I've been an enormous fan of rabea since I started playing. He's my favorite guitarist. But I'm so impressed with the chemistry him and pete have as players when they jam.
Im always nicely surprised how good Pete plays, when paired with Bea. Im not huge fan of his style when Pete plays on his own or with those like Ariel ...
I got an Evertune retrofitted into my Gibson Les Paul. Best decision I've ever made. Stands toe-to-toe with the Kemper as the biggest revolution for guitars in a long time.
Jim Regan yes. You have different “zones”. Zone 1 is everything below the note you set as your string tuning, for example E or whatever. Zone 2 is basically where you string will not bend, even if you wanted it to. As you turn the tuning peg tighter you rise up through zone 2 and into zone 3. Zone 3 is everything above your desired pitch (F onwards for example) but you don’t want to go higher than that. Instead you back it off to the edge of zone 2 and 3. Think of where you are in zone 2 as bend sensitivity. The lower you are the less sensitive and the more bending you have to do before the note starts to go sharp as it would on a regular guitar. Had mine for 2 years and wouldn’t change a thing.
I have a Strat with an ever tune bridge and I freakin love it! NEVER goes out of tune and great sustain. Intonation is great over the entire neck. Bend strings to extremes and comes back into perfect tune. Game-changer for me.
I’ve got the evertune on my tele deluxe. Haven’t tuned it for months haha. The freedom it gives you as a frontman at gigs. No wasted time tuning up. Aspecially on a hot day on an outdoor stage in direct sunlight. I can play the whole gig without once checking if it’s in tune. I know it is.
If you ever need a reminder that the player is the most important part of “tone,” watch Pete and Bea. Doesn’t matter what they have in their hands, you know it’s going to sound amazing
I bought a used honeyburst EC-1000ET for $700 and slapped a set of Fishman Fluence Devin Townsend signature pickups in it. It instantly became my favorite guitar. I can't imagine getting another hardtail without Evertune.
I have a collection of 13 guitars. 3 of them are Evertuned. Those three are pretty much the only guitars I play anymore. I leave them in E, Eb, and Drop D. This covers pretty much all of the songs that I do. Would love to convert a few more of my guitars so I keep hoping that used bridges keep showing up on Ebay, Reverb, Etc. I love knowing that the guitar is in tune anytime that I pick it up. Recording guitar tracks goes much faster.
Whatever that jazzy tune was at 9m45s that Rabea started and Pete jumps in on that groove and you both alternate solos and rhythm, that was special. Wish I heard more of that style when people demo guitars than typical metal shreds...
The Evertune bridge only takes a few minutes to set up and it stays in tune. Big name Companys please offer Evertune models because other than my tremelo guitars i cannot live without it anymore.
This is the first I've heard of the Evertune. What a great development. Saves time, you never have to tune during a show. And the side benefit of having to listen to less bitching from the pianist.
The Evertune bridges are a pretty neat invention. The first time I heard about them was a rig rundown for New Found Glory and Chad Gilbert had the Evertune on his Les Paul Customs.
Recently bought the mh-1000 with evertune. Its such a clever system.. you literally set up the tuning on the bridge once and forget about it. If an idea for a riff comes to mind you just grab the guitar and record, no time wasted checking tunings and whatnot.
I love the Evertune on my Sterling Majesty. Had it fitted and have never looked back. Totally agree with the having never broken a string with it either. It’s very forgiving on the player and ‘releases’ you from the tyranny of poor tuning. Again, agree with another tuber regarding a far quicker setup time when you’re in a hurry. I’m currently having a True Temperament fretboard system fitted to cure my overly sensitive ear!
Also using an Evertune system it means once the guitar is all set up its perfect intonation all up and down the neck....even taking it from a cold environment to a hot one the Evertune bridge will keep the guitar in perfect tune.....Devon Townsend got a great RUclips clip of him explaining the system in depth.....
I have the black with EMGs version. It's super nice. Mine is on loan currently to another player named Pete. A good take away is every small studio should have one. But buy the best strings and keep them clean. String changes are a bit more time consuming. But tuning and studio problem solving make up by far these minor issues. Layering tracks is a HUGE benefit.
Volume knob configuration is the same arrangement as the PRS DGT model, at David Grissom's express request (of course). You can find him demo'ing/explaining it -- makes a lot of sense when he demonstrates.
@@wesleyzimmerman94 if they can get rid of the knife-edge of tremolos it would be possible to keep it in tune somehow, but look at how Kahler tried it and didn't really become relevant.
Pete's technique reminds me of Jimmy Page. He alwyas plays in different quirky styles, puts a lot of character on every note and he pushes his playing if he's not feeling it and needs to kick it into gear. Being a huge JP fan, I imagine that's what draws me to Pete. He's my personal favorite here on Anderton's TV and beyond...
Fine review of a finely crafted guitar. It would have been valuable to hear your opinion of the playability of the neck. I guess I'll find out soon enough. Mine's supposed to arrive next week. Not bragging. Literally my first new guitar in over 50 years. Really looking forward to it. A work of art.
Well nice video but I don't have tuning issues with my 2 long staying electric guitars since mid 1990s. I can down pick at 168 bpm or use my vintage style Fender tremolo as Jimi or whatever. I still don't have tuning issues so that feature is kind of waste full to me besides the freedom to do a drop E to D.
Sweet feet! Just got a ec-1000 Koa and these LTD’s are excellent. The quality is top notch. These are pro spec guitars. I went to get a Gibson LP and left with the esp Ltd instead. It wasn’t a choice based on price but rather QC and sound. Couldn’t find an LP in the shop that didn’t need some work before it was ready but the Ltd was good to go. Unless I went with one of the super expensive LPs there were flaws. Esp Ltd for me...
Comme d'hab magnifique pete and rebea...Merci les gars...un peu de joie et de bien être dans cette vie merdique et tjrs les bienvenus...Big fan from morocco
Great demo guys.awesome jams!it really gets a my blood flowing early in the morning.way better than coffee, and I love my coffee.sweet jams!pete's my favorite of all time, but what a team!
Fun video guys. And a cool way to avoid that "shorter" 24.75 in scale length detune on heavy strokes, like you say. Q. What pedal does Rabea kick in at 10:19 ??? Cool fuzz tone.
Lets create a petition to create a time machine and send Rabea back to 1969 and perform on Woodstock.. :) No, i have no idea how a petition would help ................. but it's worth a shot!
Another huge plus of the Evertune bridge is being able to adjust each individual strings height. This isn’t really possible on most “traditional” bridges and lets you get a perfect action for each string.
The one w Schwarzenegger as Freeze was the worst Batman movie ever made. I really wish I'd been here when this vid came out to get one of these for this price... I very recently picked up a lightly used pristine EC-1000 hardtail in vintage black with EMGs for $800 and it's a GREAT deal. W the stainless frets. What a great guitar. There's NO reason to pay for a Gibson Les Paul these days.
I’m curious.. How would you say the EC-1000’s with the Seymour Duncan’s sound compared to say a Les Paul Standard? Are they at all close? Realistically.. small differences can be managed by amp settings/pedals…
Will an ltd sound like a Gibson if it had gibson pickups installed in it? I prefer ltds better necks Gibson's differently win on the looks department but then again you would spend 2000k plus on one with a finish as nice as the ltd which is probably a veneer
I'm confused, it the string saddle is moving back/forwards, as Pete said, how come it doesn't either put your intonation out, or do you have to set it all up and then do the intonation?
Love that actor Bane, who played Tom Hardy in that Batman film ha ha...Oh, & Arnie playing Mr Frost lol. Great jamming guys. Loved the clean Niles Rodgers esque part.

Pete and Ariel are great too
@@HylianCheshire yep. I'd love to have 1% of the skill of anyone here

Can you do bends?
Jim Regan yes. You have different “zones”. Zone 1 is everything below the note you set as your string tuning, for example E or whatever. Just bought a Balaguer Thicket with the Evertune and this video helped a lot
I have the wet dream that Evertune will come with the perfect tremolo bridge
