I have been searching for nice ideas for a way to elevate my bike for doing odd jobs on it and this wall mounted one is just incredible. I love it to bits and thank you so much for sharing! The floor stand is also just great. I am going to make them both.
I was trying to figure out where the hell to mount it then I found your video. Our homes are very similar on the garage and it will work perfectly! Thanks for adding the difference for road bikes or I never would have thought about it till I was going back to replace it. :)
Simply the easiest and best looking DIY repair stand I've come across here on RUclips. Much gratitude for the idea. This is the one for me. Question: how has the PVC elbow held up over many uses? Strong enough over time, or chance of cracking down the road?
I didn’t realize it’s been over 2 years! I still use the stand several times a week and no problems. On a curious note, I never glued the elbows at the top of the vertical part. This allows it to “expand” for wider tires and takes some of the stress out. I think it has helped to make it more durable.
Johnny Perez you might need to make the outriggers longer. Also make sure they are completely flat. Mine is rather stable but more so if I use the rear wheel.
How long does the pipe need to be to make sure your pedals aren't hitting the garage? I'm thinking at least 18", but if it's too long it might sag or bend.
i am posting a link on my webpage ( in development ) for my bike repair biz at bikeguy..ca and all my social media. this is the BEST idea yet for home repair and cleaning! Genius. Elegant Simplicity !!
Велосипед должен крепиться за раму, а не за подседельный штырь. Это обеспечит лучшую стабилизацию велосипеда. Держатель рамы должен быть регулируемый для разных размеров рамы и мягким во избежание царапин.

Been watching loads of videos on how to build a bike stand. All good ideas, but this one's simplicity is perfect and effortless! Well done!
Thank you!
Bravo, this is the best bike repair stand i have seen on RUclips. Well done Tony.
LOL, at least it's cheap
Even if it wasn't cheap, it's simple! Thanks a lot for sharing.
I guess "cheap" is relative. That plate that goes on the wall is a bit pricey for what it is.
I did two separate searches today about cheap tool set and cheap bike work stand and found your videos very helpful thanks!!!
If you would have painted that flange white, your wife would never have known it was there! Thanks for the idea👍
this is by far the best one of all!! Bravo sir !!
Genius! I will be making something very similar except I will make it in a way that it will attach to my bench vice.
Good to see some new MTB content! I enjoy you videos on the Diamondbacks. Keep it coming!
Thanks, I know the quality is lacking but hopefully the info can be useful to some. thanks again
This garage door bike stand:) is awesome :).

Amazing man!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the video. I am going to copy the stand that holds bike by the seat post.
Very nice! Thanks.
Nice simple ideas
I made the pvc stand as well but needed to fill the bottom with sand to stop it falling over.
That’s a good idea!

@@TonyHob awesome man. Again, thanks for sharing and for your time in response. Happy trails and Keep the rubber side down!!
awesome video!! thanks for the help man ill make exactly like this..
Useful vid!
Awesome! Like it! I seen this on another channel (MTB Alex) I'm going to make one. Cheap bike repair stand. Thank you for great video!😊👍 Got new sub.
Excellent 👍
Would the pipe tee hold a ebike’s weight 50lb
I don’t think the system will hold it. It would probably tear it out off the wall
what is the thing that you put in the wall
It's a floor flange
What did you use to make the clamp for the bike stand on the garage?
It’s called a PVC snap tee, available at hardware stores
@@TonyHob I thought you cut it out, that's even easier, lol. Thank you. PVC snap tee,Okie dokie
what do you call that base
Galvanized floor flange
Saw this exact same setup on J.farro's video from 2013.
yep, I mention that I saw it on another channel in the video. Just did not remember who at the time
Awesome
Nice idea, but odd place to install the flange. PVC stand like
can't see it on the video but my bikes and tools are right behind that wall. It just makes it convenient.
That is great. What is that base called that's mounted on the side of the garage?
It's a galvanized floor flange, should be available at you local Home Depot or hardware store.
Thanks!
What did you use to make the clamp part on the hanging bike stand??
Followed all directions and my bike keeps falling over any ideas ? Seems like the pvc pipes are extremely weightless.

Tony's Hobbies thks dude I’ll try that!
VERY GOOD BOY!
that bike looks bad A$$! im jealous!
My old DB Atroz Comp. I sold it but was a great bike
That PVC fitting you used is called a "T".

the one I'm using is 12", it clears the pedals.
@@TonyHob awesome really appreciate it. This is an awesome hack just what I was looking for. Thank you!!
Wowwww... Niceeeee

My wife would kick my ass if I screwed that flange to the house like that.
LOL!!
Impossible
I got 20 bikes that’s a lot of pvc..... 😎
PVC is cheap. If you can afford 20 bikes, you can afford the PVC 😂

Galvanized “tubing” = PIPE
Base = FLANGE
Too much time on your hands? 😂
