    I am going to get that stand. It does the trick and doesn't take up a lot of room.

    I have the Conquer portable bike stand and love it. I've used it to hold up a 50 lbs. E-bike as well as my Cannondale bikes and their oversized toptubes without any issues. I've never had the plastic pivot slip when holding up a bike and applying torque on bottom brackets ,pedals, etc. That includes installing a SRAM DUB bottom bracket and crankset. As you know the torque on those is 54 NM. The head flexes a little bit nothing more than a few mm . Well worth the money invested, this looks to have similar quality and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the brand to someone who needs a quality budget friendly bike stand for routine maintenance.
    Also, the customer service I received was top notch on the minor packaging issue from the factory. I left a review about it on amazon that explains what went wrong for anyone who's interested

    Tony I just saw in my recommended videos one titled ....Goodbye to Diamondback with a Silver Release in the thumbnail. I immediately thought you sold your bike. Then I click on it and see Seth's bikes hacks is no longer working for Diamondback. He got me to buy a Diamondback so it was sad to see him leave the company.

      @@TonyHob I bought my Diamondback because I saw how Seth rode it on tough terrain. Sad to see an end of an era. My guess is he gets a deal with YT or Intense to ride their bikes.

    I think this is perfect for an outside washing and cleaning station before get inside or to the garage

    I have a similar shirt. That clamp for an outdoor wash would be nice

      LOL, great minds think alike! I am a doctor for my day job so the shirt theme really fits. I actually plan on using the rack for a wash station like you mention. I really like that it includes two mounts.

      @@TonyHob That's pretty cool. You could totally put one under a tree for a wash station and another in the workshop!

    Great video, thanks! I wonder if you could rotate the arm in the bracket that mounts to the post, rotating it 180 degrees if you wanted the bike to be higher? Or rotating 90 degrees left or right if you wanted to move the location of the clamp in reference to the wall mount?

    • @TonyHob
      @TonyHob  Год назад +1

      You should be able to but, depending on the weight of the bike, it may not hold position

    • @mattkavanaugh5623
      @mattkavanaugh5623 Год назад

      @@TonyHob Yes, that’s a good point, but your assembly compound seemed to do the trick to really grip the arm. Maybe that’s why the manufacturer did not put a slot in the arm like they did for the clamp, to allow you to rotate the arm?

      It’s a pity that it’s not available anymore. I use mine frequently and it’s still working well. This one seems to sell well but not really the same mounting system: amzn.to/3tlYAYe
