    My 3 year old son and I watch this at least every other day. His favorite part is 6:50 when the triangle falls. He does this fantastic fake cry and yells "My favorite triangle!" every. single. time. Thanks for making our day! I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this!

    Hi I'm Sprice and I am the Incredible Science Machine event coordinator and I worked on many of the machine sections.
    It has been a dream for many years to put something like this together with all of these amazing builders. The final product really was incredible and I hope we have more opportunities to build together in the future!

    I love the evolution progression on the roll of paper on the car around the 13 minute mark. I take it the last one is someone bent over placing dominoes.

    This is amazing because not only you guys managed to actually topple all dominoes over but also because the whole thing had a purpose, meaning and context... it's just absolutely EXCELLENT!

  • @barman1176
    @barman1176 8 лет назад +252

    As I watched this, I pondered how it's crazy that so many people can assemble something so that one person making a mistake didn't destroy the whole effort. Then after a minute or two I figured that they keep it modular and don't connect all of the various parts until the very end of the build. Even if something did topple by accident, the gaps would prevent loss of the whole thing.
    Probably had their best people do the last "connections".

    Hi, I'm the person who made the Zeal field, the GVTV field, half of the brown and black bridge, half of the domino human, the Quadratic Formula field, some of the sea animals, part of the Pi field, the fields that spell "Physics", some of the pendulums, and a majority of the Isaac Newton field. But I couldn't have built all that without the help of the rest of the team... all the builders are so amazing and I learned so much from just one week of building. Thanks for the experience!

    Wow the video came out great! It was an honor to meet so many amazing builders and be a part of this record breaking event! I guess since others are doing it I will too. xD I did the sea animals (except the seahorse), part of the car, half of the bridge, the blueprint, engineering fields, train tracks with flashdomino and SuperDominoJoe, train with SuperDominoJoe, designed and helped build the telephone wire wall, the CD sonimods, the North America and Austria fields, the internet status walls, the internet logo, the plug in diagram, half of the combination lock, and some other random stuff throughout the setup. I also designed the engineering and technology section, the dexter field, the atom crossfield, and the hydrogen field.
    Anyway xD It was amazing to be a part of such a fun and dynamic team!

    I mean, look at all the dedication and creativity that was put into this project! :o
    Side note: Woohoo, Austria! Thumbs up for the one who put Austria's map on there :D

    That was incredible! I have a suggestion for you. When you have a video of a chain reaction where others besides you participated, maybe you could have a note or something come up on the video when a part that you did comes up. As we were watching the video, we were wondering which part(s) you did. The light switch at the end was really cool. Thanks for all the fun videos. My kids love to watch them, and I might try to do the same thing some day. : )

      I just responded to another comment below telling them what part I built :) I think it might be distracting to put in the actual video so I wrote it out in a comment. I love the idea of the light switch too! I'm not sure who came up with it but it was a great ending!

    You guys did one of the most amazing chain reactions I've seen since like the last domino day. You took so many risks with all the difficult tricks instead of just making like a huge field or a single straight domino line. That's awesome. To be part of such a project is what I'm dreaming of. Hopefully there will be a huge CDT or another chain reaction project here in Europe soon ^^.

    • @Hevesh5
      @Hevesh5  9 лет назад +3

      We take risks cause it's more exciting ;) People get sick of the very planned out and typical field, line, or wall. We want to make out setups as interesting as possible and I'm glad we executed it well!

  • @AlexDings
    @AlexDings 9 лет назад +14

    Man that was impressive! Especially the machines because I could never get such a complicated contraption to work (I assume^^) but the dominoes were awesome and creative as well. And what an incredibly long falldown :-O I already watched it in the livestream but now I could see all the details (like the spaceship :P)
    I hope next year there will be a Germany map besides those of the US and Austria... ;-)

      I actually emailed him about the Kickstarter, thinking he would never respond. A couple days later, he responded and the first thing he said was "I've backed the project." Since then he's been very supportive, and he's been favoriting and replying to tweets we send him about the event. (I also built the entire Veritasium field in this event, by the way. 😄)

    wow, in the truest sense of the word an "incredible" Event!!
    This was so different to Events from European Domino Groups, but definitely not less awesome. The RGM-Parts were insane, I cannot imagine how you can build so cool stuff ^^
    I also really liked the editing. Did you (Hevesh) edit the video?
    Congratulations to the whole team for the record and for an awesome event! I wish I could have been there!
