I am so happy to hear about your success this year and wishing you another successful year in 2025. I think as individuals we tend to think worst case scenarios and if you really sit back and reflect on how your year went I think you did a damn good job. Your RUclips followers increased, you did half as much conventions this year than last and made roughly the same, and you have sponsors. Plus you hired an assistant! You are amazing.
Your creations, be it art or videos are gifts to the universe, not obligations. Once you see it that way, you will not longer feel like you are letting people down ❤
Just breathe.....I think the expectations you have of yourself, are so high because of the potential you have. And that voice that sometimes says, "you can be doing so much more", "you haven't done enough", you have to find a way to shut it off, because you have done so much this year, and it is ok to take your time and not feel guilty about it. I know it's easier said then done, but dang it Julianne, you are so talented, and you keep it real, which I love watching. Just hearing you say that you don't want to disappoint us, I'm like, you haven't and you aren't. Please don't carry that feeling into 2025, we are all here because 1. we like you, the person we get to watch and see grow. 2. You inspire many of us with your journey. 3. Many of us can relate with the burnout, specially when it's just you doing it all. I wish you even more success, and peace for this coming 2025. much love :)
I always appreciate seeing honest stats like these. I'm hoping to form a similar career on here and with a shop so it's super helpful, thank you for your openness and transparency!! happy christmas everyone 🥰
I 100% agree with you about economical trends for all events, more than just conventions. I feel like so many people are trying to push into markets and events that skewing a lot of data on everyone’s end. I struggle with deciphering if it’s super trendy or just my algorithm.
For sure! I think it’s getting more popular but many people aren’t really making money you can viably live off of. I think there’s a skewing in reporting about how profitable it really is for everyone
You've done a super great job this year, Julianne. I'm also an avid watcher from overseas. I love your videos and your art so I hope to see you more in 2025. Thank you for sharing your art to the world. ☺
Julianne, you give your viewers and shop/convention customers tons of value; they can easily spend all their time and dollars with someone else. Good news - they don't! You give folks what they want - YOU! This plays into the mental game you've been discussing. Everybody has issues. No body is perfect. Know what, that's okay. Do the hard work to figure things out. Heck, doing so may help you overcome blocks that have been holding you back, like those multiple burnouts. Who knows, you may one day enjoy consistent sales figures that crush what you are doing now. Your community of fans are rooting for the best. 👏🤟
Found your channel this year and it was so nice seeing you at Anime Matsuri! Your work ethic is something I truly admire and is something that inspires me as I create my own collection of art that I hope to be able to vend some day
I'm so happy for such a great year you had. Please take the credit you deserve! It hurts hearing that you're battling your own self deprecating thoughts, but know that your community will always be with you. :) You got this.
Happy new year!! Wishing the best of health to everyone and all your loved ones! May 2025 be a great year! I discovered your vlogs this year and look forward to more vlogs. You are doing great and are and inspiration. Im feeling burn out too. So relatable 😅
You're doing such an amazing job, thank you for this transparent video!:D I'm from Germany & I've been following you from before i made my own small art shop, i'm gonna booth at dokomi, it would be such a dream to be able to see you booth there!
That feeling of not being or doing enough, of letting people down, can be attributed to your ADHD. Those with more oestrogen especially seem to get hit with the imposter syndrome and rejection sensitivity etc (not to say other people don’t, but stats say it’s more common for us) and it’s so hard to stay motivated and successful whilst fighting it so I’d say you are doing incredibly well!
you are actually the sweetest person ever. im so so grateful we got to meet and for the amazing planter you painted!!! ive been showing everyone i know. excited to see where your art journey takes you!
Hi Julianne! It was so great to meet you at AWA this year. I usually snoop and watch your videos on my other account, and I’m trying to be more active with this one haha. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences and comparisons between this year and last. You are truly an inspiration and please don’t worry about letting us down. I am so happy seeing you flourish ❤
so proud of you for going back in therapy in 2025!! i totally get the “being too hard on yourself” problem, it really sucks, im so sorry you have to go through that :( sending you big hugs bestie (from france, and YES please come we’d love to meet you!!), take care!!
love watching your vids as you share the same fears, real emotions, that all creators feel. It makes me feel validated lol. Keep up the great work. And love seeing your creative process.
I loved following your journal this year and can't wait to see what 2025 brings you!!! Also I LOVED those foodie vlogs and would love to see more next year!
Omg not the rice spoon. That’s amazing 😂 congrats on your 2024 achievements 🥹 totally deserved and so excited to see your journey in 2025 💖 happy holidays to you and everyone! 🥂🍻🥳
Half the events, but about the same amount of revenue? That's fantastic! Spending way less of your time, investing in less money, and didn't see a financial drop!!!
You helped me get into conventions this year and I had so so much fun, gained new community and am going to try continue! Thank you Julianne and I love all your videos, the vibes chill and less chill haha ❤ happy holidays and enjoy some time for rest x
You have inspired me me to try drawing as as hobbies. I’m a photographer and leaning into other ways of creativity is just exactly what my mind needs. I’ve learned about my own youtube binge watching behavior and you make your videos very entertaining, honest, and insightful from many different points of view. I hope my daughter feels inspired to keep practicing her drawing skills and in the future she can have art as a big part of her life. We love love love your art. I bought from your shop for myself and my kids too. Thank you for all you do! Have a wonderful and Merry Christmas and best wishes of productivity and prosperity for 2025!
I always look forward to your vlogs. I love your work! I see your work growing more n more every year. Taking care of yourself is very important. Always put yourself first, we will always be here for you. ❤❤❤stay strong, stay safe and have an amazing end to 2024! Here she comes 2025 watching out!!
I’m actually really glad you’re so honest about your struggles because a lot of what you said is how I feel and think. People also tell me I’m too hard on myself. But it amazes me that even with that mindset you still manage to run a business because I tend to be so hard on myself that I don’t even do things. Like if I was in your shoes I wouldn’t have been able to start a business. I would’ve planned and planned and chickened out in the end. So even with all your struggles, you’re still doing great. I hope you find it in yourself to be kinder, more gentle, and at ease with yourself. What you’re doing is enough. No one is keeping score. You shouldn’t be keeping score either. You should allow yourself to do as much as you can, then rest before you even feel like burning out. And when in doubt, look back at your accomplishments, at how far you’ve come and sit in that feeling. You already made it. Anything more than that is just a cherry on top. I will also take my own advice 😅 Maybe 2025 will be healthier for all of us 😊
Julianne, this video is amazing! Congrats for such an awesome year!💖 But omg, yes burnout poopoo brain is NOT fun!! I’m a perfectionist, so I deal with a lot of those thoughts too! Yes! Give yourself credit and know you inspire each of us ALL the time! You’re so amazing and I adore your vids and how transparent you are. 🩷🫶🏻
So happy for your growth👏👏👏You deserved it!! You worked so hard and it showed. Please take rest when you need to and you don’t have to chase everything all the time. Merry Christmas and cheers to the new year. Can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll create in the next year💖
Julianne you really are genuinely so cute and inspiring! I don't think you could ever let down anyone as long as you take care of youself and do all the things that makes you the happiest, I feel so so happy seing you thriving!! wishing you a succesful 2025 as well and sending you lots of love!! thanks for always being yourself and let us be part of your journey ❤
You’re an extraordinary creative and business owner, and you sharing your challenges makes it all the more inspiring to learn from you. I cannot believe you only started Peppercut in 2020. What an accomplishment! I’m hoping to launch a sticker business next year and your videos motivate me to stay in the struggle while being kind to myself through the hard bits. I’m also planning to visit the US for the first time in April and hope to see you (and shop from you) in person! 😍 Wishing you the very best for 2025 and I look forward to cheering you on as your business grows!
Thank you for sharing so much about yourself and how hard you are on yourself. I truly relate where I feel I don’t want to lose what I have so I have to work hard. Definitely continue to take care of yourself and love yourself before all. I too am a artist and started a new IG this year. I had one years ago and it was doing well but I kinda let it fall off. Been really disappointed at IG now. It’s very different now I can barely get views. Oh well hopes to next year on creating more art lol. It was great getting to meet and buy stuff from you this year! Have have great 2025!
congratulations ❤ so happy to see you chasing your dreams and making it your reality you’re doing absolutely great ❤ that inner critic makes us doubt sometimes but it’s okay just stay positive everything is happening at the right time and for some reason happy holidays enjoy this time 😍 and all the very best for 2025 🥰love from India
Much much much love sent your way Julianne ❤ Wishing you a great year forward and every year. I've come to learn that the most important person I shouldn't let down is myself, so I urge you to put yourself first and to let go of difficult expectations. You know you're already doing your very best so it's only fair to take breaks and to complain about things and all that. Same as working hard and realizing your dreams. Rooting for you 😊
Ohhh I hope to meet you at Japan Expo ^^ I love your work and your personality :) The energy you sow through your videos and just being you 🥰 Wish you all the best 🥰 I live in the suburbs of Paris so if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help 😀
I can't wait until I become as successful as you are. I'm tired of relying of minimum-wage jobs. They're always asking too much work for the low pay, lol. Congrats on the success, tho! 🙌 It gives me hope that I can do it as well since I'll be doing similar on RUclips as well.
I hope you make it next year to Dokomi! And I wonder if you'll remember me for mentioning that convention months ago XD I really hope to meet you someday! Best of luck!
I’ve been noticing a downward trend with cons in my area for the past 10 years. I’m industry and I have more comped spots than ones I actually pay for. It’s so bad that I don’t see trend changing for what I sell (comics, prints and sketches) I’m not quitting shows, but I’m quitting artist alley going into 2025 onward. It’s mainly that the audience has changed which is fine. My work has been the best it ever has so it’s not that. Baltimorecon, while a great show for fans, is a terrible con to sell at. That was my reality check. Way too many exhibitors. I guarantee you at least half the floor didn’t make back what they spent to get there.
I suspect that in the future that conventions will no longer separate Merch Dealers and Artists in their separate halls. Instead, I imagine them combining them all to create a Shopping Hall putting both Artists and Dealers under the same umbrella.
When I think about it from a seller standpoint, we're the same when it comes to selling our goods. For artists like yourself, that's your artwork and merchandise. As dealer, I'm simply reselling merch (might go deeper than that, but I don't want to dive into distributors, etc). If you think about it, artists alley and dealers hall is very closely similar.
I would love the video on the income diversify not including RUclips! While I am doing RUclips I will say I am sos tired of everyone just saying "do RUclips". So I would love to hear other ways as an artist to diversify.
Hi Julianne! I really love your vids and I'm now inspired to start my own business. I don't know how to make a website so can you tell me what you used to create your website? By the way great work with 2024!
Girlll, I’m sensing some imposter syndrome going on in your head. But the numbers don’t lie! 😊 I’m happy seeing you grow, and I actually discovered you the beginning of the year when I started bullet journaling. It’s natural to experience some degree of burn out, with any job and I hope you are taking care of yourself & finding your joy again. I think having RUclips allows many of us to see how unfiltered And authentic you are, that it’s entertaining even if it’s just a packing vlog. You are sprouting on this art entrepreneurship, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of you and your little sprouts in 2025!
Hello from Germany! Also, I have no idea why people get so weird about people wanting to get paid for their work. Yeah, *I* am going to conventions for fun but *sellers* go there to work. Of course, if I do not like the art I'm not gonna buy it but if I do, of course I expect you to earn money with it. I want to get paid for my labour, too.
So happy for your art business. But just wanted to say $13k on AdSense is really good, for me it would be amazing. I used to live off 8k as a single mother. We do own our home and I finally paid off my car this year. I finally started my art business this year and was so happy to get an extra $6k 😊
You are doing amazing …. You just need some motivation . Listen to some self help books or like 10 pillars of wealth is so good . Ok bye till next time ❤
I am glad you had a successful year, I get how burn out feels, it's not really pleasant :/ I must say though that your content has really helped motivate me with my art endeavors and it's so nice that you've applied to Dokomi, hope you get accepted ! :D I too have applied for Dokomi, so fingers crossed we might see each other :3
ppl dont randomly watch your vids...its casue give so much value in them that we are drawn to it!! keep up the great work

LOL ya idk! I think sometimes people can take it personally, like I’m saying “HEY BROKIE GIVE ME UR MONEY 🫵👊🏽💥”

So happy for your art business. But just wanted to say $13k on AdSense is really good, for me it would be amazing. I used to live off 8k as a single mother. We do own our home and I finally paid off my car this year. I finally started my art business this year and was so happy to get an extra $6k 😊

The rice spoon mic 😂. Very Asian. I wonder if I can draw Julianne as youtuber art print with a rice spoon mic.
LOL my best mic yet!
You are doing amazing …. You just need some motivation . Listen to some self help books or like 10 pillars of wealth is so good .
Ok bye till next time ❤
I am glad you had a successful year, I get how burn out feels, it's not really pleasant :/
I must say though that your content has really helped motivate me with my art endeavors
and it's so nice that you've applied to Dokomi, hope you get accepted ! :D
I too have applied for Dokomi, so fingers crossed we might see each other :3
I wonder why some people make $2,000-$4000 a month on RUclips
please do a video on diversifying your income! 🩷
Adding it to the list!!
