Not even joking. I have a crazy neighbor next door who does this EXACT SHIT. She would threaten us for no reason, slam her doors over and over, and scream at all hours of the night. I can’t believe how many of these things she does. She legitimately threatened to blow up our house for no reason at all. She’d scream in our bathroom window at all hours of the night because it faces her yard. I literally called the cops on her every day for a year before she was arrested. She was arrested a whole 3 separate times for harassing us. It was always unprovoked and for no reason at all. It was like she’s just bored but also one of the most horrible human beings you’ve ever come into contact with. Actual pure evil.

I was about 36 at the time. It was me, my husband, 3 year old daughter and newborn baby at the time. We moved into a new apartment and the lanlord a lady, was so sweet in the beginning and then after a couple of months she wanted us out right after we fixed up the entire apartment and started putting us through hell. She terrorized us daily, mostly after my husband left for work. She kept turning the heat off and we were freezing, one night it got so bad someone had to come and saw my children were wrapped in blankets it was 39 degrees in the apartment in the middle of winter. That got fixed but then one day I tried to leave for work and couldn't get out of the building she padlocked us in, we called the cops and she got into trouble. We got another place literally withing days. And the night before we were about to move my then 4 year old daughter ran downstairs in her socks to grab something from my mom who stopped by and when my mother left the lanlord said hi sweetheart and then pushed my daughter out the door into the cold and snow and locked the door. I was at the top of the stairs with my son in my arms she didn't know. I put my baby down she had the nerve to rush up the stairs screaming and I lost it. She through a crazy fit trying to hit and I threw her down the entire flight of stairs. Some people are just out of their minds

They moved the next day. Some residents she physically attacked, others just left. I was in college during finals w/a 5 yr old daughter so I couldn't leave. One morning we were going to school and she attacked me. I fought her off and got a restraining order that day. But cops never did anything but 'talk' to her. I contacted the DMV to see if she could find us if we moved (yes), only to find they thought she was doing meth. When I contacted the owner, he was afraid of her and wouldn't evict her. He asked me if I would file the eviction notice. So I was the one who took it down to the courthouse. They got her out by sheriffs but we had all moved out by that time. Until recently we had a schizophrenic neighbor(his mother confirmed that bit)in his 20s an he'd have episodes because he would take drugs and not the ones that help mentally... It really seemed like management felt bad for him, but he was hauled away by police/ambulance at least 3 times for being a danger to himself. One time he ran out into the middle of the road behind our apt and just sat there refusing to move. Another time we got home from work and he was screaming to himself "NO" repeatedly and yelled that he's not a serial killer.... Neighbors said he'd been doing it all day... (and no one called cops before we got home??) Another time he pounded on our door saying the guy he was with was a serial killer and ran outside shirtless telling my neighbors the same. (pretty sure it was either a drug dealer or his boyfriend)
Anyways, he finally got evicted because he was thousands behind on rent and rent forgiveness has ended. It has been nice having no one live on one side of us, so quiet, lol. And we're on good terms with the people on the other side so if one of us is loud we'll just text and let each other know instead of filing complaints.

It’s a very difficult situation when your neighbor is severely mentally ill. They’re never going to stop their bad behavior because they cannot control her impulses. I feel really bad for these people because I went through pretty much the same thing when I moved into my suburban neighborhood on Long Island close to 40 years ago. The real estate agent spread the info that we were Puerto Rican, which is only true in the fact that my children are half Puerto Rican as my ex-husband was Puerto Rican. No one in the entire neighborhood would talk to us. Peoples threw things on our lawn. These were the days before caller ID and we had relentless phone calls and hangups at all hours, 24 hours a day seven days a week. After we had lived in the neighborhood for about five years my neighbor across the street from me told me that “we (and I guess she was speaking for the entire neighborhood because she was the neighborhood busybody) were glad when we saw you move in because we heard Puerto Ricans were moving in.” I am a blonde white lady. I am not Puerto Rican. But I have lived in Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans come in all colors with all shades of eye colors, blue green brown. Some Puerto Ricans are as white as milk, some Puerto Ricans are as black as night. Puerto Rico is an ethnicity not a race. As it was created by mixing many different invaders DNA with the indigenous Indian population, including the slaves brought over to do the heavy work naturally. So I looked her straight in the eye and I said “I am Puerto Rican”. I thought she was going to swallow her tongue. She began tripping over her self trying to apologize and I told her what I just told you about Puerto Ricans coming in different colors. That you’ll never know by looking at someone whether or not they’re Puerto Rican. It was very satisfying. People are just terrible, and I can say this as a white person, white people are horrible. I have never seen a black person treat their white neighbors this way.

Had a tenant behaving that way with others at an apartment complex. Had two tenants leave due to the ongoing disturbances, and had complains of constant trespassing by the mosque next door. Took 4 months due to covid, but they were finally evicted. The remaining tenants couldn't be happier. Restraining orders don't do enough. You need to kick them out from where they are and force them to live somewhere else, if they can find a place that'll tolerate them.

I had a really awful neighbor. Not as bad as this one but still made everyone's lives in our apartment building hellish. At first she was just being an annoyance. I one time heard her screeching a song at the top of her lungs. It was funny at first, but she then told me and my siblings to shut the fuck and flipped us off. My mom confronted her about it and was being very mature. The toxic woman then called her a bitch and said some racist slurs. Me and my family thought that we were the only ones who were tortured by her, but it turns out EVERYONE in the apartment building had a problem with her. The landlord finally kicked her out and he's a really good guy. He said he let her stay at the apartment because she had an autistic son and he felt bad cause he had an autistic grandson. I'm just so glad that he was able to recognize that she was causing problems. To anyone who has to deal with a toxic neighbor, I seriously wish the best for you.

When I was 15yrs old my parents was looking to rent a house so we can move out of this one bedroom flat. The first house we went and looked at, this white old woman came and asked my parents what we were doing there because we have no business being there. My Dad tried to be polite and explain to her but my Mum didn’t like her tone and told her to fuck off. When my mum did that this old lady went and called the police on us and told them that were robberies 😂 When the police got there, instead of my parents being questioned she got told off by the police and took her instead 😂 The police man told my parents it wasn’t the first time she did that lol My mum was ready to smack her but my Dad told her no because she will cry victim to the cops.
