    Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game and large predators in the world.
    The ecosystem supports 2 million wildebeests, 900,000 Thomson’s gazelles and 300,000 zebras as the dominant herds. Other herbivores include 7,000 elands, 27,000 topis, 18,000 hartebeests, 70,000 buffalos, 4,000 giraffes, 15,000 warthogs, 3,000 waterbucks, 2,700 elephants, 500 hippopotamuses, 200 black rhinoceroses, 10 species of antelope and 10 species of primate. Major predators include 4,000 lions, 1000 leopards, 225 cheetahs, 3,500 spotted hyenas and 300 wild dogs. Of these, the black rhino Diceros bicornis, leopard Panthera pardus, African elephant Loxodonta africana and cheetah Acynonix jubatus are listed in the IUCN Red List. There are over 500 species of birds that are perennially or seasonally present in the Park, of which five species are endemic to Tanzania. The Park has the highest ostrich population in Tanzania and probably Africa.

    This is 'National Geographic' quality movie! Such a joy to watch. Extremely well done. Footage is amazing and editing is perfect. How did you get those closeup shots? Have you used a telephoto lens with a photo camera or zoom with your camcorder?

    • @UnderwaterJourney
      @UnderwaterJourney  3 года назад

      Good morning Val . Thank you once again for your overwhelming compliments . For the closeup shots , i used the camcorder zoom ( not the digital one because quality is bad/ too much noise) and the guide who accompanied me was so good at getting extremely close to the animals and it helped a lot . That's the video i am most proud of and i am delighted to see that you enjoyed it .

      Hello Radek, Your very nice reviews leave me speechless . I had over 6 hours of rushes but putting the whole thing together is obviously the most laborious task and on this particular video, it felt like forever.The other complicated aspect is that because you cannot go out of the jeep , the variety of shooting angles is unfortunately quite limited. Underwater videos are somehow easier to work on because the images pattern is more regular and you can shoot from different perspectives . To be honest i am quite happy with the result of this Serengeti video as i thought it wouldn't be possible to make it look like something "watchable" . At times i just wanted to give up when editing but when i read such fantastic comments such as yours , i am glad i didn't quit.
      Once again , i feel honoured that you liked it so much and i want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart .

      Once again, thanks for sharing your experiences! You definitely deserve a lot more views and good feedback to bring us more videos!
      I placed Tanzania on my travel list now ( i also visited Raja Ampat via liveaboard earlier this year)
      Are you a professional videographer,if i may ask?
      What was your main camera and lenses for this trip?
      How did you spend in Africa to see these animals?
      Thanks for time , safe travels
      Radek

      Hi Radek , Please share these videos as much as you can in order to give them more visibility and more views . If you need a contact for Tanzania , do ask me , our guide was just brilliant and as i can see , you've been to Raja Ampat already , so you know how great the place is. Thanks a lot Radek , much appreciated. More videos will come in a few months....hopefully !

      Sorry Radek , i just realised i missed the second part of your message. No , i am not a professional videographer , i am just a passionate amateur guy but i worked quite long in the diving business as a dive instructor . Equipment is Sony AX100 and ( for the diving videos) Gates housing + 2 Sola lights . I spent 10 days in Tanzania . Take care Radek
