GRACEFUL Microlight Sailplane for ALL to ENJOY! Beautiful video footages and GRACEFUL music. May WE CO-CREATE together in bringing this UPLIFTING sport to ALL on planet Earth. Thank you kindly in SHARING your creation for ALL to SEE! Krystal River Hugs! Amoraea.
Very nice video and nice glider. I like that you showed multiple ways to launch the archaeopteryx: by winch, towplane, microlight, by rubber band and even with your own feet. The glider seems very agile in steep turns and the stall behaviour seems excellent too. Does it have a trim?
HERMOSO PLANEA DOR, EL RESUMEN DE MUCHOS AÑOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN Y MODELOS AHORA CON NUEVAS TECNOLOGÍAS MÁS ACCESIBLES.....UNA VERDADERA OBRA DE INGENIERÍA AERONAÚTICA
Incredible and beautiful glider (way out of my league). I'm curious if the pay-out winch you tow with is something you built or is it commercially available?
I love this plane. I have been looking for a plane for cross country that could be fitted with a way to self launch but is more elegant than say a hanglider trike. And also doesn’t cost a hundred thousand dollars or more. The one ai love most is the Silent Glider DE. But I can’t find if anyone is still producing that plane. If anyone has a suggestion I would very much welcome one please.
There are a lot more "sophisticated" comments on this video praising and admiring it. I like those types of comments not the stupid ones on the foot launch video saying stupid stuff.
I had this Idea more than 30 years ago, I knew it was possible. So I am glad someone brought it to reality, This is not only the present but the future of efficient, low weight free flight,I believe there´s a quantum leap evolution in efficiency coming up in the next few years when designs litke this incorporate more "Daring"(bird like) wing tip designs that reduce and take advantage(up) of the (now wasted) energy of tip vortices, all soaring birds do it, it is essential to their efficiency
The clumsiest, most inelegant glider money can buy. And for an astonishing amount of money, namely 85,500 Swiss francs. In comparison to a real hang glider (FAI Class I), the Archaeopteryx actually belongs to the group of hang gliders with FAI Class II because of its foot-launch ability, although comparatively good performance parameters in terms of minimal sinking and best gliding, but flying with an Archeopteryx has really nothing to do with "hang gliding" apart from the said relic of the ability to take off on foot, just as little as this is the case with the Swift, except that this wing at least looks cool and in contrast to the Archaeopteryx is pretty much the most stylish and elegant glider that money can buy. So, you buy an expensive ugly glider, which has surprisingly poor performance compared to other gliders in the same price range, and then use this thing to fly around the world as a hang glider, but at the same time forgo pretty much everything that hang gliding has to offer and what makes it so special in comparison to gliding. And as far as the big cross-country flights are concerned, the highest score in the FAI/CIVL WXC this year (2023) was achieved with a paraglider, glide ratio 12, minimum sink 1m/s, V max 75 km/h, so actually pretty bad performance data, but for that a very low price and therefore, among other things, an incredible number of good young pilots who have now pushed the capabilities of their wings to an almost unreal high level.
I think its a bargain,i fly a swift pas and its half the price but its no where in the league of this piece of kit ,it is the best quality free flight glider out there and im going to buy one
As much as I hate the price point.. its not really a greed thing, its the cost of having a number of people working full-time to hand-build these, the real problem is the lack of "economy of scale" they only build a couple a year, if production was say 100 a year, actual cost would be probably in the $30-50k range. there is just no volume of customers, so part of the price is the years of development before selling a single unit.

Your glider is the most beautiful glider that i've never seen!!! congratulations...Thanks for innovate the aviation!
Haha, at 3:53 you can see three kinds of gliding - a bird, a hang-glider and the Archaeopteryx. Love this video!

Nice Halo with plane shadow at 5:05
Awesome glider
What are the speeds? I checked their website and only shows VNE 81
Vou postar no meu futuro site Brazil-Germany!
Fantastic, I need to get one.
Ohhhh men this is simply amazing, i love it.

Yeah it's cool and that but I bet recovery is still a pain in the asset when you land out. Doubt you can fix that.
If I could I'd totally get this.

how much does one cost?
Buenisimo !!!!!!! Quiero uno de esos planeadores!!!!!!!!!!!!

can it land on water? that would be the maximum
It's a good glider. How much cost. Manu Thanks
How much do these retail at rather interested!
Alucinante!

Bill True so did you buy one?
So you are very well off. What is your annual income and how much money do you have put away for retirement.
Did you buy one pal?

Cara muito bacana parabéns
well, that's some short take off distance now isn't it
Not to be pedantic, but the second is actually a paraglider, not a hang-glider :-)
Excelenteee!!!!
Yabadabadoo !!!
What is the total wingspan

Prices from 70,000 euros.
Ok perfecto exelente
Is this for real? Like does this work? It looks real, but internet have ruined me and makes me doubt everything.
+Christoffer Tagg Never seen a glider before? It really isn't that complex.
I'd stay away from flying if I were you - it requires the ability to think and act logically.
+John Walker mahahaha
Super kang... pesawat nya oke
Carbon fiber maniacs
more than 60.000 Euros. Irreal expensive...
It ain't made in China. It's a wonderful machine, excellent technology
Nice bit of aero engineering but questionable value for money. No information about its behaviour in a spin and no English version website.
ouch...
Voa igual meu pagamento. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Good job swissies
Cool plane, but not 73,000 CHF (82K USD) cool.... not even close.

A significant portion of the cost is for liability insurance. Underwriters gotta get paid.
