    This is a great way to think about odd time signatures, for example 4/5, 6/7 7/16, do this with Indian traditional t8ne signature, its fun

    I’m way too rhythmtarded to be able to do this. I understand it, but my brain and body have a hard time lining up. Doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying though.

    Not math rock but Invent Animate uses this often in their tapping parts, Indigo off their album Stillworld has some great examples.

    In the moment I am learning some licks from an older video of yours. And I really like the outro! It is an ambient piece with reverse guitar and bird sounds. You used it for a couple of months in between August of 2021 and January of 2022 I think. Is there a longer version available?

    Hoŵ is the last a triplet grouped in four, to me that just sounded like a 4/4 beat. I'm not a musician whatsoever, have patience with my ignorance pls, thanks.

      Yeah it does in a way, it's all about how it fits into the rest of what you're playing. Because the lowest common factor is 12 between 4 and 3 this would be identical for 3 bars of 4 or 4 bars of 3. Make sense? The difference is where in a different signature it would cut off part way through in comparison to 4/4.
      Edit: a diagram maybe help
      1 2 3 4 | 1 2 3 4 | 1 2 3 4
      Vs.
      1 2 3 | 4 1 2 | 3 4 1 | 2 3 4
      Means you can fit cool phrasings into different time signatures. It can give such a different feel to your music and separate out layers.
