better than canon.
BrokenMoonStudios This is even better than canon.
Kazuya Prota technically this could be canon since in the watchmen universe there was a plan to make a kid friendly watchmen animated show
My fave ep is either the one where Rorschach showed us how humanely people are treated in the prison system, or the one where the Comedian taught us about birth-control...
Strange seeing birth-control in a children's cartoon
BROOOOOOOO
@@hagros93 probably a PSA
Man, I still remember when The Comedian and Dr.Manhattan beat the crap outta the dirty Reds of the Viet Cong with nothing but punches and flying unicorns!
They even had a barbecue while still in Vietnam after their mission lol.
And then Alan Moore woke up.
Screaming
Christian charles No he like it
And he wept, recognizing the potential for a great kid's franchise that he squandered.
My favorite episode was when Rorshach gave that one dude a hot oil massage.
That one was weird. Classic Rorschach though. He's so nutty!
@@hagros93 It had a nice message though. Can't remember the exact dialogue, but didn't Rorschach reassure a bunch of the dude's friends that "we're all in this together" or something? What a guy!
@@CaptainPedant LOLLLL
This is a million times funnier now that I've finally gotten around to watching the movie.
A billion times funnier if you read the graphic novel also
A trillion times funnier if you were actually one of the watchmen.
magmablock I watched this before I read the comic, and I was like "This is so funny Harry!" Then I read the comic and watched this again and I was like "You are fucking sick Harry! There is something wrong with you, Harry! Still really funny though, Harry!"
Furious Freeman Rorschach *LOVES* animals!
Alpha Zalgo Yeah don't you know the episode Rorschach had to help a little girl watch her neighbor's German Shepards. It was like, the best episode!
My favorite episode is where Ozzy and Bubastis gave calamari to the sick and homeless. It was so heart warming.
I loved the crossover episode with "V the Fireworks Superhero" in the Guy Fawke's Day special.
StarkillerRX Rafael Or the crossover with "Wholesome City"
The Valentines special crossover with 'League of Radical Dudes' was my fave, Ozy nerding out over Orlando and Orlando giving him a nostalgic Valentine card and kiss on the cheek before The Watchmen had to go back to their dimension was soo cute! ^_^
I loved Eddie’s cultural exchange adventures, especially when he volunteered at a Vietnam burn ward and fell in love with a local woman there.
That was such a sweet story line, I love how they ended it, promising to see each other again every year!
Does anyone else remember when Silk Spectre and Rorschach talked about AIDS? That was a weird episode.
Not as weird as the one where they travelled back in time to tell young Rorschach about "no-touching". His mum in that episode was such a sweetheart, though.
This might just be the best parody of anything ever. Hard to think of a skit nailing something as well as this did. Amazing!
Alan Moore just set his beard on fire after watching this, lol
+Farscryer0 Actually, this is the only adaptation he approves of xD
Literally cried laughing after seeing this comment lmfao, but if he watches or watched this he probably would
+Levi Everaerts Wait REALLY X'D!?
I know Dave approved of it, but Alan too?!
AtrocityEquine That's the word!
+Farscryer0
That's just his way of putting a curse on Hollywood, the man is a wizard after all.
I love how Ozymandias saves The Comedian from his death
That was easily the best episode of the cartoon. I hate how Zack Snyder twisted it in that movie reboot.
@@dantheman8103 I know... It was so awful seeing an iconic friendship ruined like that! :(
I remember my favourite episode; the one where Ozymandias tripped Moloch over in his kitchen and then told everyone it was Rorschach's fault. Poor Rorschach looked so sad when everybody got angry with him and I was so happy when Ozzy was forced to admit the truth to everybody and Rorschach ultimately forgave everyone. It truly made me appreciate the fact that Rorschach was truly the heart of the Watchmen.
OMG this show was my childhood, my favorite episode is when Rorschach goes to look for the missing little girl and is able to save her from that creepy guy and his dogs and teaches her that you should never talk to strangers and he adopts those dogs and gives them a better home.
I liked the one where Rorschach and his new friend got a new deep fryer.
*The Good Ending*
Man, I remember this show. My favorite part was always those Rorschach PSA's they did sometimes. Remember the one where he taught us never to put an aerosol can near a lighter cause it turns into a fucking flamethrower? Scared the crap out of me as a kid. Good thing this show warned us about dangerous stuff like that, someone could have gotten hurt! Imagine if the police were trying to catch some psycho and they used that trick?
vsGoliath I liked the one where Laurie and Eddie tell us to say no to smoking. And the one where Rorschach teaches us how to approach and treat dogs.
How about that one PSA where Adrian told us the usefulness of cyanide pills?
PandaBrawler Everytime I reread Watchmen I notice something I hadn’t previously. You just made me realize the pills Moloch were taking called Laetril contained cyanide which was promoted decades ago as a cancer cure. This foreshadows the fate of Roy Chess.
Such an important part of the cartoon. My personal favourite was Rorschach demonstrating safety with deep fryers. Remember, kids: DO wear an apron, DO make sure you're aware that hot fat can spit, and DON'T leave hot fat unattended, DON'T fry wet food because it'll make the fat sputter, and DON'T dump the contents of the pan in another guy's face!
@@slacknhash My mom could have used that deep fryer PSA when she had some hot oil splash into her eye a few weeks ago and instead of running it through cold water for at least 15min she just put ice on it.
Rorschach: Remember run your eyes through cold water for at least 15 min and call for help through a friend who can take you, or 911.
My Favorite episode is the first one in season 7, where Rorschach gets the advice from a wise black man to write that book he's always wanted. And it was a cook book!
Classic Rorschach
+Robert Finkle He's nutty!
I find it hilarious how so much of this subverts what REALLY happened on Watchmen. This is a brilliant parody. XD
There is something incredible in boiling down a God's abilities to "can give you cancer" and "can turn into a car".
Especially since Dr Manhattan doesn’t actually do either of those things in the comic
@@mariomouse8265 Of course he doesn't do it in the comics. But they had to include it in the cartoon to sell the Dr. Dr. Manhattan toy car.
@@mariomouse8265 Ok but consider he totally could do that if he really wanted since he's a matter manipulator
Turbo Teen was first, but Manhattan did it better!
@@mariomouse8265 he got accused pf the cancer thing tho
My favorite episode is the one where Dr. Manhatten learns it is not ok to clone yourself so one can do work and the other can make out
Where can I watch this show, I can learn so much from it
It was a good character moment but such a hilariously weird moral. I've tried to reason it out as balancing work and personal life but I think it was just straight-up 'Cloning yourself too much is rude, kids!'
Surprising that they included such a lengthy make-out scene in a family cartoon, but I'm not complaining
I love how well animated this short was, and how far Harry has come in these last 8 years. I mean, back in 2009 this degree of quality was humbling, and the stuff he's making nowadays even more.
I watched this video when I was like 10 or 11 and I actually thought it was a fucking show
same
Now I feel old.
So much nostalgia! I loved the episode where Rorschach teaches Nite Owl the nutritional benefits of bean juice.
When I was a kid I had the Watchmenmobile, the complete set of Watchmen bubblegum cards and the Dr Manhattan Atom Bomb Kit, but I lost them all after an attack of post-modern comicbook existentialism!
Don't forget the Rorschach branded dog toys.
Great for German Shepards
I've been trying to collect the cards
The Nite Owl Archie playset is a real collector's item, if you still have it and it's intact.
@Scom Tott I bet Alan Moore’s dancing with joy! 😃
I had the atom bomb kit, but i lost the part that made it work.
My Favorite Watchmen Episodes
1) When NiteOwl Tells Dr.Manhattan That He Should Wear Pants, Then Dr.Manhattan Learns How To Dress Up.
2) When The Comedian Loved A Girl So Bad, He Kicked Her, Then Kept Trying To Kiss Her. Of Course, HoodedJustice Learns About This, Then The Comedian Learns How To Actually Love A Woman, And Treat One.
3) When Rorshach Gets Two Dogs Then Forgot To Feed Them. He Then Learns To Remember Important Things.
4) When Rorshach Kept Stealing Dan's Pies. At The End, Rorshach Learns Not To Steal.
5) When Viedt Spreads A False Rumor About Dr.Manhattan Cooties. At The End, Ozy Learns Not To Spread Rumors.
6) When Comedian And Dr.Manhattan Don't Think Other People From Other Nations Aren't Normal, They Take A Trip To Vietnam. They Then Learn To Know That They Are Normal People, And Comedian Meets A Mean Fat Woman Who Says He Impregnated Her.
7) Viedt Pulled A Big Prank On The Entire Crew About An Alien Invasion. At The End, Viedt Learns To Not Cause Panic.
8) When The Comedian Does A Special On Window Safety, And What To Do When Someone Breaks Inside Your House.
9) When Rorshach Confronts A Man Who Kidnapped A Princess, Then Rorshach Stole His Dogs.
10) When Rorshach Makes Fun Of Viedt Because Ozy Wears A "Princess Outfit." At The End, Rorshach Learns Not To Make Fun Of People.
11) The Prequel\Special "Watchmen Babies:V For Vacation." At The End, Silk Spectre Finds Out That The Comedian Is Her Dad [The Final Episode.]
this comment is as underrated as the movie.
I always liked the one where The Comedian goes on a fun filled trip in South America and, on his way home, he finds out something really unflattering about Ozymandias and tries to blab about it to the first person he sees, Ozy's arch nemesis Moloch!
In the end, The Comedian learns that it's not always our place to talk about other people's business and, when the time is right, our friends will tell us everything themselves.
I think the best episode was the one when Ozymandias accidentally squirted ketchup on The Comedian's badge and it led into a huge fight between them.
ooh i remember the names of those episodes
1. Pants Bants
2. The Woman Code
3. 2 yips of the same yap
4. Pies to meet you
5. The Rumor Mill Spill
6. The Other Nation Episode
7. The Invasion
8. Window Safety Special
9. Happily Ever Watchmen
10. The Outfit
11. Watchmen Babies:V For Vacation
these are some of the greatest episodes
This comment made my day. You deserve an ice cream cone. 🍦
Remember that episode of Watchmen where they went that parallel universe where superheroes had to give up their costumes? Thank goodness it was all a dream!
Elias Enarsson Yes, yes he is.
The brilliance of this parody, whether if intended or not, is that the Disney-esque white washing of these morally dubious and infinitely complex and flawed characters down to the level of a children's cartoon is so painfully on-point that it would 100% fit within the dystopian universe of the actual Watchmen series.
In the following years after the "squid" wiped out New York, I can absolutely see this show existing in the following 80's and 90's.
Ozymandias, executive producer, also probably talks about the "real world" life lessons behind the cartoons between commercial breaks like Bill Cosby used to do with Fat Albert.
The funny thing is you are right on the money about this being something that would happen in the comic book, because it actually is! Near the end of the book there are some letters from ozymandias to one of his business people where he plans to make a kids show about the watchmen to sell more of his watchmen toys. He even plans for this to happen after the 'alien' attack. Not sure if its mentioned again in the sequel books because I have not read them yet (and from what I hear about them that's a good thing, still wanna give them a try though). Sorry for rambling.
Why wasn't this in the show? The part about Ozymandias himself talking to the audience would have been golden to watch
@@celticduke3002 only one earth reading I rorschach by tom king tbh

So apparently HBO is thinking about making a Watchmen TV Series. So this could be a legitimate thing guys, this could actually be real.
If said HBO series ends up being this, I will get an HBO Go account immediately.
+Blacknight342 so would it be non canon or a redo from the comics?
+kazumazkan I honestly have no idea. The rumor was that HBO was in talks with whoever owned the rights to Watchmen. That was almost a year ago that i saw the article. It could still be very real, but there is zero information about it.
Blacknight342
ah ok
It's real.
Too bad it's not going to be a campy parody of Watchmen if it was a Saturday morning cartoon from the 80s.
My favorite episode was the one where Dr. Manhattan turns into a spaceship and take Silk Spectre to Mars and they save the Glass Castle from Molick! Fun times!
I like the pirate themed tv show they are always watching together as friends
I wish they would release that as it's own show
Heard there was gonna be a movie adaptagion, but it was unreleased for some reasin
I like the episode the Mystery of the Black Freighter when they thought it was a real ghost ship but it was just themselves reflected in smoke and mirrors 😂
That one blew my mind
I remember that episode! It had the one ship captain who taught the value of friendship. "Argh. If ye stick with yer crew, they'll always keep you afloat."
@@The_Weasel_ "Argh. If ye stick with yer crew, they'll always keep yer afloat. Merry Christmas evry'one!!!"

Well as a cartoon show probably XP but the normal watchmen then ehhh
'they'll look up and shout SAVE US, and i'll look down and whisper
SAY NO TO DRUGS'
Best quote from the whole show
I remember the season finale when the giant Psycho-Squid showed up killed literally everyone.
Can't believe the censors let that one get through, honestly.
no, the lazer sent them to another planet. i heard the writing team were planing to make another watchman project but the animation studio gainax had other plans, they were animating nadia: the secret of blue water and dropped watchmen from spreading out the work thin for nadia.
Actually, that was supposed to be a cliffhanger. The writers were expecting another season, but the network cancelled it to make room for the next big thing. That happened to a lot of shows in the '80s.
Stop saying that the comic Alan Moore wrote was part of the show. That was an unofficial sequel he wrote and it was garbage because it made watchmen dark.
HBO: “Ours is the best Watchman tv show ever!”
Harry: *dusts off VHS tape*
HBO: “Why do I hear boss music?”
